    Greetings from the Isle of Wight, UK 👋. This is absolutely the best overview I’ve seen for this machine. I’ve been considering buying this model for a while and your video has made up my mind to get it. You have such a thorough but relaxed manner of presentation which made the whole thing as enjoyable as it was informative. Thank you !

    absolutely superb demonstration. I bought my Juki overlocker about 3 years ago and have lost my English instruction manual. Don't speak French well enough to read the foreign language manual.
    I have been unwell for about 2 years and looking forward to getting back into sewing but definitely need my serger. I have saved this video which I will no doubt watch again but it has given me a lot of confidence to get started. I don't know if I can buy or download a manual but if not I will be able to watch you and look at the diagrams in my French manual. Thank you very much for this.
    Take care and have a happy Easter, Maureen.

    Your videos are simply the best and I refer to them frequently. Thank you! I purchased my Juki MO-1000 shortly after it came on the market, and I absolutely love it. Taught myself how to use all the various feet with much success. However, suddenly the machine will not make a chain, not making any stitches at all. I have cleaned it, put brand new needles in it, rethread from start to finish at least five times-nothing works. It is, however, running smoothly and quietly. Gary, what could be wrong?

I do a good amount of home decorating projects and believe it would save me time. I have been applying piping with my sewing machine then serge seams. Would piping foot allow me to do in one step? Amazing video. I never would have figured out many things about my Juki without it. However, I disagree that the instruction manual is clear, and I am really upset that I made a rookie mistake of pinning my fabric the way I would with a sewing machine and it broke the knife. I recommend the video, not the machine.

    • @1965GDW
      @1965GDW 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Pat, thanks for the vote of confidence in the video. Instruction books don't gel for everyone - if they did I wouldn't be making videos I guess. Don't be too hard on yourself for running over a pin, it's an easy mistake to make. Enjoy the machine however as it is an excellent high quality overlocker and definitely easier to use than most.

    • @EchidnaClub
      @EchidnaClub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The numbers can be a little confusing. They do aim to represent the distance in mm from the cutting edge to the left or right needle - hence the varying numbers. My advice is to start at 3.5 setting and adjust as per the user manual.

      Hi Margaret - there are markings on the needle plate with seam allowance, but I tend to use the foot as my guide. I would suggest doing some test stitching and then measuring so you become familiar with the width of the overlock. Then you will have a a good understanding once you start creating!
