I love how your paintings don't look so complicated and too extravagant ..they're simple yet beautiful ...an amazing way to fill your sketchbook..also really nice way of using different shades of similar colours in one painting

i saw many trees and branches without leaves there! i also looove drawing that so much :) reminds me of my painting which is branches with the word "stuck" that really stuck in it made with pointilism, my teacher loves it 🖤 i know this quite oot from your video, but your video makes me feel nostalgic, it's so calming and warm..

I wrote too soon! I must write again and say how much I loved getting to watch you paint. It’s a really great experience and the blue studies in both books were excellent. Thank you so much for sharing some of your process! I am bound and determined to do some more gouache! I would like to try some monochrome studies. Even some simple ones for me to start off with would give me some valuable lessons on values. I am really just so appreciative of you sharing your work and some of your process! It is very inspiring! After my move, I shall take up paint brush and calligraphy pen again!

It never occurred to me that I could put my gouache in a pan like I do with my watercolors.

You can! Just make sure to keep the palette as airtight as possible, as gouache has a tendency to crack and separate from the pans much more so than watercolors when exposed to air
Yeah you can do it with any gouache but may have some of the issues mentioned above, but this Mijello gouache is specifically formulated to work well in pans. I believe it's closer to a gouache-watercolour hybrid in its qualities from what I've heard. So it's not meant to crack and rewets easier than most gouache but I believe it is also a bit more transparent and dries less matte.

Watching you work makes me wonder why I am so hesitant to get back to my art practise. How do you deal with overcoming fear towards your own creative work!? Do tell us. Your work is simply stunning and it gives us such joy to watch your process. 🎉❤🎉
While working on the house sketch, I think she modeled her method of overcoming the fear. Even though she didn't like the sketch at first, she kept the faith and pushed through the ugly stage. That's what we all have to improve on, it seems. I'm going to close my laptop and put some color on a page in a minute. I hope you can, too.

So wonderful to see your process. I'm inspired to try gouache again. I wonder: how do you keep your paints so wet over time while in your palette? I assume they dry into cakes in the wells. Do you just rewet and use them again?
