This wasn’t in the video, but there’s a button on the right hand side of the printer. When you push it lifts the bottle up to allow any remaining resin to drain into the vat before removal. Aside from that it’s somewhat similar to the Formlabs platform which I’ve used in the past. I’m a mechanical engineer, and They’re really nice printers that are meant for a corporate/professional setting. This isn’t my first resin printer. I own a Epax e-10. I bought the Ultracraft because it’s plug n play. I really have no desire to mess with settings. To me the printer is a tool, that I want to be able to very consistent prints from whether it’s a mini or a functional part for a design I’m working on. I’m going to buy the cure station, but the wash station is over engineered. I prefer to wash my parts in an ultrasonic cleaner with mean green or purple power. Blue print is only going to get better. They update it on a regular basis.
The truth here is very real. This machine is a tool. It isn't designed to print kid toys. You explained that very well. As for the button on the side, I literally never even saw that button until now. That's why I didn't mention it. That's amazing!!!
Did you know that blue print will tell you when to replace the nfep based on how many prints you’ve done. It also tells you how much resin you’ve used and how much is left. I did suggest to them that they allow the user to tweak the default resin profiles if needed. Heygeaes has been in business since 2015 they compete primarily the dental/prosthetics market. Much of what you see in the Ultracraft Reflex was adapted from the printer ecosystem they sell into that market segment.
@@Teddyboy-EM I did know those things. It's honestly amazing. I so wish I had the ability to explain more about blueprint and the features this printer has, but the only real way to do that is just simply make a bulleted list and that unfortunately does not work in video LOL. This printer is genuinely the most advanced machine that I have. I have not used the form labs to compare, but if I printed resin for my company I would be very happy with this one

To me it like a budget version of formlab printers
Yeah it 110% screams formlab vibes, but I don't even want to consider it a budget version. It's just different. Anyone buying this is already in formlabs territory. This just has different features done differently. It's an incredibly machine.
@@ThePrintHouse but then the question is why would i buy one of these over a formlabs? Formlabs are tried and tested and stable as a company, if this company folds after ive bought the printer i cant get replacement resins. Formlabs are plug and play so you can touch nothing and get good prints, yes youre locked to their resin but i also have the option to change settings and things if i need to along with a load more material options. As an Engineer and a Designer of professional 3D printers i don't see how you can call this the most advanced printer of 2024 if anything its the most lockdown inflexible printer of 2024. Also that resin loading design is awful!
@@cor7740 yeah I admit the resin loading design is terrible, I thought I mentioned that. After rewatching I'm shocked that somehow got cut from my final video. I think for printers to go into mass market and be in every single person's home in the world, we can't have users touching the settings, and trust me, I will miss the days when I can tinker with settings, but that's what we need for it to be marketable to EVERYONE. There is not a single other in home product that has literal trillions of setting combination permutations. It's just not wise. With that said, I haven't tested a formlabs printer, and I'm sure the experience is as good as this one, but I genuinely don't know if it could be better. That would be a tough ask.

@@WMBayouLures yeah I mean I'll go back on what I said previously. I suppose I like both. If I want to print something then I want it to work without error. If I want to play with a machine it's fun. I guess I have my different moods.
Shows some high level engineering for some parts, and then really dumb design for others. For the price they are asking, and being locked into their resin and losing control of settings, you would expect no stupid designs like the washer or resin bottle system.
So what I'm about to say is very left field for me, but if the printer is so refined I NEVER need to touch the setting, I'm perfectly fine with it, and so far it's been that way, but I have only tested a TINY subset of resin and I haven't yet done any major batch printing. For a small scale business that only needs 1 printer that just always works, I could see this being a valuable asset.
@@ThePrintHouse the main problem with not having control of the settings is that you can't use 3rd party resins unless they just happen by chance to work at the same exposure as one of their resins
hey gears use 385 nm wavelength and their prints cure in any other system just fine.
Where did you get this info from? They refused to tell me when I asked

@@matchugg547 I'm interested to see the tech sheet. I don't have it. I just checked 4 different bottles of resin. No label of 385 nm on there. I suppose it's possible that heygears has a new label on their bottles. I received mine in the mail about 60 or 75 days ago

This 3D printing concept just got next-level! Forget pushing plastic through a nozzle, what if we built objects from the inside out, layer by layer, with a two part container?
Imagine a two-part vat that spins while a fancy nozzle sprays a special resin, building the object layer by layer. But here's the twist: a UV light zaps each layer to harden it, and tiny magnets outside the vat can manipulate the resin for even crazier designs!
Think dissolvable layers hidden within the object, or even tiny components placed precisely using magnetic fields. This "Morphing Matrix" could be a game-changer, letting us print objects with hidden compartments or even self-assembling parts! #FuturePrinting #MindBlown

We already have those types of printers DMLS, EBM, SLS, or if you want unlimited multiple colours Binder jetting, also there are Polyjet printers which can print in full colour. DED and MJF also work similar.

@@ThePrintHouse He does, quite literally actually. Let me summarize the 2 sentenced comment: Using too many superlatives. Making a breathlessly positive review whilst only mentioning the negatives at the very end. --> He'd rather see you NOT do does things. In short: Be more objective with the information. On the other hand, look at the timestamp when people joined TH-cam, it shows you how "serious" a person is. This person joined in 2020 while he's clearly above 40 y/o. Which means he's probably just a troll. I wouldn't worry about his opinion much. Even though I agree with some of what he says.
I caution against dismissing this commentor’s feedback as a troll. I also agree, there’s a lot of superlative language. For example , when you describe each feature you add a few (unnecessary?) adjectives or flavor words.
When you explain there’s only 7 types of resin in the software you say they’re for “very very” different things. Perhaps you could have left those words out, since the implication of “only” is that there’s not a wide variety and you’ll need to select carefully from a limited set.
You mentioned that the software was clearly designed by professional developers. That doesn’t mean a whole lot; plenty of awful software comes out of studios and companies with highly skilled and trained engineers!
Another example is when you discussed the slicing algorithms. You claim that they’re revolutionary, stating they do advanced calculations, and then immediately say (twice!) to not ask you what that means or how it works because you’re not an expert on the subject. This introduces an odd tension for me; how am I meant to trust your endorsement when you flout your lack of understanding? As someone who takes an interest in slicing technology, it’s my understanding that most slicers do a similar peel strength calibration. I appreciate your excitement and candor but I spent the rest of the review wondering if the other key features are uniquely well executed or if your relative inexperience makes them appear that way.
Anyway, I write all this to give some feedback in good faith. Your content is engaging and your production is well executed! Hopefully this helps you dial in your scripts to minimize filler words and hedging and deliver a punchier final result. Just subscribed and I look forward to future videos.

I was thinking "hmm, shill?", then I got to 4:25, and I knew. Shiiiiiiiiiiill. I don't know how anyone could say with a straight face that PrusaSlicer wasn't developed by professionals. He clearly doesn't know anything about software development. Have a downboat.
Well I'll admit when I made that statement it wasn't really intended to be taken with 100% seriousness. Obviously professionals developed those other softwares, but to me it doesn't FEEL like it, that's really what I was trying to convey. I will say though, of all the hate comments or constructive criticism, I think yours is genuinely one of the most valid comments. I do agree that sentence could be worded differently, so I apologize!!! D:
