I was always taught that if the fuse is blown, don’t just put another one in. Find the reason it blew in the first place and resolve that problem. The proper way is to put an ammeter where the fuse was and briefly test the current draw. If you did this instead of replacing the fuse, you would see either normal current draw, no current draw or excessive current draw. it is rare that you will see some but less than normal current draw. Based on this, you know where to look next.
Thanks. I changed the horn today. But the previous horn had a short of some kind and contributed to blowing the relay. So the horns and the relay had to be replaced. Cost me about $275.
@@z-man7883 they don't, as far as I know. When my horn broke and I realised there is no fuse, I just replaced both (high and low) and then everything was fine again.
@@Julian-um3gh Thanks. That's unfortunate though. The Bentley manual I purchased for the car wasn't clear on that and had me wasting time digging around and taking apart trim panels. Seem BMW has a bulletin out regarding this issue on the NHTSA website. Was hoping it'd be something inexpensive to fix, but apparently not.
You're a brave man uploading this 😂
I laughed so hard when that horn didn't work😂😂😂...This dude a savage.
@@lushanebrown7592on god lmao i was like wtf
I don't know about the solid horn relay number 51 on the lci e60s with the fuse number in the trunk. Does it just turn on the horn
What about rhd cars with the bonnet latch?
Thanks bro👍💪
No probs bro 🔥👊
wow how many fuse boxes does the 535 have 😀
Not enough 😆

The reason was that the horn needed to be replaced. Watch my other video.
Have the same issue now. But fuse is good. No power or ground on driver side horn...maybe electrical?
@@WYO73 if you are 100% sure that the fuse is good, then you can change the horn. You can see in my other video how to change it.

@@WYO73 no probs, u have to be happy that everything else is good. I had to change the tcb for over 1500$
I have missing fuse there ... Apparently for 2016+ it's different. Any idea where it is?
The LCI models don't use fuses apparently. If the horn breaks you have to replace the horn is what I read.
*don't use a horn fuse is what I meant
Wow really that sucks. Mine doesn have a fuse and trying to find if it has a horn relay.

Which One?
@@xitbce i got it thank u
@@Zzombie_666 No problemas :)
What if the fuse is clicking when pressing the horn?
fuses dont click. Relays click. A clicking relay but no horn means the horn is bad or its not getting power from the relay. or not grounded.
Hello, Did you find a solution?
