I wonder if Anthony would update his rating for Starboy in 2023 if we asked him too considering that the album has proved to aged extremely well now that Die For You is one of the biggest songs of 2023 so far, Starboy is once again climbing the streaming charts, and Reminder, Stargirl Interlude, Party Monster among others have also risen in popularity in 2022-23 and have relentlessly gone viral on and off. IMO I think the album aged fantastically. Starboy and Die For You sound EXACTLY like the kind of pop we have been hearing in the 2020's so far, the whole disco synthpop aesthetic. (Which ironically was started with the help of After Hours in 2020)

In my Opinion, all of The Weeknd’s albums should be ranked between 6/10-9/10. He’s not made anything lower than a 6/10 in quality in his career (Starboy and maybe MDM around a 6) and I don’t think he’s quite released a “perfect” record yet either (HOB, EOS, Dawn FM all in or around the 9/10 mark imo). However.. he’s one of the very very few artists out there that definitely has the potential to make a 10/10 “perfect” album. He’s the greatest pop artist on the planet

I think he was right about the trilogy eps at that time but after the trilogy remaster of those eps and listening to the tracks more i do agree that echoes of silence is probably the best but house of balloons grew on me a lot since, though thursday is still pretty mediocre at best, he's wrong about kissland tho, that is my favourite album right next to after hours and dawn fm and it grows on you, it sounds cinematic and the whole aesthetic and theme behind it is very interesting

Why is his opinion any more valuable than yours, or mine, or Tom, Dick or Harry? I think music is one of the most subjective things in the world. As such, I think "critics" of music are frauds.
