    Rubin Carter - Was a middleweight boxer who was wrongfully convicted of murder and later released following a petition of habeas corpus after spending almost 20 years in prison. In 1966, police arrested both Carter and friend John Artis for a triple-homicide committed in the Lafayette Bar and Grill in Paterson, New Jersey. Police stopped Carter's car and brought him and Artis, also in the car, to the scene of the crime.

      @@DopeBoysofAtlanta Hi Danni, I trained with him for all his major fights, I also visited him in prison from the day he went in to the day he got out. He never lifted weights. In training camp he duplicated what he did in prison plus all the sparring of course and other training. We did sets of 100 pushups until we hit 1000 with our feet elevated on the ring apron, super setted with sets of 100 ab crunches until we also hit 1000. Ran 6 miles every morning at 5AM up and down hills in Chatham NJ, plenty of heavy bag work, speed bag and rope. He was amazing.

    • @louduva9849
      @louduva9849 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, people say he's guilty because of the overwhelming evidence; he was released because of white guilt - it had nothing to do with evidence.

    • @TainoMantis
      @TainoMantis 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Lou Duva - Carter wasn't a peaceful individual. Even before that murder case, he already had a rap sheet. But the murder case wasn't based upon solid evidence. It was hear-say testimony within an extremely corrupt and violent inner city in New Jersey. And the evidence they did have was shady at best. No fingerprints, no processing for gun powder residue, mismatch of specific ballistic identification, dismissal of recanted witnesses, etc, etc.
      Even if the defendant isn't a "good" person - cases must be processed with evidence as close to undeniable or concrete as possible.

    • @louduva9849
      @louduva9849 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, Carter was a scumbag; that's well known. What else you say is arrant bullshit: there was more than enough evidence to warrant a conviction--in fact he was convicted twice. And nor did the (radical) judge who released him express belief is his innocence, let alone present supporting evidence.
      You assert that certain forms of evidence were missing, but fail to mention (or undermine) the wealth of evidence found and presented. At this point I don't think anyone familiar with the case actually believes Carter was innocent; it's sort of become a 'noble lie' in service of White Guilt.
      Carter got away with murdering three people for same reasons O. J. Simpson got away with murdering two. We know what those reasons are.
      And your last sentence is nauseatingly patronising.

As witnessed in this footage above, this remarkable lad could have quite possibly have gone. gone on to be regarded as, and ranked among the greatest pound for pound fighters in the history of the sport, let alone world champion.
    l auspect it is very possible that at the time the authorities feared the rise of another indomitable and charismatic African American of similar nature, situation, and circumstances as those of Jack Johnson before, and inspiring the African American populace at such a point in time. So fkd up!!!..
    What an incredible atrocity and robbing of life was perpetrated against this amazing. Bob Dylan's song : " The Hurricane " states the exact sentiments and the facts thereof. Just straight up beyond belief what occurred therein...(!!!)

    Look into the case ,alot of it is there to see on the internet ,there was overwhelming evidence he was guilty .
    After watching the movie I became a huge fan of the Hurricane but its just a big lie ,he was a cold mother fucker , a good fighter but a violent human being , he wasn't set up and he was awarded release by a liberal judge but never had his conviction overturned .
    Watching his fights though man this guy could bang .

    • @danielrodgers6278
      @danielrodgers6278 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Funny what u say about him. If this story is true why don't u start with being sentenced to "10" years as an 11 year old while escaping from a "pedophile" - being put in jail and separated from his parents as an 11 year old child - by this still prejudice system - so going to jail at 11 for doing nothing might make one a little angry -

    This is the good shit!
    He may have been a psychopathic murderer, but he was a hell of a boxer; it's very telling that in his day he was considered a bit of a crude slugger but to our eyes today he has quite sophisticated defensive moves and good boxing skill. (The win over Griffith was a fluke, though - like Nunn-Kalambay.)
    EDIT: I forgot haNZAgod did an excellent 'Defensive Slips & Rolls' video on Carter. Worth watching!

    Honestly I'm wondering if he's really a murderer? I mean he lost a lot of flight he 128 and lost 12 like a 70%, my great-uncle was a professional fighter that was about his percentage he actually fought Sugar Ray Robinson, the so-called greatest pound-for-pound fighter ever. But since Hollywood made a movie about this guy and my eyes are open to Hollywood 100% now I'm wondering if it was all propaganda? I could be wrong I mean I'm just wondering here? The point being is to question everything we live in the age of Deceit and deception controlled by a small very small percentage of the population. And that is 100% fact
