Lester has the biggest heart for of his animals I have been a long time follower of his. I am now a follower of Steinmetz Family Farm. Lester,Justin and Jeff were so fun to watch together the last few days.
I totally understand how some of the SFF people may be sad that Chuck’s not being petted but Lester has to get in the pasture to work, feed, etc. and wouldn’t you rather have Chuck being able to roam about safely with Lester in there instead of Chuck being stuck in a small little pen just so he can be petted? It really is in Chuck’s best interest. Said with understanding and kindness.
Definitely agree with what Lester needs to do. Came over from SFF and have enjoyed this channel too. I did want to say Chuck has never been penned up so he could be petted. He had a few acres to roam and would come to food or familiar faces. He's a smart bull and will learn quickly and I can't wait to follow along for all the animals in TX.

I just meant now that he did unintentionally hurt someone because he is so overly friendly there wouldn’t be much else that would keep someone totally safe then containing him. So Lester being firm is a much better option to me I’ve just met Chuck since this happened a couple weeks ago and I’m already in love with him!.

I watched several of the Stirnmetz videos of Chuck. He was VERY aggressive!! Lester is wise to be cautious. When the medication wears off we are going to see a very different Chuck. One of the videos showed Chuck bellowing clear across his pasture when he spotted Jeff in it. I’m glad Lester knows about bulls!!!
Good reminder about the medication. Lester is very good with bulls if you look back in his videos you will see how Tex was with Billy(his dad's bullnext door at Plum Grove property)

No, not mad at you. Chuck is obviously loved by many, but life changes. He’s starting a new life. You need to be safe and he needs to follow the rules of your farm. He’s an animal and animals can sometimes be unpredictable. With a 1500lb animal you must be careful. Chuck is going to thrive for the rest of his beautiful life! You’re a very kind man, Lester! P. S. As a teacher, the best practice is to establish authority by being firm and direct with boundaries. Later, after the hierarchy is settled, then comes the security and confidence of a healthy relationship where each person/animal can thrive. I totally agree with your behavior technique/style Lester. ❤
We see the 'teacher' in Lester every day in his videos in his methods in working with his animals as well as his viewers. He must have turned out some happy students in his day as a school teacher. He was ISD Teacher of the Year and there are some videos of that on TH-cam as well as videos on his work inside the classroom with his students - dancing and rapping. He was a much loved Teacher.

I understand and agree with you about establishing boundaries with Chuck. I don’t for one second believe that Chuck attacked Justin out of maliciousness, I believe he was just trying to get Justin to play but he (Chuck) doesn’t understand how much bigger and stronger he is than a human being. And how much harm he inflicted on Jason. Jason is so lucky to be alive today. You setting boundaries with Chuck will ensure your safety as well as his well being. We all know you well enough by now to know you don’t harm your animals in order to keep them in line. Chuck is going to love living there @ the JL Ranch. Oh she is so FULL of mischief! Sometimes you can see in her face when she is simply "pushing buttons" for her own amusement. I believe Lester and Jami know that face and have learned to be pre emptive with her, the way we sometimes know with our own children who sometimes get that look that means trouble is coming.

I’ve had ADHD and anxiety most of my life, certain situations really trigger the symptoms, I see so much of myself in Lester, especially during this video and with how he’s projecting his anxiety onto the viewers, and it hurts my heart (I wish someone could gently and calmly pat him on the back and tell him he’s doing a fantastic job letting Chuck out for the first time while steering Rita and Roman out of the way). 🙏🏻👏🏼❤️

Chuck is a rock star!!! He took that 24 hour transport with what seems to be very little stress. I cannot help but think he’ll be very happy with having so many companions.
I love chuck and am here to stay. You have to ensure what’s best and safest for the babies as well as yourself. People will see the change and may not like it. If they really care for his wellbeing they will be understanding with the changes to come.
Lester you cannot have CHUCK coming up to you like he did with Justin Just like A friend of mine She had 2 different DOG breeds When she came home from work She gave both her FUR BABIES loving got down in the floor and would talk with them hugs and patting both breeds One day she came inside started Loving up on both of her babies They got into a FIGHT right in her face bitting each other and her as well It was very sad She had to have medical treatment at the ER Her Fur Babies could no longer Hug and PETT them like she did She put both of them in TRAINING and she even had to learn how to play with her DOGS without having both DOGS with her at the same time LESTER you didn’t bottle feed CHUCK you also know how DANGEROUS animals can be at any GIVEN TIME Justin had raised CHUCK from a calf Bless his heart And he never thought that CHUCK would hurt him that bad So thankful it wasn’t worse outcome on Justin then it was. Just like the time Carl first attacked you You were very lucky that you didn’t get hurt in that tumble Animal can change it anytime And you Lester has to be able to work inside the fence and with the animals so you have to be unguard at all times hopefully other people will understand And you you got your guard up because you seen what Chuck done to Justin and you’re still willing to give Chuck a forever home and I’m thankful for that You and Jami are hard working loving and taking care of a LOT of ANIMALS
I understand your policy of not touching your Bulls and that works out with your bulls for sure. I have been watching on replay. As to your last question, about how we feel about you Lester, showing Chuck the way it will be. I just think you showed your vast knowledge of cattle compared to Justin and Jeff. We know you play the fool a lot, but you also know stuff about ranching. You were raised with it and have been actively involved with cattle for years. You really impressed me when you washed one of the horses man parts while inside the pouch. You showed your teacher side.

We were city slickers when we bought our farm, many years ago and learned so much from our neighbors. They always warned us from day one… NEVER ever lay hands on a bull. Heck, you can see how Ruby and Danni who were bottle fed run up on you and want to play. They were handled as babies and they do not know their own strength as they get larger. They want to play and it can end up being very dangerous. I love that Roman is the HIGH HORSE in that pasture. I would hate to see Roman get hurt by Chuck. You are doing a great job of educating those who do not know anything about these massive animals. You are not being mean… YOU are the alpha on your ranch and always should be. You are a very loving human being when it comes to your animals but you KNOW their body language and are able to do whatever it takes for them to live out their best lives. Not that it matters but my three favorite animals of yours are ANNIE, Dinkie AND now Roman. (In that order.) I have followed you since that video of you crying as you came down your driveway after Harvey.
Those alfalfa forage treats are what Justin fed Chuck and he loved them, so he prob. left the treats. Since Chuck's used to it and gonna be a steer anyway, will it hurt to hand feed him some treats? I loved when Chuck first got close to Rita how Roman put himself in the middle as if he was protecting her. LOL What a good boy he is!

We all love animals here, I didn't know Uno that well but with the video I saw of him and knowing what happened made me cry. Chuck will probably not get hands on love till he becomes a steer, but I think he's magnificent and very handsome, I'm glad he's alive and if he's not already loved, he will be. Chuck always had a Hotwire on the fence, they wanted to make sure he didn’t bump out of the gate. They wanted to make sure everyone and animal was safe.

I understand and agree with you about establishing boundaries with Chuck. I don’t for one second believe that Chuck attacked Justin out of maliciousness, I believe he was just trying to get Justin to play but he (Chuck) doesn’t understand how much bigger and stronger he is than a human being. And how much harm he inflicted on Jason. Jason is so lucky to be alive today. You setting boundaries with Chuck will ensure your safety as well as his well being. We all know you well enough

Lester, I am so proud of you. You see what I see in Chuck. He is a Bull that doesn’t realize he is an adult and not an animal to be playing with like when he was a baby. He wasn’t allowed to grow up. No offense to Justin & Jeff. Chuck never intended to hurt anyone. Lester the way you are working with Chuck made me feel so happy for Chuck. Oh she is so FULL of mischief! Sometimes you can see in her face when she is simply "pushing buttons" for her own amusement. I believe Lester and Jami know that face and have learned to be pre emptive with her, the way we sometimes know with our own children who sometimes get that look that means trouble is coming.

I’ve had ADHD and anxiety most of my life, certain situations really trigger the symptoms, I see so much of myself in Lester, especially during this video and with how he’s projecting his anxiety onto the viewers, and it hurts my heart (I wish someone could gently and calmly pat him on the back and tell him he’s doing a fantastic job letting Chuck out for the first time while steering Rita and Roman out of the way). 🙏🏻👏🏼❤️

Lester you cannot have CHUCK coming up to you like he did with Justin Just like A friend of mine She had 2 different DOG breeds When she came home from work She gave both her FUR BABIES loving got down in the floor and would talk with them hugs and patting both breeds One day she came inside started Loving up on both of her babies They got into a FIGHT right in her face bitting each other and her as well It was very sad She had to have medical treatment at the ER Her Fur Babies could no longer Hug and PETT them like she did She put both of them in TRAINING and she even had to learn how to play with her DOGS without having both DOGS with her at the same time LESTER you didn’t bottle feed CHUCK you also know how DANGEROUS animals can be at any GIVEN TIME Justin had raised CHUCK from a calf Bless his heart And he never thought that CHUCK would hurt him that bad So thankful it wasn’t worse outcome on Justin then it was. Just like the time Carl first attacked you You were very lucky that you didn’t get hurt in that tumble Animal can change it anytime And you Lester has to be able to work inside the fence and with the animals so you have to be unguard at all times hopefully other people will understand And you you got your guard up because you seen what Chuck done to Justin and you’re still willing to give Chuck a forever home and I’m thankful for that You and Jami are hard working loving and taking care of a LOT of ANIMALS

I have been watching on replay. As to your last question, about how we feel about you Lester, showing Chuck the way it will be. I just think you showed your vast knowledge of cattle compared to Justin and Jeff. We know you play the fool a lot, but you also know stuff about ranching. You were raised with it and have been actively involved with cattle for years. You really impressed me when you washed one of the horses man parts while inside the pouch. You showed your teacher side.
Chuck will learn there is a time and place for love. He's so gorgeous! I know you would love to be able to hug on him! Just needs boundaries, and Chuck's going to catch on to the program quickly. He's smart. His followers are right about that. Take good care. ❤🤗 to you and yours.

We were city slickers when we bought our farm, many years ago and learned so much from our neighbors. They always warned us from day one… NEVER ever lay hands on a bull. Heck, you can see how Ruby and Danni who were bottle fed run up on you and want to play. They were handled as babies and they do not know their own strength as they get larger. They want to play and it can end up being very dangerous. I love that Roman is the HIGH HORSE in that pasture. I would hate to see Roman get hurt by Chuck. You are doing a great job of educating those who do not know anything about these massive animals. You are not being mean… YOU are the alpha on your ranch and always should be. You are a very loving human being when it comes to your animals but you KNOW their body language and are able to do whatever it takes for them to live out their best lives. Not that it matters but my three favorite animals of yours are ANNIE, Dinkie AND now Roman. (In that order.) I have followed you since that video of you crying as you came down your driveway after Harvey.

Those alfalfa forage treats are what Justin fed Chuck and he loved them, so he prob. left the treats. Since Chuck's used to it and gonna be a steer anyway, will it hurt to hand feed him some treats? I loved when Chuck first got close to Rita how Roman put himself in the middle as if he was protecting her. LOL What a good boy he is!

We all love animals here, I didn't know Uno that well but with the video I saw of him and knowing what happened made me cry. Chuck will probably not get hands on love till he becomes a steer, but I think he's magnificent and very handsome, I'm glad he's alive and if he's not already loved, he will be. We have learned from Lester, you respect and love bulls, just not put hands on them.

Chuck always had a Hotwire on the fence, they wanted to make sure he didn’t bump out of the gate. They wanted to make sure everyone and animal was safe.
