That’s really cool! I’ve never seen how those actually work so thanks for taking the time to show us! Hope you guys didn’t freeze today it was 10 here!
It’s a neat system have more jobs coming up will try to get some better video of stacking the walls. Yes it was cold 5ish all day with negative windshield good shop day.
The string works good if nothing else it’s just a good way to double check the wall thanks for watching if you know any tricks i don’t plz share need all the help I can get 😂
@dirt Perfect We're about to do out first Icf Nudura pour.. What size aggregate do you use, what slump for the concrete and how tall of lifts per pass?
i am in south africa, and i want to build a double storey house with ICF SHEET, but am not getting this small plastics you put inside the blocks, so can i use a brick-force instead?
Can you put the braces on the outside of the house and push in? I want to put ICF over a slab as we are in a non freeze area. I enjoy your channel, you make it look easy.
I’ve seen icf’s used in a few basement jobs but never for the house. Is that common in your area. Would make for a simple construction and efficient home I would think 🤔. Another great video sir. Thanks.
It’s about the only way we build lot better structure and not much more money. You get some time check out our website lot more pics and information there www.simonandharris.com/
Have you considered using a digital level for the final plumb test or do you feel the string and tape is better? Only asking because I have a digital level that I use for tinkering in my garage.
Not sure how I missed this video. I remember watching the one of you digging the hole for the foundation and hitting the rock but didn’t see any of the ICF pours. 🤷🏻♂️
Good Morning, In one of your videos you mentioned a supplier in Dayton Ohio. That is close to me, would you share the name of that dealer please? Have a good one !
Great video! @7:03 is the concrete pressure a little high or is that what I should expect to pour at? I understand they need two 90 degree bends in the pump truck hose and 3-4" outlet pipe to restrict the pump truck. Second questions. Does the drill type vibrator work better than the 8ft concrete vibrator (dildo)?
A contractor we know got to tare down an ICF house. The home owner did the 9' walls in one lift. Did not vibrate, and had solid lumber at the base of the window bucks. Home owner was saving money by doing it him self.
That is a pretty interesting system there. I'm old school and that looks like a klusterfuk to me LOL if it works for you that's cool looks very expensive, wasteful, and labor-intensive. I realize time and materials change these days sometimes old school is pretty good
Very nice kids. I have to smile when i see their little thumbs up.

Dirt Perfect that will be sweet! I was hoping to make it out there when Jason was there too. I could have checked out the job
Yup going to have to make the trip some time
I really like the string trick! I’m really impressed!

Well 2 questions how
Yes weld plates

i know Im kinda randomly asking but do anyone know a good website to stream newly released series online?
@Max Tobias lately I have been using flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Dante Asher yea, I have been watching on FlixZone for years myself =)

Can but sucks
Pour, more like blast.
I wish you were in Northern Wisconsin. It's next to impossible to find an ICF home builder.
That’s bummer

String is much more reliable no batteries who cares if it’s dropped in the mud are states raining and it’s cheep and does a great job
Dirt Perfect Thx all good points 👍
Is there gonna be any videos of the house being built?? I’d like to see the progress thanks.
One more video setting trusses
Not sure how I missed this video. I remember watching the one of you digging the hole for the foundation and hitting the rock but didn’t see any of the ICF pours. 🤷🏻♂️
Lol that’s a old one
Good Morning, In one of your videos you mentioned a supplier in Dayton Ohio. That is close to me, would you share the name of that dealer please? Have a good one !
Holdfast
Have you done a video of multi-story pour or one with really high walls?
This is the only one right now might have some more coming
Charlotte was thinking why do you have to disrespect my dad in front on me!
How doesn’t it look Jason? “Looks great without looking at it?
What’s the name of the truss plates?
Are ICFs ideal for hot and humid places such as San Antonio TX as well?
Yes
Great video! I suppose you don’t have to worry about the concrete freezing with ICF forms ?
You are correct freezing is not a worry!!! Thanks for the feedback and taking the time to watch!!!
Can you put a regular a/c unit in these types of homes? All I’ve seen are mini air units, just curious if a regular unit would freeze you out.
You bring up a good point it needs to be properly sized for the house very important
Coming along nicely how long to wait before you put trusses up 28days?
That video is all ready done stay tuned coming soon lol
@@DirtPerfect I may have ask it wrong do you need to wait 28days for the concrete to cure like in NZ before putting load on it.
Sorry no in this application we wait 72 hrs there are some scenario where we do wait. Longer hope that’s a better answer
@@DirtPerfect thanks
Hey Mike I was wondering if you finished the job at your grandmas house. I hope I didn't miss that video.
Posted yesterday

Dirt Perfect I’m hearing that lol 😂 bring it on in all its muddy glory!
You know that’s what comes after the freeze mud to the nuts 🥜😂😂
Dirt Perfect you got that right lol 😆

Will do a video if I am around foe that
How long did it take to do the job start to finish?
4 1/2 days

Lol. Not good sometimes it’s pays to have someone with experience!
What are you building a bomb shelter ?lol
Lol no just a home addition
Skimping on the concrete ??? LOL

@@DirtPerfect I'm sorry I just don't see it
Byronkb B. Exactly what is the waste you’re talking about?
