Jacksons are great. Some of my earlier axes are Jacksons, which I use alongside BC Rich and Dean for the most part. I prefer the larger and weightier bodies because many pointy guitars have this tendency to neck dive if the body doesn’t have adequate mass and balance. The pickups on yours sound fierce and I look forward to your review. My ideal guitar isn’t easy to get a hold of, but here’s what I’d want. In terms of shapes, I’d favour the BC Rich Beast, the Ironbird or the Jackson Kelly among various other designs. What’s important here is that the body needs to have mass and balance. It would need to be a seven string axe with a high quality floating tremolo system. Preferably with a neck through construction and a scale length above 26 inches, but I can still manage fine with 24.75-25.5” as well. I’d also like for it to have no fret markers so I can just add whatever inlays I’d like and would prefer an ebony fret board for the darker aesthetics. It would also need passive bridge and neck pickups of the Duncan Invader variety, but with a bit more fire on the top end. Personally, I absolutely need a tone knob because I tend to dial it down to thicken the tone and then boost it as that makes for a different type of heavier voicing and drive than just having the tone at maximum - all inspired by the Tom Warrior approach.

Dude, on my phone it appears you speed up your playing. You're way better than me but why do musicians do this? It's essentially the equivalent of pitch correction on a singers channel. If you can't play it that fast then either play it slower and be happy or don't play it. In my eyes on any channel that's advertising itself for playing ability its a bit fraudulent. Just my opinion but there you go.
As someone who has seen his videos on this channel and taken guitar lessons from Dev, i can confirm that he actually does play at that speed , he has also given many lessons on this channel about his picking speed and style. Respectfully you have no idea what your talking about and making suggestions like that can be very damaging and defamatory (not to mention just being a douchebag in general)
I'll never understand why people think it'd somehow be easier to play this stuff slower and that it'll somehow magically sound this natural if it's sped up digitally later. This is literally the most one take unedited turn on camera press record click upload vlog 2009 no fucks given content on youtube. Its not even sponsored or out to prove something 😂 I'm actually mind blown that of all the ways this could be edited and processed to sound and look better, you genuinely jump to the conclusion that you're somehow being cheated and think it's sped up. If you're judging by looks then consider the limitations of the camera capturing fast hand movements. The resolution only goes up to 720p (and probably 30fps). Come on man, I know it's the internet but think a little before you throw accusatory bs out there

Buyer beware! Buy one in a guitar shop, not online! The one I recieved is an absolute P.O.S.!!! The pickups are mounted out of line, the bridge is even further out! The bridge is so far off, there's 1/32nd of an inch to the edge of the neck @ the low E string & 7/32nds of an inch to the edge of the neck from the high E string !!!🤯 The bridge is fitted so far "long" correct intonation can not be achieved ! This is the worst guitar I've ever recieved, a total piece of crap! Apparently they have "no quality control at all", they'll send you any rubbish they made! Total Rubbish !
would agree with this ^ my one had to be modded
What is the name of that guitar?? Goathole??
Goatwhore. The guitarist's name is Sammy Duet and he also was known for Acid Bath before that.
Kudos.. Jackson and Dean have been my worst guitars.. I went PRS 🤷
that's a shame, all my Deans have been great. PRS guitars are nice too
@@DevGohil I've had two high ranged Jacksons and Deans. Bad experiences. I have two PRS guitars that tower above my collection in quality. Honorable mentions are my Peaveys, my Danelectro and my Gretsch.. I'll take my cheap ass Cort and Kramer over my Jackson's that cost a shit load more. I have a Dean 7 string that I enjoy but not as much as a Samick 7 I got shortly after.. I've just always found better guitars than Jackson and Dean in the long run. Personally think they suck
@@P34V3Y7 main thing is, you found what you need for what you do
Jackson is more megadeth-y vs deans Pantera-y vibes

seriously though it's insane how inexpensive it is
@@RetroMusicDan definitely, best V for the cash right now
Unpopular opinion, but just my opinion. Jackson is HELLA over rated, and over priced. Schecter all day! Every day!
I still prefer Dean
@@DevGohil My main issue with Dean, their low end models, have the craftsmanship of a guitar hero controller. While brands like Ibanez, and Schecter, even if you get a $500 model, you won’t go wrong.
@@DevGohil But American, and even some Korean made Deans are wonderful instruments.
@@9hk38f exactly why my deans are all Korean made hahah
@@DevGohil I have a Chinese made Razorback. It makes a great wall decoration. People see it, and assume it’s a high end Razorback. When I tell them it’s basically a toy with pickups, they don’t believe me, and try to convince me it’s worth $1,000!
Because dean guitars are fucking weird ?
All my Deans play better than this Jackson

Now play something melodic
Dude, on my phone it appears you speed up your playing. You're way better than me but why do musicians do this? It's essentially the equivalent of pitch correction on a singers channel. If you can't play it that fast then either play it slower and be happy or don't play it. In my eyes on any channel that's advertising itself for playing ability its a bit fraudulent.
Just my opinion but there you go.
L. O. L.
I have never sped up ANY video
As someone who has seen his videos on this channel and taken guitar lessons from Dev, i can confirm that he actually does play at that speed , he has also given many lessons on this channel about his picking speed and style. Respectfully you have no idea what your talking about and making suggestions like that can be very damaging and defamatory (not to mention just being a douchebag in general)
Are you high? 😂 this video has not been sped up at all
I'll never understand why people think it'd somehow be easier to play this stuff slower and that it'll somehow magically sound this natural if it's sped up digitally later.
This is literally the most one take unedited turn on camera press record click upload vlog 2009 no fucks given content on youtube. Its not even sponsored or out to prove something 😂
I'm actually mind blown that of all the ways this could be edited and processed to sound and look better, you genuinely jump to the conclusion that you're somehow being cheated and think it's sped up.
If you're judging by looks then consider the limitations of the camera capturing fast hand movements. The resolution only goes up to 720p (and probably 30fps).
Come on man, I know it's the internet but think a little before you throw accusatory bs out there
