    I looked up for this video to get a better understandig about Turo, if he wouldn't have said Turo I would have thought he was talking about Zipcar lol
    With Zipcar you have 8 dollars membership fee, tools can be added to you trip even two months after you had rented the car, 180 miles limit (really?).
    What I've seen good about Turo is that you can rent budget cars, not like Zipcar where you have between a Honda Civic and a Mercedes-Benz GLE!
    I'm going to try it now that I'm moving out of NYC, if works that would be ideal!
    Thanks!

  • @glisciousful
    @glisciousful 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Turo is way cheaper than regular car rental , so the amount weighs out the cons because for the same you would be paying 300+ more at a regular car rental place.

    • @1977TA
      @1977TA 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Turo is no cheaper than the average rental car company. They have comparable rates per day depending on the type of car you want. The only advantage Turo gives you is a wider selection of vehicles and the possibility of getting a daily rate as low as $27. Typical rental car companies don’t go any lower than $36 per day.

    We don't need Turo to rent cars out, just use renters' personal insurance, they will cover your car much better and you get 100% of the money. Good luck getting your car fixed by Turo if a major accident happens. My Daughters Tesla has been in the shop since September 2020 and Turo is trying to find ways not to pay for it while I still have to pay $700 a month

    idk if you mention it, but if you reschedule your rental they will do a separate full charge rather than the difference. say for example you schedule march 25 to April 25th and its 300 dollars, then you find out your car has to be in the shop for much less time, so you reschedule for the duration being through April 10th. you would not get the difference back, they would do a full separate charge for say 150 and they would take (3 to five days) refund your original 300. Lousy system, especially paired with an android app interface that makes the scheduling portion unecessarily difficult in favor of a "modern" interface. My first time using them a 189 dollar rental ended up pending on my account as 700 dollars because I had to reschedule because their interface twice. terrible service dont recommend

    I do not think anything is out of the ordinary what you told
    - young drivers suck
    -If the owner had to wait for you its not his fault, he should be compensated
    -So in $20 you wants tolls to be paid by the owner
    -use your navigation on cell
    -You have a phone which does not have aux input that also is not owner's fault
    I did not have patience to listen more so I stopped the video.

    When you come back to dfw in your map app in your phone you can turn on avoid tolls on your settings... Dfw is pretty much a circle of circles, every thing connects to another freeway. I'm from dfw and I never take the tolls

    Hi there! I hope this comment finds you well and that you see it lol. When you picked your vehicle up did they check your DL? I booked my turbo car and with my luck I lost my wallet which has my DL but I have a temporary sheet stating I have one coming

    20 some dollars extra per day on a $20 car rental would not be 30 to 50% a day more that would be over 100% a day more

    I did my hard research just recently and for most areas it is not really profitable. What is happening is that there is so much competition - the smaller fleets and owners of one or two cars are lowering their price/day just to GET BY and pay their loan and other expenses. They do not care about profit at this time. So there is a price war to the downside. This in turn is causing the larger fleets to do the same... in fact, a lot of mid-large fleet owners are SELLING their fleet to bring in income and to get out of the business!!
    According to the numbers of my local area - owners of 6 - 9 vehicles are only doing about $80 per month/vehicle @ average of 4 days rented ... to $118 / month / vehicle @ average of 6 days rented on the lower end. On the higher end; $509/month per vehicle @ avg of 4 days rented ... to $763/month per vehicle @ avg of 6 days rented.
    Remember, those are GROSS figures not NET - you still need to include cost of maintenance, gas, cleaning, repairs, insurance, parking, etc., which is about 67.5% of GROSS.
    Now, do the math...

    Don't use Advantage Rent A Car in Orlando. They charged me $850 for a chip in the windshield that was already there. I wish there was an agency that would investigate them. I notified the BBB and they have over 30 complaints in the past year that all went unanswered. They also have an F rating. BEWARE

    You said the car cost $20 a day, then said little guy insurance is %30-%50. Then proceed to say it’s like $20 extra for little guy insurance, that would %100 increase not %30-%50
