I just purchased your Let’s Bake It template set. I purchased your binder too. Now I have 3 template sets. Prim, Vintage Farm Girl 2 and Let’s Bake it. Thank you for all your designs, notions etc. Everything is so pretty and colorful.
This quilt is just for me! I bought all my fabric and notions at FatQuarterShop and I set up a little space where I can work on this step-by-step with Lori and Riley Blake Designs video! I am excited. This is one happy quilt!
OK, I know this is an old video, but I found it while home sick. Already ordered the fabric kit (yes, I was able to find one online!), and can't wait for all the supplies to come and start this quilt. So excited for Lori Holt and her fantastic quilts- they and you are amazing!
Great Job Lori...enjoyed the tutorials...I can't imagine how hard talking in front of a camera is...but you are fabulous and I love love love your quilts and smart tips.
I love you two ladies! Lori, you know I am your biggest fan(hopefully not the scary type, haha) and Cindy, thank you for all the wonderful Riley Blake products! Someday my dreams will come true and I will be able to meet you both! You both bring happiness to the world!!
I will have to check the sew along guide- but Lori will specify on her weekly tutorials. Basically if the bias tape is used in any curves it has to be cut on the bias. I hope that helps.
I purchased the stencils years ago when visiting Barcelona. I am just now getting to it. I have been unable to locate the patterns from your blog to printout. Please help.
Help! Just starting; this Bee Happy Quilt but I cant find the blogposts in order. I can find an odd one or two, but I need to start at the beginning. This is the most challenging thing I have ever tried so I need all the help I can get! Thank you.
@@RileyBlakeDesigns Thank you so much but it looks like a no steam flat botton no holes travel type iron? I thought the Oliso have steam and a foot the raises the iron.
Diane Lockman that's a really old iron probably out of the fifties she says in the video that it's an old iron so scour your second hand stores to find one
Hi Gail, Lori only does one block on video so you can understand her technique. The rest of the block are on her blog with pictures and written instructions. Here's a link: beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/2017/08/bee-happy-sew-along-week-one.html
Easier to get tape and draw it through the tape maker at the same time. It then glues to the tube and all you do is remove the paper and iron it down. Lovely to get a free pattern to try it out on but it won't download, only the first page
Thank you for your feedback. There are so many ways to accomplish these techniques. Everyone has a favorite. This just happens to be Lori's. Yours sounds very efficient as well.
Lori needs to smile more always seems like she has a attitude, like she really doesn't like to do videos i don't watch her video's very much because of this.
Tina Denike She is not suited for videos, but then most artists are not. Their work requires them to be alone a lot and as an incredibly talented artist she is brilliantly suited for that lifestyle. But look what comes our of her thoughts and her heart, as I'm sure you do. That is all the entertainment one could ask for, truly. Her art work as a form of "communication" succeeds wonderfully, I'm sure all will agree.
As I see her, she comes across as having social anxiety, not like she has an attitude at all. The unbelievable rudeness of people would certainly not help anyone who has any sort of issues being in front of a camera. It irritates me to no end when faceless strangers decide to tell how others how they should behave or how they should come across, especially when those people, like Lori, are imparting their valuable wisdom to us.
Tina Denike ....you know what? Lori Holt is a very talented lady who is a generous person. She shares her projects and teaches us, shares her tips, at no charge. I’ve learned a lot from her. I’m sure reading comments like yours are hurtful for her. As Thumper’s mother says, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all!”
Not watching her videos because she doesn't smile, puts you on the losing end. Her tutorials are awesome, and I appreciate learning from her. She does smile when she's not busy instructing.

Since the bee happy sal was a year ago i hope i can work on it now... may have to buy a few things first
Since some of the strips are straight, do the cutting directions tell when to cut the stems on straight or bias? Great tute! So cute!
I will have to check the sew along guide- but Lori will specify on her weekly tutorials. Basically if the bias tape is used in any curves it has to be cut on the bias. I hope that helps.
Is the so along pattern guide still available? I went to the website but was not able to find it.

I am wondering what brand is the iron you're using. I reallylike it.
Hi Rhonda, It's an Oliso iron. You can find it online from many retailers. I think Joann also carries it in their stores. Thanks for asking.
