      @@user-iz1ue2yf7n I think working with alcohol markers is pretty hard! But maybe the blending is a little easier:)

    Yeah, high quality watercolours can be like that. When i switched to artist's grade paints (Schmincke Horadam) I had the same experience; I thought I didn't like them at all att first. But ever since I got them I don't touch my old paints anymore, I always reach for the high grade stuff! :)

    Lovely artwork you have! I love looking at and making cute things too :) thanks for sharing your favourite supplies, I particularly loved the mechanical pencil with the side button, so handy! One of my favourite art supplies is muji’s hand cranked pencil sharpener. It makes a vey fine point and it’s the only one of mine that works well with prismacolor pencils. Btw, subscribed!

    • @StudioEstherillustration
      @StudioEstherillustration  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much, I had a look at that sharpener, looks nice! I’ve never had one of those. But the prismacolors are a lot softer than the Faber-Castell pencils, so it’s probably harder to find a good sharpener for! Good to know that one works so well👍. And thank you for subscribing!😊

      @@StudioEstherillustration Yes, you definitely should get whatever stocks they still have, that’s what I did. Hahnemühle have launched two new all cotton watercolour papers, the cheaper is called Expression and the high end cotton paper is called Collection. I haven’t tried them yet, so I cannot tell how they differ from the Cézanne. Sadly Hahnemühle mainly produce pulp paper now, I wonder why! They used to have more choices.

    I love your art style! My favorite art supplies are similar to yours (paper, fineliners, erasers), but I'm just an amateur. 😅 I've never tried Daniel Smith's watercolour, my favorite one is a Van Gogh watercolor set from Royal Talens, the same company from the sketchbook.

    Nice. I have a few DS sample pack tubes and they're really good when I use them. I also have that same exact mini spray bottle 😂
    One tip if you can't afford a porcelain palette is to lightly rough up the tin with like a super fine grit sand paper- think like 3000 grit to prevent gouging. I believe there's also a toothpaste coating hack, but I forget if that's to whiten after some color staining or to prevent the beading that happens or a mix of both.

    • @StudioEstherillustration
      @StudioEstherillustration  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a nice tip about using sand paper to rough up the tin! One of my palettes is from a thrift store and was probably made for food, but I like it anyways😋. And now I know it’s called beading! English is not my first language and I could not figure out what to call it😅

    • @StudioEstherillustration
      @StudioEstherillustration  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At an art supply store or online. Or you could look in a thrift shop for porcelain plates or trays (they are made for food mostly, but that doesn’t matter😊).
