If your AS is active please go ahead with Biologics or Tofacitinib as advised by your rheumatologist. If you can afford Biologics would be a better option. If not, Tofacitinib is also good.

But my latest mri showing straightening of lumbar spine with grade I spondylolisthesis and anterior osteophytes from L2 to L5. My rheumatologist is not able to give solution. Hello Doctor, my husband is taking Remicade IV once in two months since last yr. He finds relief in backpain but he also has IBD issues which triggers often inspite of maintaining diet. Injection when I have tested CBC , Creatinine & CRP for next phase injection, in CBC report Neutrophils is abnormal range 34 hai ( normal range (40-70) before injection neutrophils level 60, in between injection 54, 42,48 , last me 34 . Despite having a bamboo spine your AS does seem to be active as the CRP is 20. Biologics would help to control the AS activity & prevent further damage. The bamboo spine cannot be reversed though.. Do discuss with your rheumatologist.

It is difficult to comment without seeing you/ your X-ray. CRP reduction does indicate improving AS. CRP has reduced significantly in two months with Tofacitinib

Recurrent uveitis can happen with AS. Methotrexate can take care of this. Do speak to your rheumatologist about methotrexate

If you are in remission, then your rheumatologist would slowly taper the dose of Saaz.

Hello Doctor, my husband is taking Remicade IV once in two months since last yr. He finds relief in backpain but he also has IBD issues which triggers often inspite of maintaining diet. His Rheumatologist suggested remicade for an year and also that it will work both for AS and IBD. Is there any other biologics suitable for both issues? Pls guide. Thankyou.

Remicade does work on both. Adalimumab also works on both AS & IBD.

Pl do not stop medicines on your own. Continue them as advised by your rheumatologist. Your rheumatologist will taper the meds once you are in remission

Sir I am AS warriors , I have taken 24 no. Etacept (50 mg)( per week 1 no). But after completing 24 no. Injection when I have tested CBC , Creatinine & CRP for next phase injection, in CBC report Neutrophils is abnormal range 34 hai ( normal range (40-70) before injection neutrophils level 60, in between injection 54, 42,48 , last me 34 . Biologics can effect neutrophils level?

Do talk to your rheumatologist about fibromyalgia & see if you have fibromyalgia in addition to AS.

Sir , I have already developed bamboo spine. although my pain and stiffness is not very troubling to me and I do routine task with some adjustments..kindly let me know how does this disease progress beyond bamboo spine.and any use of biologics at this stage. My CRP usually around 20
Despite having a bamboo spine your AS does seem to be active as the CRP is 20. Biologics would help to control the AS activity & prevent further damage. The bamboo spine cannot be reversed though.. Do discuss with your rheumatologist.

Pl talk to your rheumatologist about Tofacitinib. Tofacitinib is a much cheaper option.

Tofacitinib acchi dawa hai. Agar NSAID/ saaz/ sazo goli se AS control me nahi aa raha ho to diya jata hai. Rheumatologist ke guidance me le lena.

Saaz does not affect the kidneys. However, Omnacortil is a steroid & not recommended in the long run. Are you seeing a rheumatologist?

AS ko control me rakhne ke liye Remicade chalu rakhna. Agar hip ka osteoarthritis kabhi jyada hoga to hi surgery karni adegi. Rheumatologist se discuss karna ki hip ka OA kitna kharab hai.

It is difficult to comment without seeing you/ your X-ray. CRP reduction does indicate improving AS. CRP has reduced significantly in two months with Tofacitinib

प्रश्न - मैं 9 साल से saaz 1000mg ले रहा हूं और 8 महीने से tofacitanib + saaz और मुझे दर्द कभी कभार होता है लगभग 10 महीने में 2 - 3 दिन बस! बाकि में normally रहता हूं ....exercises करत हूँ , 20 लीटर पानी की बाल्टी उठाता हू , कपड़े धोना, पैदल 6-7 km चलता हूँ , दौड़ लेता हूँ, push- up करना, शादी में DJ में डांस करता हूँ , हाल ही में मैंने PCS की परीक्षा दी थी उसमें 6 घंटे बिना सर ऊपर किए लिखा ( 3 - 3 करके ) !
