If I were attending a function like that in high school, which I’m sure was after hours and voluntary based on how everyone was dressed, and was talking to Jesse outside and told to break it up and go back inside the auditorium/cafeteria, I would have left. Even if during normal school hours I would have gone elsewhere on campus as I know the school cannot legally make attending that type function a requirement. Jesse’s definitely a “Button Pusher”. When I first started watching Jesse's videos I thought he was the most ignorant and rudest person on the planet about his putdown of black people but when he explained his views I realized that he had a lot of love for them but very tough love. When Jesse says he white on the inside he isn't talking about race people misconstrue his meaning he also explained what he meant by that it had nothing to do with white people he doesn't explain it when he interviews people. I talked to Jesse several times over the phone I called in 3 or 4 times.

And I can tell you from first hand experience, the reason a lot of black and lgbtq+ do not get hired is because they come in disheveled, wearing pj's, etc. Most jobs, employees are the face of the company and companies want people who at least take the time to fix themselves up a little bit before coming to their job interview. That just tells the employer, your not interested. I have hired people from all walks of life, with & without experience. Came in dressed up or just in clean jeans & tshirt with their hair combed. It's how you present yourself whether you will hired. And when the young girl said about getting call backs by just applications, employers will call back the application that is filled out properly and legible. They should be teaching all of this in high school like they used to
I know from experience that you are 100% wrong, especially about that little application part, because we all know sometimes the people who are in the positions to grant jobs will overlook some people for others. Why would you assume people aren’t filling simple applications out right? They probably don’t have access internet or id’s either huh?

I have hired numerous poc, white and lgbtq. I didn't discriminate based on color. But I have had people show up to interview in pajamas and hair uncombed. I also had a lady come dressed in clean ripped jeans and tshirt , hair done,w/tattoos and a baby, that I did hired. Her baby sitter canceled but she really wanted the job. She had no experience. She put the effort in for the interview and really wanted to work. So don't insinuate that I either don't know what I am talking about or am discriminating against people. And a lot of people do not know how to fill out an application. That's why I said it should be taught at school

First of all, I live here in New York City (Brooklyn) and there are a lot of people who are Homosexuals who are Christians and know and understand the Holy Scriptures. If God is love and mankind was/is created in his image, then as a father of creation he loves all his children regardless.
Because a father's love is unconditional, not conditional. The almighty does not put limitations on his children only hypocrites.

When you say "in the community we talk about", well, honestly should be changed to 'told about'.
The biggest thing about Jesse and his experiences is that he grew up in real segregation, and so he saw a real strength rise from it. People told black men they couldn't do or be something because they were black. Well go tell a group of teenage boys from any race what they can't do, and see how many try to do it.
Now the narrative has changed from 'because you are black' to 'because of white people'. It gives a reason to deny self growth and proof for an external excuse. Telling black kids they weren't worth anything because of race didn't work because they fought and worked to prove that wrong, so racisr politicians flipped the script after civil rights movements. Telling someone what they can't do because of their own self being made them work harder. Giving people an excuse though, that's demoralizing, and makes people angry at the external reason.
Van I enjoy the way you are such a fair man with integrity who wants to hear both sides respectfully even when you disagree. You listen to understand and are open to having your mind changed. You laugh and appreciate comedians that today would never cut it. Funny is funny and it’s ok to laugh at ourselves and each other. I know you’re trying to make a joke when you say, “Why you snitching, Jesse?” But, it is that type of mentality that gets troubled communities into the situation they’re in. If something is against the law, report it and point out the culprit.
That really depends on the law. If it is against the law to speak out against transing children, should we report people who do it? The law needs to be able to be backed up by logic and moral principles, even though morality is subjective.

I finally get why Jesse tells the boy to love his dad. Not because he needs him in his life now.. bit late for that... but to let go of any anger and resentment he"s unknowingly harbouring. Its not healthy.
I remember the story about Drew Barrymore. She grew up being raised by her mom. We all know about her toxic childhood . She never had her father in her life. He had his issues. When he was dying . She took cared of him. She forgave him for not being in her life. She honored him. She has say by taking care of her father had healed her.
This young man at the end who keeps saying, "I love everyone" when asked if he loves his father on earth whom is not in his life just keeps repeating his line, "I love everyone" but his eyes say otherwise. He is angry and hurt, there is a hole in his heart. I hope he finds his father. He has been made to believe a father does not matter but that is not true. He may be a good guy or a bad guy but you need to know the truth of why they choose not to be in your life, forgive them for your own sake not theirs and move on.

Learn to listen and Listen to learn. You don’t have to agree with anyone but if you want dialogue you’ve got to be prepared to listen. Facts don’t care about feelings.
