    As someone who tried this and it didn't work the first few tries, I'll give a few helpful tips. The recipie is great, here are just some things you have to keep in mind (which are obvious to Cooking tree as they are experienced).
    - Don't use an electric whisk for the filling, you want it to be smooth and dense, not airy and fluffy.
    - If you don't have a ballshaped-mould, use cling wrap and make your own.
    - Let your filling/balls freeze until solid. Not frozen, but solid. About 1 - 2 hours.
    - I have a manual mictowave with different temperatures and 500 watt worked the best. ( I did let it go for an extra 30 seconds.)
    - If you're using "real" white chocolate, melt two batches(one at a time). Because as they get mixed with some of the filling the chocolate becomes goopy and gross.
    - Let your mochi-dough chill in the fridge until it isn't hot to the touch. If it's a little warm/not cold wheb you take it out, that's ok, you can still chill it again but it'll get warm as you work it anyway.
    - The mochi part requires skill. It's tricky and that part can only be done well with practice.
    The end-result turns out amazing and very sweet, I recomend trying these out, they're well worth the effort! There mat just be some difficulties making it.
    (I made mine vegan, so I had to sub alot too which addrd another difficulty.) Good Luck!💫

    I made these, they're so good! I personally left out the white chocolate because I dont like it, but when wrapping the mochi around the filling, leave the filling in the freezer and take it out one at a time, wrap it, then put it back in the freezer, makes it so much easier

      For this recipe, temperatures are very important. I totally messed it up. The chocolate has to be cooled down before putting it on the frozen stuff. Otherwise the whole stuff melt and it's impossible to put it in the mochi. I spent a whole afternoon trying to make it. Very frustrating.

    where do you get cherry blossom syrup? Or how is it made?🌸

    • @mapleexecutive1693
      @mapleexecutive1693 5 ปีที่แล้ว +133

      Gukkie i think you can buy in specialty stores if not. Ifound this recipe online. Hope this helps
      Fill a jar full of cherry blossoms. The white one yield brown syrup, and the pink ones yield pink syrup. Both taste the same in the end.
      Clean the flowers...since my area has bad air pollution (esp. now since it is "yellow dust" season), I used 10 parts water and 1 part vinegar.
      Remove as much green parts are you can. They get bitter apparently.
      Put flowers back into a jar, pour hot (not too hot!) water on top (enough to cover the flowers), cap jar, and let sit for 24 hours.
      Next day, strain flowers from liquid. Keep the liquid (duh) and discard flowers. Unfortunately the flowers aren't pretty anymore to try to incorporate them into the syrup.
      From here, it is a 1:1 ratio to make a heavy syrup. So, 1 cup liquid, 1 cup sugar. Heat in a pot until the sugar is fully dissolved, and that is all!

    I’m trying this recipe today; hopefully it turn out good. I have to improvise with the rice flour, though, because I couldn’t find any, so I’m adding corn starch to see if it’s sticky

    • @s_p1644
      @s_p1644 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Corrina Madrigal So, it went alright. It took longer than expected, but that was my fault. I was only able to find rice flour, so I added corn starch in hopes to make it sticky -and it was, but it stuck to my hands more than it did to itself. It turned out pretty well. I didn't like how they tasted when they were done, but I put them in the freezer for a an hour and everyone liked them. I grew to like them, too.
      The weird thing is they looked almost exactly like in the video by Cooking Tree, but they tasted weird to me at first. They turned pretty good for my first try, though. Hopefully I improve for next time.
      You should try to make them, it's messy but fun -depends on the maker.

    핑크색 벚꽃만 예쁘다고 생각했는데 하얀 벚꽃도 막상 예쁘네요 딸기 모찌하면 그냥 통으로 든것만 생각나는데 조각조각 넣은것도 새롭네요 ㅋㅋ
