MBDTF was Kanye talking about what he dreamed his future would be, every album after was about what he actually ended up with. I think the latter is more interesting because its been so much grittier and complicated for Kanye, and most importantly its been real.

@@scutifr it’s good, but graduation’s first 6 tracks are all amazing, then it gets to Barry bonds, and drunk and hot girls, Then it picks up with flashing lights, everything i am, homecoming, the glory, big brother, And it just ends with good night, and bittersweet poetry if you count it. 2 out of the 15 tracks are considered bad.

@@johngerygooz3251 Perhaps not in a traditional sense, especially for the time it dropped, but that's part of the reason it had such an influence on the genre. With this album, Kanye open the door to a whole new sound for rappers and artists such as Drake, Travis Scott, Juice, Frank Ocean, Childish Gambino, J Cole and the list goes on and on.
Edit: I personally was getting sick of Gangster rap and Crunk rap which plagued the 2000s. Sure there were a lot of bangers but Graduation and 808s was refreshing at the time and changed the game.

Hey, for his old albums, and no one can disagree with me - TCD is 10 but like a really good 10 so strong 10, LR is literally my favourite album of all time and IS BETTER than TCD so the strongest 10 of all time
and graduation is a 9 because man you can't rate it lower because of drunk and hot girls that song is important and catchy. 808s and heartbreak is a decent to strong 8 and inspired so many great break up albums, the best of them of course being IGOR
Runaway gotta be one of the most overglazed songs of all time. I understand the lyrics and can appreciate them, but musically, the song just drags on for way too long with him moaning the melody into an xbox live mic. Like even without that whack ass outro, the song is pretty mid amongst his catalog.
Finally someone who agrees with me. I am not a big kanye fan to begin with, but I often see people praise runaway in particular, and I just don't get it. Lyrics are cool, but I hate the way kanye sounds in that song.
