Why not! It's so easy :D
Step 1: have food satisfaction. Create a google doc with a dozen easy, fulfilling recipes and meals. (I once saw a comment, "going vegan is easy, just google 'how to make ___ vegan' and it's true!!)
You can start by this month just finding one meal/recipe to add to your routine. Then next month, add another and so on. A painless transition! :D
Read once on the Earth Day website that if all Americans went vegan one day a week it'd be the equivalent of removing 4 million (or was it 4.5 m?) cars off the road.
Step 2 (related to step 1): have fun with your food! Explore new tastes and recipes, I swear everyone who comes over for dinner is amazed at what we cook and never miss the animal products (and always want the recipes!). There are so many more textures and tastes than what most people are used to.
Step 3: emotionally bond with commonly abused animals! Even just once, volunteer at a sanctuary (or even visit). For me, I had pet chickens growing up, and I want every chicken to have a life like ours had instead of ...y'know.
Speaking of which - Step 4: if necessary, educate yourself about what happens on most farms and in all slaughterhouses. Earthling Ed's a good place to start.
Step 5: find a support network if needed. This is helpful for anything we do in life. There are many many support groups out there (including with nutritional support) to help people make a kinder transition.
Decisions we make in our diet have very real effects on deforestation, carbon (and methane) emissions, to say nothing of the suffering of sentient beings who - with the right family - will be as cuddly and loving as your most treasured pets. They're so completely in our power, and though it seems hopeless, I hope we can treat them all with kindness and respect one day.

Ollie is a male calf (young bull), not a cow. They made a big mistake referring to him as a cow. There are no male cows in real life. They’ve obviously been watching too much Barnyard: The Original Party Animals and/or Back at the Barnyard.

Animals are simply such a precious gift to humanity.
Human beings need to realize how extremely smart all different types of animals are. Ollie, very smart and intelligent, the pig, totally acts like a human, and is so smart with those buttons. I would honestly love to live in a house like that with all those different types of animals. I would have a good dose of therapy everyday! 🥰

Zero chance the other cows believe his story.
We've rescued some 50 farm animals over the years. We're in our 70s now and have only a cat, dog and alpaca. Plus all the wild folks who stop by for meals. Which is sadly all we can manage now. All of the stories were touching, but the horses really touched my heart. I’ve love horses my entire life, and all I wanted was to be able to groom them, ride them, and of course love them!

I really think that animal rescuers are a different breed of human. They have evolved to the highest form of human species - almost angelic, so extraordinarily amazing.

I grew up ranching. Calves can be the sweetest critters imaginable.
Especially one's that are born in very early spring when ranchers are still haying( feeding supplementary) cows.
This brings back great memories.

The horses and Huxley were bitter sweet but thankfully had a sweet, loving & happy ending. Those horses made me cry b/c they gave their entire life serving humans only to be slaughtered after they're no longer useful at their retirement stage of life. But I'm so thankful & immensely grateful to the rescuers for their love, devotion, dedication & hard working efforts to saving those animals' lives b/c those beautiful animals deserve the gratitude, love & respect for the services they gave to those humans. ❤❤❤
