Access the battery on 2018+ Honda Goldwing

How to access the dead battery on the 2018+ Honda Goldwing. The battery can easily be drained if you do not turn off the bike.

so it needs the side cargo door to be open to remove the battery cover ? If that remains closed wont the battery cover still open or would it remain blocked?

You can use the emergency key to remove the back panel. Use the hook on the key.
