Enjoying your videos. The wife is looking online at out of state properties daily and has multiple properties on her watch list. I am excited to see what we wind up buying and what livestock the property will support. My favorite properties are all just 100,000 over my budget. Dang.

Coming in from Weeki Wachee, FL! ❤️ Your channel AND PETE and HILLARY!!! Look forward to watch both channels, along with Working Horses with Jim and Brenda!!! ❤️
I've lived in Chicago and it's suburbs most of my life and never thought to stop for a funeral - unless it's at an intersection. Sadly I've been on the other side of those processions as well and never expected folks to stop for me either.
Hi! Glad to see ya! Yes! We stop for funerals in our small towns...gentlemen stop, step out and remove their hats until all have gone by. Love ur new calves...good look 'uns! When grass is so good there, would it b too much to keep more young ones and rotational graze all of them? Might b too much meat to process and off load...? That's some nice merch! Thanks for sharing! B blessed!
Depends on the road, but we do stop for funerals. In town, we'll stop. Fast, county highway with poor shoulder; best to keep moving or someone will come up behind you and give the funeral home another customer or two.
We are in Decatur and Cullman al. We stop for funerals and ambulance, and fire trucks as well. Some pass by, we just think respect for these things are respectful. We own Thomas Angus farms, and Thomas Valley Farms in Cullman, Al. We are a small farm, and love our reg. Angus beef, and raise a few pure bred for beef as well. Thanks for the videos, and all you do for our farming communities!!!
My man 😂 I walked in on the part where you said there blacks I liked to fainted then I realized you was describing the cows and I said I have to subscribe after that if you seen me you'd understand 🤣🤣🤣‼️❤️ I like the red ones to brother
Angers me to no end whenever people don't stop. Yet another reason i moved to the country. I'm not sure where people get the notion that ranching is hard? Its really not if you manage it correctly. Im new to the channel so look forward to seeing morevof yall! Thanks!
between you and Sandra and the dogs, I would suggest you take those older heifers and consider puttindg at least ONE in your freezer for the homestead. Angus and Angus cross develop differently when they aren't exposed to a lot of stresses. You will likely find that jerking that beef is actually creating a superior product because they are pretty good eating and the hangers are to die for. Just an observation after 50 years of bovine management.
Here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland we still stop for funeral processions; however, over on the Western shore around the metropolitan areas, they don’t. They will cut off and through the procession. You can’t even get a police escort any more over there. I am noticing with the younger generations, that practice is quickly dying off. Sad, but true.
Why do you like the red cows more than the black ones? Do they grow out faster? Just wondering. How long does it take to grow out the ones you just bought?
They are more heat tolerant. On a hot day the black cows will be under the shed and the red ones will be grazing. They seem to do a little better in the summer time. Good question!
Here in Scott County, TN we do stop for funeral processions. My observation is that people in large cities don’t practice this show of respect. I’m not sure why they don’t. Tim
The Boise, Idaho area does get a slight majority of folks to stop for funerals. However, I have never seen anyone in Washington, Oregon nor California stop for funerals. I do not have experience with other states. Here, out West, we see people trying to pass funeral processions all the time. You may have heard of the golfer who stopped on the fairway as a funeral procession slowly filed by, removed his hat and stood in respect till they were gone. His buddy said, "Frankly, Bill, I did not know you had such respect for those who have passed on. Why so respectful today?" He responded, "Well, I spent the best 42 years of my life with that woman." You are doing what Joel Salatin does by buying animals not born on the place to grow up and finish off. He does the same thing with pigs by not having any gilts nor sows on the property. This seems to make the most sense of the pastures and capital investments.
I just shake my head when I see people not stopping for a funeral or an ambulance or the fire department. We need to give respect for those who have passed and those who lives are in danger. One day it could be your love one
We used to pull over for funeral services but you know when you bring it up I haven't seen one in years I don't even know if they have them here anymore they don't drive around in cars I don't think I think they just meet at a church that's about it
Maybe Your new heffers like to play with a ball, just to have some fun + exercise . In a different video I saw a cow playing with a robust ball nearly 3foot diameter.
My place is along the procession route for our National cemetery. I see a lot of processions, and I always pause whatever chores I’m working while they pass. I can usually hear them coming because we have a large group of freedom riders that often escort the Veteran to the cemetery. A few vehicles stop, but the majority don’t. IMO if it’s safe to do so you should STOP.
WOW, that was SO touched by your respectfullness for those who've returned to our savior and for those who are still here listening to our own way to him..GOD BLESS

Home farming is much more humane than corporate cattle business. obviously you have never lived on a farm. We love the animals and it is just part of life. We take care of them and then they take care of us.
@@patriciakeever7227 The cattle industry is both cruel and unnecessary, with no justification to support its existence You take care of them only to murder them, and their lives are far from what is intended. How you can even live with yourself knowing that these poor animals are raised just to be killed is beyond me. What a lovely thing to do, stopping for a funeral procession! I live in the land of skinny jeans between Baltimore and Wash DC, we're LUCKY if these immigrants STOP FOR THE POLICE OR AMBULANCES OR FIRE TRUCKS! They can cause accidents by NOT PULLING OVER TO ALLOW EMGENCY VEHICLES TO PASS, which would allow me to take their lane to open up for flashing lights to fly by us. I never know where to go, so I JUST STOP where I am on the two-way highway, allowing emergency vehicles to find an open lane to pass by. Looks like need to MOVE SOUTH to the country where respect if paramount.
