Jordan Y Here. A little bit to add. My list was for sure going to be Isengard no real inspiration from the GBHL. I always spam crossbows when I play Isengard (I think personally it’s optimal in this F5 world of this edition). I took the Bomb Team mainly as a hedge on the event I ran into Blinding Light and didn’t want all my shooting to be ruined. Ballista list essentially takes all Uruks with similar numbers (it’s generally a better list in my opinion) Game 1 vs Charles Charles got somewhat “diced”. I’m pretty sure I won almost every priority and then on almost every Heroic Move, I won the roll off. Also his one Shaman spent 3 Turns attempting to cast Shatter on Lurtz which was incredibly unlucky for him. Game 2 vs Richard Not much to add to your commentary. I did have a creative play to subvert the fact that Aragdir was my target by setting up a Heroic Combat with Gorolf into Malbeth which ultimately led to nothing in the end. Was a fun event overall. Was great to get a chance to play both Charles and Richard.
I do hope the new rulebook clarifies if broken is 50% dead (as the rules read) or 50%+1 as the community decided to play for reasons. 50%+1 benefits elite forces and hero lists unnecessariliy.
@@Competentetyler "When you write your army list for Matched Play (or gather the models required to play certain Scenarios), you must also calculate your Break Point. This is always equal to half of the models in your army at the start of the game. Even if the number of models in your army increases as the game goes on, your Break Point remains unchanged. A force with 50 models would have a Break Point of 25, whilst one with 13 models would have a Break Point of 6.5." Unless there's some reference somewhere else a force that lost half (or half rounded up for odds) is broken
Per the Rules manual, your break point is equal to half your models (army of 50, break point is 25; army of 13, break point is 6.5). Your force is considered broken if the number of troops you have lost *exceeds* your break point. Therefore, in an army of 50 models, you are broken when you've lost 26 models, and in an army of 13 models, you are broken when you have lost 7. That's how the rules are written and how the community plays. I don't see any reason why it should change

Thanks for the added context, it was great to have you at the Masters tournament!
See you next year at Clash!
I will never again max the bows in isengard

Really? I didn't think it was that big of a deal either way
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Broken is “below” 50%. Quartered is “at” 25%.
@@intothewestpodcast I think it's one of those things that probably made a huge accumulated difference at the margin.
