Thank you for the review. I have 2 pairs of Soundcore by Ander headphones and I love their sound. I have wanted to get a portable speaker and now that Soundcore are in the game I might get one of these.
I have a soundcore Bluetooth and ear buds and they are the best for the money. . I design and build my own speakers and spend some money on gear but for a Bluetooth for work or the beach they are definitely the best bang for the buck
Just ordered one off the back of this review... I'm sick of listening to horrible phone speaker sound when I'm teaching. Myself and my singing/piano students will thank you!
Nice video, appreciated as I am an audiophile but wanted a portable version.. The B&W A7 sounds far better but at much higher price and not portable.. The X600 is te only choice currently for portable battery audio... IMO.. I have a minirig setup that sounds better but it is multi parts, 2 drivers, 2 subs.. sound amazing but for a single box, easy portable VS a complicated 4 part system, meaning 2 subs, 2 drivers... The x600 is very close to sound quaity of a much more complex setup.. Makes sense to save the money and just stay simple with outstanding sound quality...
Nice to see a portable speaker review, as a bboy (breakdance) and audio entusiast is good to see this content. There are some other cheaper options with good sound and value, with their own strenghts. It would be interesting to see more of this content here 😄 It would be nice to have a volume level refference for the frequency response measurements though, hopefully under 80% ,over that (or sometimes even at lower volume %), most bluetooth portable speakers start dropping off the bass and sometimes also do weird things with the mids and highs, DSP does something like that even in airpods for what i have read.
Hello folks Just my gut feeling. A few other brand set the volume limit before the sound starts to go downhill cheezzee. This way no one can say it sounds bad. Quote Bruce Lee. Protect Yourself at all times. Your Name. Hall of fame not hall of shame. Ride Easy
Bro you giving out all the flaws of other ''gimmicky'' items, shows exactly that you're making the right points about what makes this one speaker good. Thanks for the review I bought the x600 and I really like it. I definitely recommend tweaking the EQ you can definitely make it sound better, more suited to your own taste.
I purchased this speaker yesterday after watching your review. It arrived this morning and the setup was insanely quick and easy. I've been listening to it at low volume to break it in and I'm impressed by the crystal clear sound it produces. I also have numerous other top tier speakers and my favorite is the Charge 5 which I will be comparing it to. Your video was spot on in your assessment of this speaker. I love toys and this is another great one to add to my collection. I always look forward to your videos and you do not disappoint. Well done.
I am running two JBL Charge 5's set in stereo using the app WITH the special location-EQ mode turned on. I'm pretty impressed given how small and durable they are. Can anyone who has two JBL's AND the X600 comment on the sound differences?
Aside from the indestructible tank like build of this puppy, I am no nearly as impressed with the sound coming out of mine as 99% of the people who have reviewed it here on *TH-cam* seemingly are. So much so, that if I could make the money I initially spent on it back, I would do so in a heart beat.
Thanks for your review of this product. As a bit of an update to your review, as one of a few options I have heard of, you can now purchase quite cheaply a program for your PC (and Mac I believe) software that allows you to take advantage of the LDAC codec, that was previously only available to Android users. It works great and anyone who owns this speaker (or any other device that takes advantage of LDAC) would be mad not to take advantage of this option which will let you expand the ways in which you can use this great speaker in the way it was intended.
Jay, I received the X600 from Amazon today and am very disappointed in the shrill brightness of this speaker. My ears hurt and I had to turn it off. I really wanted to like it, but the bass was also underwhelming. I played with the EQ, but it was still too bright for me. Would playing it over a few days tone down the brightness - like breaking it in?
I bought two Bose Soundlink Revolve II speakers. I watched another video comparing that speaker to this one…I ordered two of these immediately. One pair goes back…we will see. I will say that I LOVE the built in EQ feature in the app. Love the USBC option to charge it with as well. I also like knowing it is ranked #1. And by the way…I paid $149 on Amazon for each of the two units…nice savings there!
Thanks Jay. Good enough for me. They're currently offering 10% off for taking a newsletter subscription. Took advantage of that. Shower podcasts are going next level.
I'd like to compare it to what I consider one of the best Bluetooth speakers out there, the TDK Trek Max A34. It doesn't have the spacial feature, but it sounds incredible for a blue tooth speaker,. especially the bass. It's also built like a brick sh*t house, and water resistant.
Nice review one question, can you still use it while charging? Im planning to get one and want to try a different brand coming from a marshall stockwell 2 which died on me just recently after almost 5 years of use. Hope it competes well with stockwell 2 and build aswell. Thanks and more power bro!
I would never ever i thought would hear soundcore & audiophile in the same exact sentence I've bought one after seeing this! Im used to paying £1,000+ for my audio equipment, so this is a shock to my system
priced at $290 (CAD), this speaker falls short in terms of audio quality. despite initially sounding good at lower volumes, the overall experience diminishes beyond 50%, with noticeable deterioration in mids and bass, basically an ear piercing sound profile. additionally, the spatial audio feature, while enhancing the sound, sacrifices bass and audio separation, making it seem more like a gimmick. considering the current price, it may not be the best value (unless priced at $150 CAD); opting for a pair of Motion+ speakers would likely provide a superior overall sound experience.
Thank you for the review. Sorry if I missed this, but did you try using them as a stereo pair? Meaning pairing two of them together? Would you recommend such a set up and is it worth it?
A few extra benefits of Soundcore products are an amazing warranty, and crazy good battery performance. Soundcore has replaced a few of my products well after the one year mark, at absolutely no cost to me. I love their Liberty Pro3 headphones, partially because the noise-cancelling is amazing, but the app also creates a custom EQ based on a hearing test it performs on you. Their parent company being Anker, the batteries in all their products last way longer than they should.
Crystal clear high end (to the point I'm hearing things in my music I've never heard before) which is awesome for Jazz, but pretty poor bass response (at low volumes) which makes listening to Hardcore (kickdrums) and dance a bit underwhelming imo.
Please reply someone if I invest my money on this speaker will it be worth it for a long time use, like for 5 years??? If anyone has it will it be worth it????😮😮😮
I was actually pretty disappointed with this speaker. Bass distorts at higher volumes, and sounds odd to me. Ive returned the speaker twice to make sure i didnt have a defective unit... They all sounded the same. The spacial audio trick is nice and at lower volumes this speaker is quite pleasant... But i just dont understand the hype.
What kinda music you music to? Hard rock when they scream every lyric? This speaker doesn't really distort much at high volumes listening to r&b and rap
Can you pair with other anker speakers? I have 2x Flare 2’s that I currently use and was going to buy the Anker Motion Boom Plus to pair with the Flares, unless this works with it
You won't be regret by taking the Soundcore Motion X600. Especially the wider sound stage and the brightness of mid and high frequency. Also you can save your penny much.
I've always avoided Sonos as they still sound cheap to me, and I have even preferred less expensive speakers to them. This is perfect timing as the portable market was getting less attention and only a few brands involved.
I can’t know for sure why they decided to pull right after I asked to test the product first to see if it is something I would like to cover but it is kinda sketchy
Im on the quest for the best sound quality speaker. I had a bose but the battery died making it not work at all, even plugged in. I had a jbl flip 5 and a jbl extreme 3 but its loud but doesn't really sound that great to me

Thank you for the review. I have 2 pairs of Soundcore by Ander headphones and I love their sound. I have wanted to get a portable speaker and now that Soundcore are in the game I might get one of these.
I bought 2. Paired, they are off the charts amazing.
So can you have 2, one playng the left channel and the other one the right one?
bought 2 as well. is it that much better than just one?
Got this on amazon day for 150 dollars and got blew away by the sound quality. The sound is so crisp and clear.
I have a soundcore Bluetooth and ear buds and they are the best for the money. . I design and build my own speakers and spend some money on gear but for a Bluetooth for work or the beach they are definitely the best bang for the buck

Android vs iphone bluetooth sound differences?? Needed android for the download setup??
The disadvantages of Apple gadgets including iphone, they never compatible with LDAC codec, because they are always being exclusive with their own bluetooth codecs. One of the Soundcore advantage and sound quality if you connect it to bluetooth sources via LDAC codec.
awesome review
Not sure but is there a
Sound quality issue/difference when using Bluetooth from an iPhone?
The LDAC is only limited to android. With iphone, you still get bluetooth connectivity but not the LDAC that they advertise
But what no one tells you is with Ldac (which is not truest lossless) you have to keep your phone within 18inches of the speaker and the closer the better, but a 2m aux lead and a lightning adaptor you’ll get better sound at more range
