First time I saw them live was 1997 when I was a senior in high school. To this day it’s still the best concert I’ve ever been to. So much energy from the band and the fans. Ears rung all night long. Lol I’ll never forget it!
"Enter Sandman" live in Moscow will literally blow your mind ! Especially the number of people and the quality of the band. It's EPIC, guys, trust me 😉. The concert took place right after the fall of the Soviet communism....the atmosphere is electric !
Metallica - that's great!! Many thanks for reacting to this guys, I just love this band and Fade to Black live is phenomenal!! James Hetfield is the singer/guitarist, Kirk Hammett is the lead guitarist with the fantastic solos, Lars Ulrich is the drummer and Robert Trujillo is the bass player. Lars Ulrich started the band with James Hetfield back in (I think) 1981 and he loves Deep Purple and also Motorhead has been a big influence on him. It's interesting that in this performance James Hetfield is not playing the acoustic guitar at the beginning as he normally does! However it's brilliant anyway. I have loads of Metallica tracks downloaded and I would recommend The Day That Never Comes. It's similar in a way to Fade to Black as it starts off with melodic guitar at the beginning and then there are loads of transitions and great guitar solos. I think you would really love it. Other more heavy songs are Harvester of Sorrow, Sad but True, For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Four Horsemen, The Thing That Should Not Be and Dream No More. Also, I know you've reacted to Bob Seager's Turn the Page, but Metallica do a fantastic heavier version of this song and I have that downloaded. Matellica in Russia is insane! The energy of the band and group is unsurpassed. My son turned me on to them in late 90's. I'm a old hippie and the music I grew up on got old and I was looking for something new. He got me into Tool, etc. to! Early 2000"s my daughter turned me on to her music. He went on to form his own band and they have some awesome songs that very much compete with some of Metallica's best. Songs of Megadeth worth checking out are ( Symphony of destruction, live version from Argentina )- Peace Sells but who's buying - "Holy War" which is totally epic - The Conjuring - and last but not least the live version of " A Tout le Mond " again live from Argentina. Lars Ullrich....great drummer, and from what I e seen in interviews, a pretty nice dude as well....He reminds you of Bonzo? I believe Lar’s drummer god is Bonzo.....and you can definitely see and hear that in his approach.....
