I’m sorry, but is this amazing, I actually recognised this street just by the thumbnail, it’s called “via delle volte” and it’s near the place I grew up in, so I’m pretty used to these streets. Gorgeous work, to be honest you captured the place very well.💕
You're style is so original. As a beginner, Im looking at lots of tutorials these days, and noticing styles. Nobody is doing what you're doing. Whatever may happen with time, dont change your formula. It's just too unique.
Watching how you use your pencil to get the angle is so helpful to see. And your explanations on why you do things is greatly appreciated. Thank you for all of this. You are a great artist and teacher!
You have the most perfect way to inspire me with your explanations, taking the time to tell us the colours you used and why. Thank you. I look forward to seeing more videos.
This is one of the best line and wash architecture type of painting I've seen. It's absolutely beautiful, just love the colours and the reflection idea at the end really added that special something. Thank you for sharing your stunning work with us ❤️ 😊.
I love her work, she is SO talented! I wish she would do more videos. I just started painting with watercolor about 2 years ago and urban sketching/ink and watercolor have become my favorites. Now to try and master it. lol
What's the beautiful your artwork 🥰 Thanks for sharing and inspiration. I adore old european streets and I'll try to draw some of them with your method. Thank you again 🙏
What you call a mistake, such as with the excess yellow color, turns out to be a blessing because the orange you added just made the painting that much richer, with the final touch being the reflections in the street which were just perfect!!!
Very nice! Thank you for sharing the drawing process and painting process and colors used and reference photo. This is a great learning tutorial that includes everything. Thank you for sharing
I love watching you in the process of painting. 🧡 I've watched quite a few videos a few times, although I "found" you only recently. Thank you for this video, I enjoy the few minutes downtime and the beautiful work. 🙏
Hi Jillee, thanks to your tutorials now I'm spending all my savings on art supplies lol. They are great for beginners as myself to achieve a goal and keep trying to get results! Appreciate your videos!
Absolutely beautiful! I am an Acrylic artist myself and a lot of times I see similarities between watercolor and Acrylic and I also do Dry Point Intaglio Printmaking where as a result I use watercolors to embellish my prints after the fact. So bravo to you on your mastery of watercolor. You have inspired me to do street scenes of Paris France and places in Spain. I always knew that whatever medium you are working in being minimal on the details is always impactful and that there really is no need to add every single brick or stone.
God your paintings are beautiful. I really love ink and wash/ink and watercolor works. They just appeal to me and I love making them. I love watching you work, you’re very experienced and have worked hard to gain your talents and it shows. I could watch you do this all day. It just motivates me to whip out my sketchbook and all the pans of beautiful expensive paint I have sitting unused.
Amazing... learned a few techniques from you.. think the most important is to use expensive 100% cotton paper... you just can't get those blends from cellulose!
I was looking at some old master architecture drawings and noticed they would also use a lighter watered down ink to suggest depth. I like how you weren't afraid to go too yellow, knowing you could tone it down later. Orange was a perfect transition color. I would have toned it down with water, then added orange, and done it earlier, but that's me, as I prefer orange to yellow. I also like you are not a purist, but will put in white highlights in gouache where need be. Your voice is very soothing.
Watered down ink is something I haven’t tried yet, it is intriguing though. I am glad I made it more orange too, yellow is a color I am not so afraid of because it is so light and can be easily layered over. I didn’t use gouache in the past, then I signed up for a course, and the teacher taught about using white goauche, plus I’ve seen some masters using gouache too, so I think using gouache for small touch ups is perfectly good esp for sketches. Thanks for commenting Thomas!☺️💓
I visited this video few times - you should be very proud of yourself and art - great job - this painting and reference photo is very soothing reminds me of childhood memories in a different country ♥️very peaceful - thanks for sharing - cheers
this street is called "Via Delle Volte " it is located in my city Ferrara and for me it is an honor to see it reproduced in paintings by artists from all over the world! I love it!!❤❤❤❤
Amazing video. I plan to be architect when I'm older and these videos are what I do to practice. These videos are so soothing and calming. Keep doing what you're doing! Love from Australia
Buen dia querida Jillee..disculpa por no haber estado a tiempo por la diferencia de horas con Argentina...Es la mas bella acuarela que jamas he visto..viendote aprendo mucho..Saludos y gracias por mostrarnos tu destreza..😊
Wonderful work, you are an inspiration. This gives me motivation to paint and draw something similar, although I don’t pretend to have your skill. Greetings from Oregon, USA. I will subscribe.
Your paintings are so beautiful, I am learning a lot just by watching you paint and with the tips you give us. This painting of Italy reminds me a town in Girona, Spain called "Peratallada". Maybe you can find some inspiration with that town as well :)
