I worked for a year at an army ammunition plant (technical guy, IT department). We convinced our branch to allow us to observe the test facility when they were testing 20mm rounds from a Vulcan. The sound... the rumble... was unbelievable. We were 20 feet away, around the corner of a concrete building, behind a sheet metal wall with observation portals. We could still CLEARLY feel the shockwaves. My sternum was vibrating within my chest. Dust from the ground around us was lifting. AND? It was firing at one quarter the normal speed. We were issued ear plugs AND acoustic over-the-ear muffs. Deafening roar.

Apparently after an hour or so it was well holed but still not going down so they allowed 2 A-10 "warthogs" to try and in less than 15 minutes the warthog sank her by coming in low strafing her below the waterline! We had a C-RAM located almost right next to our emplacement cite, a M109A6 Paladin platoon. We had three artillery howitzers set up for counter measures. One night we were watching a movie and out of the blue we just hear a loud "BRRRRRT" that startled all of us. We go outside and we hear over the radio to chill because it was the C-RAM team next to our site conducting some night training drills. It was such an experience, something like that stays with you. If we aren't Vietnamese, for example, we have a friend who is. Humans are like that, not only us and our tribe but who those in our tribe say is our tribe. If anything, the complexity in the US (and many european countries_ is no longer associating tribe with ethnicity but something more crebral. You'll find a lot of foreigners are very irritated by the attitude a lot of natural born Americans have. I have a lot of friends from Vietnam and the Phillipines and they are disgusted by how some Americans shit on their own country cause I feel a lot 9f Americans have no clue how good they have it compared to a majority of the world. Is the US perfect? Absolutely not, but we really take it for granted. So when I see Americans bitch about how awful their l8ves are and how awful the US is, I think of my Vietnamese in laws and what they had to endure growing up. And as someone whos traveled the world trust me when I say that no 1st world country has it "figured out" everyone has issues that effect people differently. But I'm happy to live in a country that has working sewage and water systems, access to fresh food, supplies, utilities etc. Again, perfect? No. But I wouldn't want ti live elsewhere. And maybe the UK or European countries will float other people's boats and that way of life is fine for some, but my lifestyle will only be practical in the US.

I love the added Arma 3 footage ("simulation in the game" part).... this is probably the first TH-cam video that showcased the gameplay footage as "gameplay footage" instead of trying to claim the footage is "real life" and use it to trick unknowing people into thinking some country is at war with another lol.
BTW, if you have a competent gaming PC, I highly recommend the "game" (more of an open world military sim sandbox with literally endless ways to play and things to do), fantastic game, even if you aren't interested in military sims, there's game modes/mods like Exile Mod, kinda like DayZ -esq if you've heard of that infamous game (minus the zombles usually, but can be added), pretty much a loot and shoot open environment with AI soldier missions and base building, or A3S(Arma 3 Survival Mod) which is a "recreation" of DayZ pretty much, plus all the other stuff, king of the kill, military ops, air ops, sea, whatever.
And on a important side note, that gameplay footage is most likely from "Compared Comparison", a great TH-cam channel that uses Arma 3 gameplay footage, along with some mods, to recreate super realistic videos of typically, C-RAM, PHALANX, and A-10 Warthog weapons/planes, along with other goodies (it's nice when footage is explained where and who created it, credit you know)

Really scary part about the C-RAM is its an automated system. Also as the video is at night you can see the "tracer" rounds. those are bullets that light up so the system or even manually controlled systems or fire arms can identify the direction of fire. Typicaly every 5th round is a tracer. So that line of light between each dot of light there are 4 other rounds between them. Just to give a practical idea of how much ammo it dishes out.
