Just picked up a pair of these for £170 / $200 on Amazon prime day deals 😅
lmao me too and i'm binge watching every review
Same here lol
I’m considering getting them, how do they sound? I’ve seen many reviews saying that they sound awful but I’m currently using £20ish Sony headphones so they gotta be atleast better than them lol
@@towerstycoonStill waiting for mine to be delivered. I owned the QC 45’s about 4 years ago and they sounded amazing! These will sound even better ! Ignore the haters - just do it mate 😉 You can always return them if you want to !
SAME
Bro, the Bose you showed on Ebay for $98 is from a seller with a feedback score of 2. That is a red flag.
Probably a Chinese knockoff.
@@GabrielSchlaefer yep product ships from china lol and seller feedback is 75% which is terrible
Yah I was like ok but I don’t want to shop on ebay 🫠
I'm pretty sure (2) just means they sold 2 things before. The 75% satisfaction is the score. If they only sold 2 things, it might be a dude selling his Christmas gift or something, not an EBay entrepreneur.
@@Hexagonian sure but i’m assuming the discussion in this video isn’t based entirely off one guy selling his christmas present, if it is, then it’s a really dumb video 😂
i bought the quietcomforts today & im obsessed with them, perfect for me
Tbh, the only reason why I want Bose qc is because it’s green. Like actually
This review was the last one I watched before I purchased the Bose QC for $250. Have to say, I'm an hour in and they are my favorite over-the-ear-headphones I've ever used. Thanks for your thorough review!
I upgraded from my 45s because that dark green is just dope.
I’ve tried these new Quietcomforts, QC 45, ultra and I have 35 ii. I agree the new quietcomforts and the ultras and very similar with anc and audio quality. But these quietcomforts are way better in audio quality compared to the 35 ii. The bass is significantly better and it’s not even close. The mids and highs are also clearer with more oomph. Also the quietcomforts have noticeably better sound quality especially bass than the qc 45. I’m keeping these new quietcomforts. I also love the simple design and the comfort. I hated the touch controls of the ultras and were less comfortable for sure
Exactly. I’m thinking of returning ultras for the qc. I returned the 45’s preferring the 35 ii’s
Can pls share is there much anc difference between 35ii vs new qc headphone ?
Overemphasized bass does *not* equal high sound quality
Hey there! You mentioned the QCs are more comfortable than the Ultras. Was it ear cup or headband discomfort? I get headband discomfort most often.
Will be my first ANC headphones upgrade since 2011 so don’t want to have buyers remorse between the two.
I cannot fault my QC35II. Love them, been through hell and 3 sets of pads. I wear them everyday. Would buy again.
Same here. I like the raised logo and silver color better than qc45 so I stayed put
I went from the 35II's which lasted me several years, to the 45's last year. They got driven over by a bus. (They still turned on, plus one earcup still worked after all that.) In search for a quick upgrade I went to the NC700's, which were my favourite ones so far. Since then I've contacted Bose and they offered me a free upgrade from my destroyed 45's to the QuietComforts. I'm excited to see how they hold up!
Two questions comparing the new 2023 quietcomfort vs the qc45’s-1) Is it true the 2023 qc’s aren’t as loud at max volume as the qc45’s? 2) Is the bass definitely better on the 2023 qc’s vs the qc45’s? Thanks!
and buy the 'SC" version to save yourself some money
I am listening to this on QC 15s! I bought them like 15 years ago, replaced the ear cups a few times, and the still do a job. I have had a different experience with the Bose buds, which I have seemed to go through about 1 year including replacements. I don't know why the buds seem so poor compared to the overhead earphones.
I am tempted to buy the Quiet comfort Headphones Wireless just for the mic's handling of external noise, as I want to take audio notes.
Battery still holding up? My 4-year-old QC35 IIs' battery's given up.
I have qc15 and it only uses aaa batteries.@radiccs
Comparing these to the Sony XM4, really not sure which to go with 🤔
Bose
This video is undeniably motivating! - "Progress results from persistent effort."
I bought the QC 45's almost two years ago. They've been the perfect headphones for me. Then again, I don't use them outside so I've never experienced the wind issues he mentioned.
I have them. They are crap.
Just picked up both the Ultra’s. I had the QC35 and the QC buds. I think both are fantastic. After changing/exploring the various earbuds and ring sizes on the earbuds I feel these are the best I’ve ever had. I have the Airpod Pro 2 USB-C and I like the Ultra Buds A LOT better. I’ll be using the Ultra over ear headset on plane travel
.... When Listen Wired Do I Have To Have Power On Or Can I Listen Wired Passively As I Prefer ....
I just ordered mine in black. I’ve been debating for a week now whether I should go for these or the Ultras. However, today at the electronics store, I suddenly saw that they had the Ultras on display. I tried them on, and they didn’t feel right for me. Yes, there is a slightly noticeable improvement in sound (mainly in the bass, I would say), and maybe 5% better noise cancellation, but for me, that doesn’t justify the price increase. Additionally, they felt a bit cheap in terms of quality for that price. Maybe that’s just me, but I believe I made the right call going with the QuietComforts.
Same here. The most important thing for me wasnt actually the price, it was the practicability of the qc headphones over the ultras. Full button setup, slider with steps (so much quicker and easier to set up and you Always get the right adjustment and dont have to readjust), deeper earholes, more mids, less clamping force and no annyoing head detection which sometimes doesnt work right. These are too many things for me to even consider the ultras. Especially because the qc Headphones have the most important features. Eq, Multipoint, Wind Block, they Sound as great as the ultras (slightly different sound profile, but sound as great), and Same ANC performance
@@yu-gi-oase7498 all the features that make the qc ultra $80 more expensive are features i dont even use. immersive is dumb for my uses. why do i want the sound to be stuck in 1 spot, or if choose motion mode, why do i want the sound to sound like its catching up to my head movement. its not as comfortable either as the QC 45.
@@yu-gi-oase7498 is the Bose QC ultra noice cancellation much better than the Quiet confort ? I REALLY CARE NOICE CANCELLATION, because I use them for studying. Do you think the difference is so big that I have to buy the ultra over the normal quiet confort ? considering that I also like the other ultra extra features over the qc, but not so much to justify the big price
Me too, Ultras felt like your average $100 headset knockoff on hand and no buttons is horrible. QC over Ultra even if they were more expensive for me.
I returned my quietcomforts and got the 45s instead. After 3-4 months I returned those too and got the airpods max. Im very happy with my choice.
how do these compare to the QC25?
Yes!!! I couldn't agree more. I bought the QC35s years and years ago, and I'm listening to this video right now, still using them. Have tried a ton of other wireless noise-canceling headphones and still end up coming back to these every time. Have Apple Pro Max headphones right next to me, and I still reach for these over those. They are tough, too, because I don't baby them at all and throw them around. I've replaced the ear cups several different times; other than that, I haven't had to touch them. Highly recommend.
Yeah same here qc 35 ii’s were classic. I returned the qc45
I bought my QC 45s to replace my 35s which I thought were pretty damn good. Mainly I use them on long international flights. But I have been extremely dissatisfied with the 45s. First, if you use the included wired connection to hook up to the in-flight entertainment system, it disables the noise canceling function. WTF?! And then you cannot use its wireless feature without buying a third-party Bluetooth transmitter, which ups the cost of the package. But even worse, using a Bluetooth transmitter hooked to the in-flight entertainment system, sound only comes out of one ear cup. And other words, the QC 45s becomea truly mono experience. I have communicated with Bose’s online support personnel, and they have no explanation and no solution. It’s pretty much, “sorry about that”. Am I the only one who’ve had this experience?
hey did you figure out the in flight issue?
Love my Sony XM4s, Xm5’s look uglier and bulky imo
The QC 45's sound totally different than the QC 35 II's. Imho bad, compared to the 35 II's. Too much mids and highs. Despite the older app for the 35 II's not having an EQ, they sound way better than the 45's. The EQ in the newer app can't fix that. Also, the ANC of the 45's generates static noise. The ANC of the 35 II's does not.
If the new Bose QuietComfort and Bose QuietComfort Ultra sound like the 45's, I would not recommend them.
Awesome video & really enjoyed your comparisons with the earlier Bose headphones..... I've been primarily using buds the last 3 - 4 years and I broke down the other day when I saw these listed for 249.00 on Amazon and I quickly ordered a pair.....wow, was that a brilliant decision, they rock in just the way you describe. Sincere thanks & have a great day.....
QC35 II still has the best sound quality, and I write this in 2024. Best sound rating on rtings
So at $250, would that be a good price for the QC for what they are/what you get?
I picked them up on sale for 250 at target and my lord these things are amazing.
I've used a pair of these daily since 2019. They're working perfectly almost 6 years later
That green color is the best color to ever come out on a pair of headphones.
I have the green Bose headphones and they are the best pair I've ever owned.
Picked some up at best buy. They sound amazing, and YES the bass IS THERE especially when you turn up the bass in the eq on the app. Very well balances as well with good sound stage and turning up the bass doesn't muddy it out. These are great headphones for being on sale for $250 right now.
Just picked up a pair for 180 on Amazon on huge discount and under interest free monthly pay can’t wait to try them when they arrive
I have been using the QC35 for years now and they still hold up. Great product. As mentioned in the video I like that they lack all those smart features that annoy me on other headphones.
.... The new quiet comfort 249 usd on amazon as of Friday 5.10.24 ....
What made me exchange my QC45 for the Sennheiser momentum 4 : not enough bass, and the microphone for phone calls. My momentum 4 gives me 60hrs of battery life ! The QC 45 remains my absolute love because of the buttons, Noise Cancelling and the Comfort ! Will buy the QC on black friday !
Momentum 4 is what I have. Love them!
@@Crushenator500the momentum 4's are good but I don't like how they sound out of the box. They have too much bass out of the box and they hurt my ears because of the clamping force. I prefer a more neutral eq and that's what the QC have so they sound better to me. I also don't like touch controls.
@@zombieimpact2790 I am not a big fan of touch control either, I prefer the buttons on the QC. The bass is what was lacking for me when I had the QC 45. At first, I didn't like the clamping force but over time the cushion softened and now they are very very comfortable for me to the point that sometimes I even forget to take them off.
Did you find the Momentum 4 as a step back in terms of noise cancelling?
@@attilab.2818in terms of ANC it was a bit of a step back, but the sound quality, the battery life and the microphone were so good that you will forgive the slightly lower NC. It’s not Bose level but good enough to reduce a ton of noise.
They’re on sale for 250 rn
Wow ! Great reviews sir ! But, why Bose can't give us good codecs? Aptx, aptx hd, adaptive or better?!? I used to work for Bose and they are always behind the competition. SBC and AAC in 2024 it's a shame !
Do you know what they did wuth the qc ultra headphones? They add snapdragon chip inside their headphones. Yes, you have access to aptx adaptive, but only adaptive!!! And the worst: you need to have a phone with snapdragon chip!! So apple you are fu@#ed, samsung s23 ultra in america you're fu@#ed and all other phones you're fu@#ed! 😂😂😂 in Europe, in their samsung s23 ultra they have snapdragon, ao it will work, but not in america.
Excellent work on the video
I have no AC. Lots of loud fans. Amazing all I hear is a slight breeze of air and hear almost nothing.
Audio quality is much better on the 35 ii. Comfort is better too.
Theyre 249 on Amazon right now
Bose QC headphones are the most comfortable headphones. They are light and well fitting. The BT and NC connections are great. Bose is great for atmospheric, therapeutic, classical, soft rock, and pop music. The Bose App allows you to adjust the sound to your preference. The newest versions reportedly have more bass. I have other headphones that are great for heavy base and loud rock. However, I keep coming back to Bose for comfort; and for high quality of complex sound. Have not tried the phone connection that is reportedly great for clarity of sound.
I admit, normie QC is actually better than things like NC700...coz I upgraded it and still miss the lightness of the QC...
Can you share me detail of firmware version on Bose QuietComfort 2023? I'm doing a project to collect all firmware version for it
Thanks for this video. I was wondering, if I should upgrade my QC 35 II, which I absolutly love. I think I'll stick with mine :)
The product manager of Bose really succeeded with this one in 2018. I'm curious what happend with him then. After the QC35 II the product quality started to decline fast and it did not stop. I would not be surprised if Bose had paid him a shitload of money to consult them on the new quitecomfort.
Well, I guess I will wear down the 35s until those come down in price. Can't wait! didthey implement low latency codecs for BT?
this are more comfortable than the 35 and have better ANC and sound in addition to wind block
I just bought these since I wanted a multipoint connection since my xm3 don’t have this. And honestly the sound experience was underwhelming. Don’t get me wrong they are still great headphones imo they are more comfortable, better noise cancellation than my Sony Xm3 but I had to return them. One of the reasons being that the quiet comfort are not as loud as the xm3. I was testing them back to back and I always had to increase the volume on the Bose to match the loudness of the Sony. Also the XM3s offer a richer fuller sound experience and the bass is much more powerful and pronounced plus the app allows for much greater sound tuning. Guess I’ll stick with my xm3 until they die.
I agree, the Bose QC35II are the best I've owned. I had the Apple AirPod Max, and although they sound magnificent, they were not comfortable andhurt my head after wearing them for an hour. I had to return them. On the other hand, the QC35IIs, I can literally fall asleep with them and not know I'm wearing them.
Yeah 35 ii are the travel goat for sure. Ultras have better anc tho
Why and they hurt your head?
Just bought a qc 35 ii for 60 bucks lmao
Just snagged these for 250 Euros after moaning for years how there isn't a simple, straightforward pair of BT headphones that just works without unnecessary bells and whistles but still has the modern features you would need.
Currently im havin quietcomfort 35ii but while travelling im hearing noise of the train...so changing to new quiet comfort headphone only for anc is worth to buy?Anyone who tried both pls share
.... What About The Channel Imbalance ....
4 months later you can get them $100 discount, they listened
I'm sorry, SQ is not a big perk in the QC line. It is average at best. Comfort is top-notch though and ANC has always been among the best if not the best.
On other reviews they say the sound quality from the 45 to the numberless one is much better.
I went to a big shop today but almost all are out off battery so i could not test them.
But it felt good on my head so I think i'll get the QC from 2023.
Just bought these on sale for $250!
there is now a blue version 279 USD
I've been using the Bose NC700 for about a year. I use them every day and they are great.
Would you pay 259 for them
Where did you get your hat?
399.95€ here in Italy 😂
If you're near Switzerland you could buy it there. That would be a good alternative because of the VAT story.
My qc 35 II of 5 years everyday use had to retire. The on/off switch broke and not fixable. Contemplated on the qc45 or new qc but worry the switch will break the same way. Ultra does not have the switch but it has a delay in powering on and connecting to devices.
Thank you so much for the informal video!!
I like Sony
Do these work well for pc gaming? I dont need the microphone just the audio
no. it's bluetooth so i wouldn't recommend it unless you're just playing single player games, but still i feel like you're better off with actual gaming headphones that connects via 2.4ghz if you want wireless.
Are the same earpads for future replacement as the QC45's?
Hi there, how can i add custom mode on my Bose qc45?
Their app
where are 35's for 98 bucks??
There are a good number of new/open box qc35 on eBay for around $120-130. That screenshot was from ebay, but I imagine that particular one isn’t available anymore.
I had the qc35 and I totally agree with you. I loved the comfort and sound. I still miss them to this day. Even though I moved on to Sony xm5 to Sennheiser momentum 4. Which I truly love after this last update. But I do have my eye on the new Cypress green quietcomfort, being military I love green lol
Boss was and always will be overpriced
Its the same like RRS
Don't think there is anything better for monitoring then the sennheiser hd 25 and they are around for decades. They are designed since start for professionals where boss is designed for same people who is buying iphones... To own premium product, but lack understanding. The main difference between sennheiser hd 25 and boss sc is, that if one of your side stop worrying, cable get teared off or you loose any foam pads, you can go and buy just the part you need... No need to buy new headphones. I've done DJing for 15 years and never came accros anything better.. I
I use Bowers and Wilkins PX8 and I’m happy with the sound quality of px8
You have made a mistake with the Bose 35 ii headphones. The Amazon link says $280
They are 98 on ebay
You nailed it! Thank you.
You missed mic quality. its improved with each one and I think is significantly improved on the quietcomfort?
3:39 how many devices can you connect to the headphones?
Can’t agree. Only 24 hours battery life? That’s not good enough in 2023,
Perfect imo. Any more would require more battery and weight. No bueno
Sennheiser Momentum 4 is a better buy. Battery life of 60 hours (BT+ANC!!) and far better sound quality than Bose. Also better sound quality than Sony XM5, any JBL, AKG, B&W and even the AirPods Max. I love ❤ Sennheiser @Sennheiser #Sennheiser
I have to disagree slightly. The bass is considerably better on the "quitecomfort" headphones than on the QC 45. Although my daily driver is a "Focal Bathys" I admit that the bass is very good on the quitecomfort headphones.
Here in Germany the Bose Quitecomfort cost gross 399 Euro which is ridicolous. Everything above gross 299 euro is not acceptable, in my opinion, given the strong value depreciation over time of Bose products.
