@@CarlosGarcia-zd4bz lmao camp had multiple fucking BANGERS with witty wordplay and a good sound. The rawness portrays growth compared to his later work AND immaculate raw and un comparable sounds with songs like firefly, bonfire, heartbeat, backpackers, and kids. Its a 7.
This is coming from someone who is outside of the mainstream rap circles and genuinely has a hard time listening to a lot of rap. Most of Anthony’s favourite rap albums I really enjoy as a non rap fan, Kendrick is excellent, clipping. Are phenomenal, death grips and Danny Brown are stellar and so different to everything else, Kanye is on another level and Denzel is insane too. The only rapper I enjoy that Anthony doesn’t is Childish Gambino but that being said Camp is not a particularly good record. Anthony likes when things sound different, as a reviewer he listens to soooo much music that when a Danny Brown comes along then it really takes you by surprise. That’s how I see it anyway.
This a hella old video, but this honestly reinspired my passion for rap. I discovered big Krit through this and he made me get back in to hip hop. So thank you mr fluffy pants.

Aesop Rock insanely underrated in general aside from his pre None Shall Pass/Skelethon work. I'm still shocked that he reviews Aesop's albums given how few people actually talk about him. Aside from like 2 songs though, Impossible Kid is perfect.
I feel like ta13oo should be at least a 9. Every song was great and there was some even better ones like the title track, black balloons, Sumo, and vengeance.

I've been aware of the praises on 4EVA... but I haven't had the time to try it bc I didn't really know his crafts that much. When I've heard the clip of Big Bank (which is one of my faves on the album) though, I was finally interested... and I've been so frustrated for not digging into Big KRIT's stuff until now. Yeah, it’s not hip-hop, people put artists in the box of one genre a lot so even if they make something outside of that genre it gets wrongly put into that box. For example, Kanye with 808s, which is almost all singing, being called hip-hop.

This is coming from someone who is outside of the mainstream rap circles and genuinely has a hard time listening to a lot of rap. Most of Anthony’s favourite rap albums I really enjoy as a non rap fan, Kendrick is excellent, clipping. Are phenomenal, death grips and Danny Brown are stellar and so different to everything else, Kanye is on another level and Denzel is insane too. The only rapper I enjoy that Anthony doesn’t is Childish Gambino but that being said Camp is not a particularly good record. Anthony likes when things sound different, as a reviewer he listens to soooo much music that when a Danny Brown comes along then it really takes you by surprise.
That’s how I see it anyway.

@@ihychristian Well i don’t care for it, denzels high range vocals sounds so akward and flat to me over that very simular tone production, like it’s no contrast between the beat and the vocals so there’s almost no dynamic in the song. At least to me it’s esaily the worst song on the album

The Impossible Kid might be the most underrated hip-hop album of the 2010’s and Get Out of the Car is one of my favorite hip-hop songs of all time
Aesop Rock insanely underrated in general aside from his pre None Shall Pass/Skelethon work. I'm still shocked that he reviews Aesop's albums given how few people actually talk about him. Aside from like 2 songs though, Impossible Kid is perfect.

I've been aware of the praises on 4EVA... but I haven't had the time to try it bc I didn't really know his crafts that much. When I've heard the clip of Big Bank (which is one of my faves on the album) though, I was finally interested... and I've been so frustrated for not digging into Big KRIT's stuff until now. Such a great hiphop album. Thanks for this vid for making me try it. lol
