    The new headlights looks better I believe, I sold my 528i 2001 with 172k for $4500 in 2017, I guess it’s about the same price or little higher, mine was m package with full options… your now looks great bro!

    The first part is great for my e39 because the passenger seat tilt back and forth twists ! You’re a life saver man

    Thanks Chris, I've been waiting for the video as I have the same seat problem. Seems to be an easy fix. The channel is awesome, keep up the good work. In Australia that car would sell for between A$9000 and A$11000.

    So you fixed an unlevel seat problem not a twisting seat problem. But what did i expect from some that does research and still cuts on the wrong cable.

    It’s Looking lovely now !!! In Germany you would get about 4500 euros so with my guess that’s about 5300 US-Dollar all depends on if the prices are going up on the e39 like here in Europe 👍🏻

    • @TheBimmerBarn
      @TheBimmerBarn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the prices are going up here in the US as well! 🙄

    Great fix Chris. And on the plastic parts, you should try '303 Aerospace Protectant'. It gives a nice finish and it lasts a very long time. I use it for years now.
    And the price idk. In Europe, these e39's are cult already. For example, In Germany, a mint e39 M5 on 50.000 miles was sold last week for 78.000 euros!!!. I think 5 years ago this would be sold for 40.000 euro. But it's not only the e39 m5 going up very fast!! Good luck selling this beauty. Dutch regards, Nico.

      This is happening in the US as well, M-car prices are going up, and some of the standard model prices have soared as well. Harder and harder to find a rust-free BMW in good condition nowadays. I'm going to look up that protectant! Thanks Nico.

    Fully sorted should fetch between 5500-6500. I think it would be more if it were a 530i.

    I've been a subscriber for over a year now & I have to say you are a very good tech on the bmws. I have 5 total e46 & 2 of them are touring. Touring e46 are my favorite by far. I just want to ask you are the 3.0 really worth it? Love your channel.

    I bought my 1998 BMW 523i SE with just under 140k miles for £1750 so about $2160. Looking at these comments I’m thinking that is extremely cheap 😂

    Goot work on the seat! I appreciate the edited down version of the job, but it would also be interesting to know roughly how long it took in total for you to fix the seat, including the cleaning :)

    • @TheBimmerBarn
      @TheBimmerBarn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Luckily it was only the one seat, so I was able to do everything in this video during the course of an 8-hour work day. Fixing the seat probably took an hour or two, but you can do it faster if you know which cable you need to fix, and you don't need to remove the seat to fix it, although it was a little tight! Thanks for the positive feedback, Kim :)

  • @89five3five
    @89five3five ปีที่แล้ว

    You could’ve done this without removing the seat
