Love this comment! My mom always told me that i have 2300 employees in my company alone since im in manufacturing but haven’t found my soulmate yet! 😂😂
I have binge watching this channel for days now and I know more about this place than my own hometown at this point 😂 absolutrly love this channel and adore you guys! Your energy is so sweet and genuine and I feel like Im hanging out with a friend when I watch. Wishing you all the best 💖 from the US
No wonder why Christoffer is such a great cook! 😁. It doesn’t seem that there’s any age gap between the two of you. Thanks for showing Huset, it’s very interesting how many things happen there.
My husband and I are 10 years apart and it has never been an issue. In fact, his maturity and self assuredness stood out for me. Every best wish for you and the gorgeous Grimm. I love your videos.
My late hubby and I were 30 years apart. Soulmates. Love knows no age. I love your vibe and videos. Thanks for sharing your part of the world, from Northern Arizona,, USA
"Then we went on another camping trip..." The way you two started laughing, kind of with this "wink-wink, nudge-nudge" vibe going on, gave me the impression that it was one heck of a camping trip!!
Christopher looks like the strong and silent type. He looks dependable and looks trustworthy. You are lucky to have him. One's an extrovert and the other an introvert. Lovely couple. Lots of love from India
We all have fallen in love with Christoffer! Watch out Cecilia, you’ll have flights full of single women arriving on Svalbard, lol! Handsome, kind and funny-the fatal trio to catch your heart ❤️ Many blessings to you both for your life together 💕
Maybe they can start a Svalbard Singles dating agency, where they recommend all the local available people for visitors to come meet and tour Svalbard together.
You popped in on "my recommendations" and I've been hooked on your channel ever since. I love where you live, your life, your sweet boyfriend, Grim and Fenris! Before your channel, I had no idea there was an island past Iceland where people lived all year long. I look forward to many more of your videos in the future. Grim is a rock star btw! God bless!
I went to school at huset. 6 and 7th grade. The highlights was when the Russian dance and theater group used to visit and entertain in huset. Lots of good memories
That was a lovely story of how and where you all met .......when you go back for dinner it has to be duck cooked in a toasted sandwich maker on a coffee table🦆🥘 for old times sake😂.......So glad you & Christoffer found each other and are soul mates....a nice return to where it all started and to look where you are now.💞🏠 🐶 Thank you for adding some interesting history to your video's Stay Safe as Always & may the sun, when it returns always shine on you all 🧡
I see the thumbnail says 13 year age gap?! You both age so well! My parents are ten years apart and just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. Cheers to you and Christoffer for many more years together ☺️
The beginning of the video with the darkness & snow blowing brings back memories of my Alaskan home. Don’t miss the cold & dark, but miss family for sure!
I love learning the history of Longyearbyen, seeing the old photos and imagining how life was back then for all those people and their children Thanks for sharing this piece of your lives, interesting to imagine your jobs at Huset and how your paths crossed here and the journey of Cecelia and Christoffer began and so sweet that Grim and Fenris were also at the Huset house , save the waking up Christoffer part, lol!
I remember standing at the bottom of those stairs when the mail was handed out. Boy memories are flooding back. I love watching your channel. Thank you so much . You are doing a great job. I am planning to visit again. Live in California now. Life sure is funny
I loved this. I'm so proud of how Christoffer is more comfortable in front of the camera now too. How his face lit up looking round the old room, must have a lot of memories :) xx
It's nice to hear about the history of places and buildings as well as your story ✌🏼 These videos have such a calming effect on me. I think I've said this before but your videos inspired me to start studying travel and hospitality, working in Svalbard being the end goal. Hopefully 😅
The history of Svalbard is interesting and without you I would never probably have heard of it . It's an unusual life you lead Christopher seems to be a quiet chap and I think you have totally changed his life Hes a lucky guy .Age gaps are unimportant age is just a number
I agree with you that he really got lucky. However age gaps are very important. Especially when you get to 70’s and 80’s. If one partner is in 50’s and the other is in 70’s the life is very different. By standard, people start experiencing declining physical and mental health in their older years and often the younger partner becomes a caretaker.!
Great video. I have so much respect and admiration for you and Christopher. Living in Svalbard is beyond my comprehension. It is so beautiful but I am 71 yrs. and don't do cold and snow very well. Thank you for sharing your lives and your home. One of your videos I watched several days ago. I was speechless and impressed when Cecilia put her rifle on her shoulder whilst walking Grimm. Unbelievable. Never crossed my mind about the polar bears.
It was so sweet as you talked about how you met and started dating. It sure did make Christopher light up like a Christmas tree. I couldn't believe all the wine my gosh they must do a lot of drinking there at one time or another I'm trying to wrap my mind around people living so close to the Arctic and such cold weather
It is so good to see Christoffer smile and laugh! He's a quite a guy! You're lucky to have him Cecilia! Thanks so much for the tour and the history. Cheers from Texas!
When we witnessed the wind it occurred to me that there are no trees to block the wind so it is probably pretty fierce. So cute to see you three revisit your origin story. 😍
I think what makes your videos interesting is that there's a yin-yang effect, where the beauty and coziness of life meets the harsh winter and solitude above the Arctic circle.
People make a big deal about age differences, if you are over 18(in the USA), what the heck, if both people are happy, that is all that matters. Finding the right partner to share your life is a real blessing.
I think it would be fun to do a stint there working for a couple of years. It doesn't seem too hard as they probably always need workers. I bet Cecilia has done great things for tourism too!
My husband, and I, met in a small coastal city, of about 3,000... I was 29, he was 41, and it worked great! He's by far, the extrovert, and I'm the introvert, but maturity level wise - our age difference never been an issue! It's almost perfect, in that way lol 😅 Love your vids, and would love to visit Norway someday, and experience the midnight sun, and/or the arctic night.
Lovely to hear your story how you met each other 💕Christoffer smile laughter says it all even though he a quite& shy person. He does so well behind the scenes 😊 . Grim just such a cutie ❤
They are all characters but ya gotta love Christoffer. Just one look at his eyes and you can see alot is going on in there behind the scenes. Cracks me up
One of my favorite things about Swedish (and other scandinavian languages?) is that every building is a Hus (house)! It makes everything feel so homey :). I loved studying at A-huset, the architecture building at Lund University.
I always wanted to get married in the arctic I'm going to have to check this place out now that it's a reality! You guys are the sweetest couple I'm so happy for you that you found each other.
Your videos are so relaxing and enjoyable! I'm so happy TH-cam recommended your channel. I haven't stopped watching since😊. And my kids watch with me because they are fascinated to see and learn about people that live near the North pole, close to Santa 🎅, lol.
Love this video. So nice to see Christoffer laughing and feeling relaxed on screen. Your expression when you said ‘we started dating’ … adorable! Thank you for sharing your personal story. 💕 You guys are so sweet together.
I like in a tropical country. Your videos are magical, the vlogs are so beautiful .I will never be able to visit these places but through your videos I am seeing salvard.
The floors, the fixtures, the woodwork, would like to see that place. It is lovely to feel good about where you live, almost a privilege, so glad you have been sharing your home with us. Great sponsor by the way, goes hand in hand with these videos 🤗❤️🌿
Thank you Cecilia and Christoffer for the info and tour, love takes stange ways but can get so amazing right in the end, in the hand of faith and good luck! With love to you both and big warm hugs ❤🥰🤗 as well as of course a lot of pats to sweet Grim! 🐶 Such a funny 🤣 😆 history too that Christoffer trowed water on the dogs from his window in Huset to silence them.
Greetings from Calgary, Alberta, Canada I love your videos and always look forward to watching them Thanks for the history lessons on your Beautiful Town and Island 🥰
Babbel does actually work fairly well. Even if you have core foundation of language but can't get past that. It will fast track you. So nice to see the path you traveled to get you to now. Beautiful building... If Grimm can climb and go down those stairs, maybe it's surface that is stress? Take care
Got my coffee, sitting down, havent watched yet but already know I’ll love this video too! Grateful you’re giving us this peak into your lives, you too are the cutest! 💛
That’s a beautiful building, thank you for sharing, Cecilia😊 I love watching you and Christoffer interact and share your memories. Please do bring us along for an evening and dinner, I can’t wait. Give Grim a big hug from all his adoring fans🧡. Hope you and your sweet family have a wonderful week..so excited you are having some sunlight peeking out at you ☀️.
A fascinating history Cecillia & Christoffer. Svalbard is such an interesting place and you do a fantastic job in showing the world what it is like & live there. Thank you for sharing, it's also great to hear Christoffer add his voice. Cheers from Australia :)
The glow on both of your faces about first meeting each other 🥰 Bucket of water story is hilarious !!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing , I feel like I’m a part of your Svalbard life ♥️
It looks like 261 thousand of us are loving your,e videos of life in Sweden...so interesting, and your funny sense of humour is lovely!! Great watching, and Thankyou from England it’s such a change from our dismal news front!
New video, yay! Enjoyed listening to how you met Christoffer and Grim. The history of Huset was so interesting. You have such a pleasant voice to listen to and Christoffer’s laugh and humor is so cool. So, Christoffer’s cooking book any time soon? Would definitely buy. Sending you three ❤️
.You two bring each other in balance, there is a lot of love in both eyes and humor ...That's the two most important thing to have a good relation.Enjoy together😍
I love the sweet story of how you and Christoffer met. The story of Christoffer cooking duck in a toaster oven had me laughing. The Huset is beautiful with it's Scandinavian design , wood flooring and the wine cellar is fabulous . I would enjoy tasting the wine. I like a glass of red wine in the winter so the climate in Svalbard is perfect for a Pinot noir ! It would be great if you can show us the kitchen when the renovation is finished and maybe a jazz concert if you're able to film an event. It's a cold day here in Florida 35 F ( cold for Floridians). The U.S. is having some blustery weather especially in the North East. Boston my birthplace experienced a blizzard yesterday , the wind was roaring like the wind in beginning of your video. I like spending time in the kitchen on cold days making a comfort food dish. Today the dish is Chicken & Dumplings. It's a chicken soup with onions , carrots , celery, and dumplings. I think in Sweden the dumpling is a klimp. Wishing you, Christoffer & Grim a fabulous week in magical Svalbard !
Cecilia your 20min long videos seems like so short , love to keep watching them they are so peaceful, loving and calming in its own sense, with Grim's presence its all just make it too cute to cant eye off 🤩😍 Thank you for sharing your life stories with us. ❣❣
Ahh I love this one so much! The story of you two is adorable and the fact that Grim was there with you both at the beginning of your journey makes it even more special!!!
I live in the hot desert of Arizona. I've enjoyed learning about your lifestyle & culture. It's so foreign & fascinating! Thank you so much for sharing. 💚💜💚
Such a surprise to see the accommodations in such unassuming buildings. So austere from the outside and yet so warm, cozy and inviting in many of the rooms on the inside!
I'm really surprised at how modern the building and town is! It's pretty cool...thanks for the tour!! And, yes, I'm binge watching... Caught between you and Some guy in Russia helping homeless people, Unstoppable Morgan in Florida, some Shaolin Monk in China giving life advice, a Norwegian chick living in her woods with the reindeer, and balloons being shot down over the Great Lakes...or UFOs...we don't know yet! ...oh, and dangerous train derailments...🤣
I’m curious to know how you were able to get into the building and just walk around when it’s closed for the season? Is that normal in Svalbard or did you have permission?
I am addicted to your channel!!!! I love everything you post. As soon as you post a video, I play it as soon as I can. I look all the time and wait for more to be posted. I love my Grim ❤
What a beautiful, historical place! Was this the place where you & Linn & Christoffer had dinner at a couple of months ago? The main dining room looked familiar from a previous video! Christoffer: "And then we went on another cabin trip..." Cecilia: "haahahahah" Christoffer: "hahahaahaha" You two are the CUTEST! 🙂💜💜 Marianna
1951? Geez...our oldest houses HERE date back to the 1650s...My house is 97 years old. The one I grew up in was built in 1903. I would think given such a harsh climate that buildings succumb to the weather fast though? I Know it's a constant struggle in New England to keep buildings in shape, compared to when I lived in Seattle...My truck, for instance- rock salt and sand on the roads from snowstorms rots our cars...
Yo aprovecho a practicar inglés escuchándote.
Lovely video, love the history fascinating!! Would love to come to Svalbard in the future with my wife Claire ! Cecilia & Christoffer would be lovely to meet you guys if we were to visit, love your Channel !! What a place to live it's pretty unique !!
I love every video you guys make. Christoffer is so cute when he smiles and laughs. The 2 of you seem to be perfect for each other. The more I watch the more I want to live there. Will you adopt me? I can be your mother, I'm old enough. Lol. Thank you for sharing this amazing part of the world. I live in the Yukon, Canada, in a small village of about 450 people. It can get really cold, down to the -50 C cold. The coldest recorded day, it went down to -80! Don't think I could handle that. We get very little sun in the winter, but not like you have. I could live there because I love it when it's dark. So, that's it for my world. Keep on sharing your amazing lives and thank you for doing it.
To go to a place with 2000 people and still manage to meet your partner - now THAT’S impressive
I think it's quite the opposite!
Very impressive... I am in a country of 200 million people and I haven't found my partner🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha so true

Quiet & shy Christoffer brings up the ‘2nd Cabin trip’ !!! So cute 🥰
haha!
The way he blushed was ADORABLE!!! 🥰🥰🥰
I noticed his cheeky smile then too... 😍😁
I've never seen Christoffer smile so much! What a treat!
They seem so different in so many ways. I guess that's where the magic of their relationship is.
You two are the cutest! Christoffer’s smile when he says about the cabin trip is so pure 🥰
Oh one of THOSE weekends away ;)

I think in Sweden the dumpling is a klimp. Wishing you, Christoffer & Grim a fabulous week in magical Svalbard !
Cecilia your 20min long videos seems like so short , love to keep watching them they are so peaceful, loving and calming in its own sense, with Grim's presence its all just make it too cute to cant eye off 🤩😍 Thank you for sharing your life stories with us. ❣❣
Love the history of the town. 😍 Will the town continue to expand or is there a desire to limit the growth or influx of people who want to move there?
Ahh I love this one so much! The story of you two is adorable and the fact that Grim was there with you both at the beginning of your journey makes it even more special!!!
I live in the hot desert of Arizona.
I've enjoyed learning about your lifestyle & culture.
It's so foreign & fascinating!
Thank you so much for sharing. 💚💜💚
You are the most adorable couple. How fortunate you are.
You make a great couple and family with Grimmie-boy! It has to take alot of effort living there so great teamwork! 💗💗💗
I’m curious to know how you were able to get into the building and just walk around when it’s closed for the season? Is that normal in Svalbard or did you have permission?
She does videography in the village all the time, she probably just asked
I am addicted to your channel!!!! I love everything you post. As soon as you post a video, I play it as soon as I can. I look all the time and wait for more to be posted. I love my Grim ❤
What a beautiful, historical place! Was this the place where you & Linn & Christoffer had dinner at a couple of months ago? The main dining room looked familiar from a previous video!
Christoffer: "And then we went on another cabin trip..."
Cecilia: "haahahahah"
Christoffer: "hahahaahaha"
You two are the CUTEST! 🙂💜💜
Marianna
Christoffer's a mans man he doesn't like the mushy stuff. I love it. You both are inspiring.
You and Christoffer have the perfect blend for a stable, happy relationship. I enjoy the vids of you two together.
Great question about the language Grim understands...
I love hearing you guys talk.
It's a happy language
Love this episode!! Christopher has such a sense of humor. I can see how the two of you are both compatible. ❤
I wish I had a tenth of Chris’s chill level.
Love learning about the history of life on Svalbard! Your videos are the perfect blend of personal and historical/informational 😊
