    🤣Can't take you seriously. Anyone who throws around words like “killer” is just a chatterbox anyway. PS: I only have an artillery sidewinder x1 and so I'm not a Bambu fanboy either.

    This printer is so far away from Bambu level, I'm not worried...

      The only thing I can definitively say is better with Bambu is the slicer. They're both prusa, so the same algorithms, but Bambu studio feels better. However, I'm not saying qidi slicer is bad....

    It seems like a nice enough machine. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the 1990 Gundam look.

    6:43 I, for one, appreciate the lack of a protruding door handle... I have a Voron 0, which I have to turn on it's front side way more often than I would like (to get to the electronics), and am always worried of breaking the door handle. Nice and flat door is best IMO and it's not like with the Q1 you need a screwdriver to open it ;)

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah you know I said I don't particularly like the door handle because it is hard to use, but it does work and it doesn't get in the way of anything so I suppose there might be value in that

  • @marty4286

    I think Qidi should keep making odd-looking printers. It should be their aesthetic signature. I have 3 Qidi machines and I'm definitely not stockholm syndromed

    "A bambu level product"... minus AMS. I'm really eager to see someone demo 3D chameleon or another MMU working with the Q1 to wipe out the last real differentiator I see between them.

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There is no stock ams option yet, but I'm sure a klipper alternative will exist and be better. Bambu ams functions well, but it is far from perfect.

    Bambu for good preconfigured printers, or Creality for modding community. Wouldn't buy something else. Currently installing linear rails on X to my k1 max. With mods it outperforms Bambu by far but it's money and work.

      One big differentiator between qidi and these other printers is the screen. the interface on the q1 pro works well, but it definitely doesn't feel as premium to use

    @NoMercyFtw 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I got mine yesterday and it is ******* spectacular yes spectacular I needed to use that word because it's the most flamboyant word to describe this printer at the price you pay, the spool holder is fine as long as you have it pushed up against a wall it doesn't wobble as much as people say is it flimsy yes but not as flimsy as having it out in the open plus it's a 3D printer print a replacement it's a lot stronger and sturdier not worth mentioning IMO.................

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Sadly where I have mine I cant put it up against a wall, but yeah I can likely print something to strengthen it.

    • @NoMercyFtw
      @NoMercyFtw 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ThePrintHouse yeah the need it make it TH-cam channel made a replacement spool holder called the monkey bars, but yeah you were definitely right about that door handle I was screaming at my screen at every review I watched saying it's the notch in the corner idiot lol thanks for pointing that out..............

    • @stew675
      @stew675 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ThePrintHouse How difficult would you think it would be to 3D Print a more solid version of the stock spool holder? I see over on the official Qidi wiki that they provide links to a number of spool holder alternatives that are stronger than the stock holder. While I agree that the stock holder should definitely be more sturdy, making a sturdier replacement seems like exactly the sort of job that a 3D printer would be perfect at punching out in a few hours and a couple of dollars of filament.

    Anything less than 300mm cubed is obsolete unless you're severely space-constrained. And if you have room for filament, etc, etc, a larger printer has such practicality that I'd never go with a smaller bed. When Bambu comes out with their rumored XL printer, it's going to really kill the market for these smaller printers.

    • @R3DPrints01
      @R3DPrints01 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I do agree with you, although in my opinion bambu beds are the perfect size. The xl will be amazing and is definitely going to kill the market.

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

      I dont think thats really the case. Probably 99/100 prints I make are significantly smaller than 300mm in any direction. In fact I rarely have a print that is greater than my 256mm3 x1c. Maybe I print vastly different models than most people though

    • @stephenmills5133
      @stephenmills5133 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      300mm2 is the minimum I require especially for larger helmets
      Also some of the prints I do I would love to go past what I'm restricted to with my bambu current max is 130% of a dragon would love to go 200% lol

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@stephenmills5133 Ahhhh helmets. Ok yeah I understand that. Helmets are one of the excepts for things I've printed that arent large enough on a standard printer.

    • @ReDsHorde
      @ReDsHorde 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      I used to think that too, but time proved that that's a dumb take. 99.9% of my prints over 5 years now would easily fit in 200mm cubed and for those that wouldn't dividing prints into pieces is braindead easy nowadays.
