    Margaret/ Sewing Machine Warehouse Australia you have the best demonstration of what this machine can do. This is a true demo, not just throwing a hunk a fabric and say it can serge threw a bunch of layers, you actually demonstrated in the same manner the customer will be using the machine. Thank you!!! I purchased the MO-2000QVP BJ

    Sorry for the comment below, it was TH-cam running some other video in the background, I finally had to close my browser and start all over again to get that to stop! Now my connection is being throttled down, so I'll have to come back another time to watch your video on this amazing looking serger.

    😊I have just purchased the machine my first Overlocker and a bit overwhelming to begin with After watching a few videos I think this has been the best one with clear instructions that are easy to follow I think it’s my tension that’s been the issue I will persevere and 🤞one day my stitching will be as neat as yours Thankyou 🌹

    I have been sewing since I was a small child. I got a serger several years ago and I had so much trouble with it I didn't use it much. Last year of bought the MO-1000. It is wonderful and the Company is great. I haven't had any problems except the power cord was faulty and all I had to do is call and they sent another.

    Great thank you so much, Ive been struggling with the rolled hem. Now I'm going to try it out again and hopefully it'll work a treat. A bit about the differential feed would have been helpful. My 30 year old serger didn't have many features so I'm on a huge learning curve but loving it

    Dose this serger the coverstitch? I would like a tutorial please!

    • @carolynrogers1510
      @carolynrogers1510 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it’s overlock only. A combo overlock and coverstitch is usually described as coverlock. Personally I prefer having two seperate machines that each do one thing perfectly. Juki do a combo mo735, or the coverstitch is the 1500.

    Hi, I'm all mixed up with the overcast overlock stitches on my sewing machine. Some closed or open, the same described as closed for a trademark is opened for another. To what refer closed...I don't know which one I should use

    • @carolynrogers1510
      @carolynrogers1510 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try each out on your fabric, stretch stitches on a sewing machine only look like an overlocker stitch and have stretch because the needle is moving forwards and backwards as it forms the stitch. An overlocker machine trims with blades as it makes the seam, a professional finish as per ready to wear from the store.

    Does Juki make one that sees with more than 4 threads?

    What is the difference in all purpose serger thread and one that says quilting serger thread? Are they interchangable for most serger projects? Thank you.

    • @marcchoi776
      @marcchoi776 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cathy Timbs Hi Cathy, you posted this question a year ago, but if you are still interested; they are mostly same. I am a fashion student, but very interested in quilting. What I found from quitting serger thread is that they are tend to be thinner than, say, all purpose thread/serger thread. I recommend you to use polyester thread. There are two popular kinds, one is generic Tex 20(referring to the size) poly or nylon thread(Poly is better with iron/heat) and guterman Mara 120 thread(they are polyester, thinner than Tex 20 but it is high quality German made, that is strong and smooth which is better for serger) I often get problem with Cotton thread. When I sew men's trouser, for high paying clients, I use silk thread. They are better as they are stronger, and has right amount of stretch(which is still close to none but little more than poly) and has absolutely amazing smooth surface for serger and straight stitch. Hope this helped:)
      Long story short, they are branded differently, mostly of same thread; I find from my experience that quilting serger threads are slightly thinner.

    If you had to pick an overlocker-serger, first for its performance (including the most beautiful and pro stitches), its easiness to use, its quality which one it would be? I love the quality of Pfaff but I find anything on the overlock 4.0. Do you know something about this model?

      babylock evolution...babylock was the first to ever use jet air threading..they sahred the patenant with juki, since the juki sewing manufacturing company makes the babylock sergers. the evolution and ovation sergers are a 8 thread serger that can use all 8 threads with no jamming nor mistakes..i own 2 evolutions and have absolutely NO regrets spending the money on them..epic sergers, simply epic..

    Have had no luck with tension adjustments. Exasperating. Have wasted so many hours trying to get settings tight. Have never got it right yet and I bought this machine over one year ago. Skips stitches. So far it is equipment that just sits unused. Resort to zigzag on my sewing machine to overlock seams. Babylock apparently make a self threading server. Might be a better option for anyone looking for overlocker.

      Helen, perhaps you should talk to the store you purchased from, they can help you with some info and tuition on getting it right for you. This video is on the merits of the Juki MO-1000. Not a platform for anything else. Thanks for watching though.
