Would love suggestions. In order to get all the Lets Bake kit I had to order pieces of fabric from all over the US. Hi Julie, You could test the pinking shears, but they probably won't work as well on the smaller pieces with more complicated shapes. Lori has been perfecting this technique for a long time, and it may be best to stick with her method for the best results. Thanks for asking.
I just wish all your templates were precut for us. I am seeing some templates on one sheet making us cut them out. They never come out the same As buying them precut. Plus, we are charged the same fee for them.

I have to remake my crow. There was no reminder I could find anywhere in the video or on the blog to remember that a yellow strip needs to be attached to the dark grey rectangle to make his beak! Either that or he's going to get an applique beak.

Great question! If you tackled one block a week, like Lori did in her sew along, it should take about 12 weeks.

One thing I have to say is that the sew alongs are very well organised. Too bad buying on Etsy is not that secured unless I am targeted for fraud

Silly question, very new to appliqué, am I suppose to appliqué around just the outside of the pumpkin or also all around the inner piece?
You will applique around every piece of fabric. The applique stitching is what keeps them all in place.
Riley Blake Designs does the top layer of the pumpkin get appliquéd all the way to the block piece or just to the other pieces of pumpkin?
