Such a great informative video. Just picked up a 2019 ram 2500, so i'm taking notes here. thank you!

Cant wait to see how the build turns out. But Im just stoked to see what kind of shenanigans you can get into- and more importantly out of with the Power Wagon.

Exciting times... Thanks for sharing the build. As far as the water tank goes... I know you said its not for drinking water, but I would still make sure all your fittings, hoses, etc. are all food grade, drinking water safe as there is no reason you shouldn't be able to use it for clean drinking water as well. The top should have an access hole big enough for you to be able to inspect the inside and reach in and clean the tank if needed. On the outlet to the pump I would place a check valve to make sure the hose/pipe always stays full of water and doesn't empty itself back into the tank. As a matter of fact, a nice heavy food grade brass check valve on the end of a pipe/hose dropped in from a fitting on the top of the tank down in would be one less fitting down low that could potentially leak out all the water in the tank. Standard brass fittings may have lead in them. The food grade ones have no lead. I would also tilt slightly the tank to the end that would have the outlet for the water to make sure all you water is able to be used and also that you can drain as much out as possible when you need to empty it. Can't wait to see the final build....

just looking at it, I'd cut it down the few inches that are above the tank just to give yourself more headroom once the bed is on top of your deck. I just prefer as much sleeping space as you can get so it doesn't feel claustrophobic.

I agree. We already cut it down 3 inches which should give us about 30" in the bed space for head room. This sleeping space will mostly be for Cohen to sleep in and us in a pinch so I don't want to focus too much on the headroom and sacrifice the other space we will need for gear and what not since the tent will be out primary sleeping space. Thanks for the input, Travis!

Instead of velcro - cut a bike tire - good quality rubber and long strips.

Did you ever consider using an air pressurized water system to eliminate the need for an electric pump?

We have 2 separate air pressurized tanks and both work great, I just wanted to try having a onboard pump to see how I liked the convenience of just flipping a switch. Although the pump is more convenient, it comes with more work and maintenance.

I got my power wagon in Jan and I’m looking at all these different overland set ups to get ideas for my own. Thanks for the response!

Why no spray in bedliner protect your paint just curious

I didn't want to spray it in until I decided what I ultimately want to do. This set will probably be changed and when I dial it in I'll get it sprayed and then reassemble everything.
