People forget that people with guns save people everyday.
Unfortunately that thought doesn't even enter most of their minds in the first place so they never even have the chance to forget it. But that's why the freedom of speech is so important because for being able to think you need to be able to put your thoughts into words and for others being able to know what you think they need to be able to hear (of read) your words just the way you want to say them.

the problem with the questions he ask arent just simple yes or no questions. They are not absolute and sometimes there needs to be an explanation, and he acts like he doesnt allow that part. some could see that as steering/leading.

They hear what they want to hear, overtalk or cut the other off before they can get their idea out, or move onto another question before the previous one was even answered. In my opinion, that's shady practice and makes it seems as if only 1 opinion matters. If it was me and it starts getting like that, I'd rather just leave due to the fact it would seem as if they really didn't want to hear what I had to say.

That's right, because people who brake the law are usually very careful of not braking any other laws at the same time, criminals have always been very strict that way so if you just use that logic you should be ok. I found this to be a bit sad. I learn about the 2nd amendment in 5th grade. As I am a millennial, and not even a decade apart, but the fact that they are already around middle school age, and have not heard of the 2nd amendment, not even in a passing, just shows how these schools are indoctrinating these kids. Our founding fathers are livid, doing backflips, somersaults, and even cartwheels in their graves.
I'm sorry, but I really cannot stand when someone with a foreign accent is in our country, complaining about our rights. If you disagree with American rights, don't come to America. These are just instigators.
It makes me sad when people don't understand history. The reason for the 2nd amendment was so the people could protect themselves from a tyrannical government. It amazes me that people want to let that same government decide whether they qualify to exercise their rights. An armed society is a polite society. @@Giz9172 A big part of the problem, is we stopped addressing mental health. They used to teach how to shoot and handle firearms in school, and we didn't have these problems. Now, we teach kids to be entitled brats, with participation trophies, and telling them everything they desire is okay. We have created emotional narcissists, that can't handle life, or basic reality.

@@Giz9172 I wasn't taught about firearms in school, they removed it from the curriculum in the late 60's. It was even in text books. I'm not sure if it was nationwide, but it was a thing at a time when school shooting weren't common. And yes, bad parenting is a huge part of the problem, but you're ignoring that bad parenting, abuse and neglect, lead to mental problems. I also never said trophies were bad, I said participation trophies. They should be earned, not just handed out so the kid that doesn't win feels special. It creates entitlement when they're not earned. Also, just because your kid became an Army Ranger (thank him for his service), doesn't mean every kid will end up achieving. That's the point. Many kids don't have the drive your son has, and don't deserve to be rewarded. Have you ever considered your kid is one of the kids that would win the trophies if they weren't handed out for just existing? You've done well raising your kids. But the kid who doesn't put out the effort, and is still rewarded, will think they are supposed to just be handed things, which obviously doesn't apply to your kids from what you're saying. Again, you're raising your kids right, but that doesn't mean other parents are doing the same.

I am not an American, but in my opinion, there is not a lot of difference between the parties. Recently though, the gap has become a bit wider, because the dems have truly lost their minds. However, the fundamentals are more or less the same.
Most of the republicans are very similar to the democrats on how they think the government should be structured. They are all in favour of big government, which is the main problem in most countries around the world. The government needs to be shrunken, and needs to get their tentacles out of the economy. The economy is the key to freedom, especially the monetary system.
I see so many people blaming the inflation purely in Biden, but this is wrong imo. Trump also contributed greatly to the problem. He decreased government revenue in form of tax breaks, but still increased government spending. He also approved Corona helicopter money (stimulus checks). Horrible policy.
In the words of the great Thomas Sowell: "Good politics is bad economics, good economics is bad politics". Government will almost never do the right thing because of this, because doing the right thing will kill your political career.

I used to be against guns and still don't own one myself but in this day and age, I've changed my mind. If someone is pulling a gun at me or my loved one, I want to be able to protect them.

I've got mixed emotions about how he handled it. Do I think he should be more calm? Yes. But let's take into consideration she and those protesters are advocating taking away our rights. Secondly, most leftists have no problem telling you it's unacceptable to counter their protest. Ask yourself, why is it okay for them to express themselves, while telling others they can't have a different opinion?
