Hi there. I bought the Aurora Green Soundcore Motion X600 yesterday afternoon on the strength of your review and it arrived early this morning (thanks Amazon). It’s absolutely amazing! Significantly louder than my Apple HomePod and even has better sound. I’m not sure how that’s even possible given that the HomePod needs a power cord. The Spatial Audio (which I am nuts about anyway) is awesome - it’s like going from mono to stereo in the olden days. The aesthetic and build quality of both the speaker and packaging are Apple-level. I highly recommend the X600. Keep up the great reviews and thanks again!
I’ve had my X600 for about a week and it sounds great. I love that the app allows you to customize EQ settings and save them. I’ve also learned that if you hit the full band EQ button and turn your phone to widescreen, you can get more precise with the EQ. I’m still waiting for the speakers to break in, but it sounds fantastic anyway. The audio demo doesn’t do it justice, the spatial audio is really sweet.
I though i was imagining things in regards to break in. I bought a pair of beats headphones over the holidays and it took about a week and they had a very noticeable improvement in sound quality...
Excellent review !!! Sounds like manufacturers are rebranding the older "WIDE" function with "SPATIAL" . The Stereo "WIDE" function of 80s-90s boom boxes & receivers had in principal increased the perceived width of the music by adjusting certain frequency bands typically the mid-range to give this effect nice to see it coming back!
Solid review. Have ordered and await with great anticipation. The coupon code deal was worth the wait and combined awards points benefits via credit card allowed me to purchase this for close to the hundred dollar mark, and that my friend makes it one hell of a deal.
This will sit and play nicely together with my 4 x Monitor Audio S150's. The supported Codex made me choose this over the Bose Revolve 2+. Sorry Bose. Like you say, this can be moved from room to room easily. A great review by the way, Thankyou.
If this thing moves volume in sales, I wouldn't be surprised if Sonos also ventures into the battery powered "spatial audio" market as well. Though, I don't know if they'll go higher or lower in price point than the Move. though I do think they'll tout it as a 'move around the home' speaker more than a 'take on a hike' speaker.
I picked one up in the CLEARANCE aisle at Costco this week for $99 Cdn., about $0.40 US, and I love it. I'm by no means an audio snob, but the sound quality, volume and depth is noticeably better than my old 30W Soundcore Motion+. My only complaint is the LED lights all across the top of the speaker, I wish there was a way to dim them, or have them turn off after a few seconds. Also, my old Soundcore Motion+ has amazing battery life, 90% of the time it's on 50% volume, but I expect to be charging the X600 more frequently. edit: just found some 'LED Light Dimming Stickers' on Amazon 👍
Honestly, the spatial audio test didn't come across as impressive or that noticeable in your video but I'm sure an in-person demo would be a different experience. Sounds like if they get better midrange clarity in a future version of the product, they'd really have a game-changer.
I think the speaker is pretty good for a portable speaker. I think for the price, it’s great and the sound quality for me is perfect. I’m not a fan of JBL products because they seem to always break down after time. But I haven’t had any issues with SC products, plus I love that I can carry it anywhere. It’s a win/win for me.
All that Techno comes off sounding nerve scraping sharp and tinny. Guess I’m spoiled by my old, vintage, beautiful, Bose 501’s that never fail to bring down the Angels! But great job.
@@The1995camaro it’s not Dolby Atmos capable though, it’s trying to simulate surround with a stereo file. A portable HomePod would be better than this in many ways.
Does this pair with ease with a turntable? And how is it with classical music? Or Jazz? something that isn't in 4/4 time and a drum beat, but involves violins or piano or saxaphone.
Anyone feels that the bass is lacking when you increase lolume even a bit? But apart from that...when i got it - could not stop listening to it - sound quality is something else, it is so clean, pronounced and overall amazingly open
Hi there! Thanks for the great review. For the same price or around the same price would a soundbar offer better quality and more immersive audio or would the X600 be better? I am at a loss so any feedback/ comments would be greatly appreciated.
From the over 30 speakers I tested the x600 was the only one I actually didn't like at all. Narrow sound and not a very pleasant listening experience even with the spatial sound turned on.

Hi there, it’s a great speaker for the money and you will struggle to get the same performance at its price. The HomePod or Sonos Era 300 are better speaker but cost 3-4 times as much so I think context is key. Hope you enjoy your speaker :-)
@@therealtech833 my opinion was different. I returned it the following day. Big regret selling the marshall Kilburn 2. I have an unusual question: i need a backup Bluetooth speaker to play in a courtroom to play audio evidence in case the court audio system is not working/connecting properly. So imagine a large room with high ceilings and I'm 20 feet from the judge and need to play audio of, well, violence. I need the lows, bass to come through to accurately represent doors slamming hard, holes being punched in walls versus it sounding like dropping a cookie sheet on the floor. Can this do that, given those outlined needs? Only question i care about for my niche use case. Thank you
It does go very loud, and has the clarity to hear every detail. If the large courtroom was quiet, and didn't have much backround noise, it will easily be heard around the Courtroom, if placed correctly. Can also pair 2 of these together for one at each end of the courtroom was very large. They are 50W each.
Thank you! Yes, we use a combination of Philips Hue lights, Govee light stands and a NanLite light tube to create our different coloured lighting setups 😀
No, DB atmos nor DTS X could drive out from bluetooth sources. The one and only to do so is using HDMI connection, if your connection source is from TV, you should using HDMI eARC for real lossless audio format of DB Atmos and DTS X.
Spatial audio is good for electronic music but what about true stereo tracks with instrument separation, I have a HomePod and sound is ok but not wireless , this is tempting

Hifi was a big reason why I decided to buy this. I should've waited a bit longer before deciding to buy.

I must say it's a big disappointment for the £119 discounted price, for a full price £199 would be even more tragic as it's worse than a Marshall Kilburn with only 36W. Giving this only 1 star unfortunately, it's a really big disappointment.
I have no idea why anyone wants "premium" materials for phones or speakers. You want glass that breaks and metal that dents so we can spend a lot more money for the box the speakers are bolted to? That makes no sense. If I drop a phone or speaker, I don't wnat it to break or look like crap, so make it out of plastic please. I'd rather my money go towards the parts of the speaker that makes it sound good. Put my money in the speakers and the drivers, in the electronics, and just bolt it all to a plastic frame.
