Hi, watched video as have this problem with seats twisting on back rest and height adjustment. Motors an absolute nightmare to get to, tried to get cable out but extremely fiddly. Tried to just cut a section of the cable sleeve out as a last resort, about 2.5cm, slid sleeve back together, taped together... WORKS!!!

question. Is it possible to replace the bottom part of the driver seat without replacing the whole seat. The seat on mine feels like it's colapsing, the former owner must have been a large person.

Hi, I have a BMW 530i e39. Since, I bought this car the passenger seat has a problem reclining. Is it possible to get it fixed in Australia. I checked many mechanics and mostly can't fix it and the few who can charge more than the actual seat will cost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

+josh hollerbeck Loud noise is a good sign that your wheel bearing will need replacing. We recommend searching for a used wheel hub with bearing already attached.
Hello on my E39 driver seat feels likes it's leaning towards the center console,,and it is actually rubbing against it,,the motors works great and the seat reclines even,,,it just leans to the right,,, what do you recommend,,if you can help I would be greatful,, thanks
Sounds like your door had the twisty issue and was fixed prior. Unfortunatley, it wasn't aligned when it was fixed, that would be the reason it leans towards you center console

Can you tell me if it's possible to switch the passenger and driver seats? Obviously moving the controls from one to the other, but I'm wondering if they're the same seat platform capable of this switch... Please if anyone knows share this info with me. TY
i was leaning my seat back and had some in the way in the back seat and it started twisting and now one side dont move at all and sounds a lil difrent did i blow a motor or did mine pop out
motor is fine. You just need to adjust cable

What if a bmw e90 seat only goes up vertically but won’t go down? I assume that this must be the motor. If it gets power going up the switch must be working?
