- How to change sparkplugs on zx10r 2011 up to 2015
This is a how to video for replacing your spark plugs on a Kawasaki Zx10R 2011 up to 2015. It is a basic maintenance procedure. However in this video you will see how to easily remove the spark plugs on both ends which are more difficult or tricky to take out.
I hope you find it useful.

Some more tips:
-Always cover carburetor intakes when working on your bike, you don't want anything getting in there-Nightmare!
-Always check spark plug gap, it'd be a waste of time to do the job only to tear the bike apart again and then having to guess what plug wasn't firing properly.
-Use spark plug anti-seize sparingly on new plugs to make the next removal easier. If you ever break a plug you'll know what I'm talking about. If you break a plug you'll have to remove ALL the bits of porcelain FIRST before taking out the plug or you might get pieces inside the cylinder-not good.
-They make ignition coil grease to keep water out and for easier removal of the next servicing.
-Never over tighten plugs because if you strip it you've got big problems. If you don't have a torque wrench you can rent one from most auto parts stores.
-An easy way to start the new plug without dropping it in the hole? cut a length of rubber hose that'll slip over the spark plug. Now you can feed the plug into the well and hand turn the hose until snug. Now send the socket into the well making sure the plug isn't cross threaded first before you tighten.
+Mr. Kitty Wonderful, thanks for the extra tips.
Wish I saw this a while ago. When rebuilding my Harley, a bolt got into the venturi in the carb and when I started it, it go sucked straight into the motor and embeded itself into the head.

Been there, I always plan for the worst now when working on any of my vehicles but somehow there's always something I overlook- ha ha.
how many miles did bike have before change of plugs? Did you have issues with performance ect?
+LUCKY13 ! Manual says to replace at 7500 miles, I have replaced them on 11200. Bikes runs smoother now. I did not have any noticeable issues with performance before.
Well made video.
Thanks bro cheers
how did you get out the air box, there is a lot of wire and conextion, could you explain me PL
+Dayron Menendez The best thing is to make a video showing that and I will do in the future. However there is not so much wiring and connection as you think so. Its the ecu wiring which is easy to take out and two extra sockets under the tank side. You also disconnect the fuel hoses and thats it.
What size is that spark plug soccet
Don’t remember man sorry. I’ve sold the bike.
