Great video HaNZ, Henry one of my all time favorites, what is the name of the song please? Thank you great work as always
Born Yesterday (Instrumental) ~ Rob Dougan
Thank you so much
this is great
Phenomenal physical conditioning, the man never stopped for a second! Armstrong was a miniature Joe Frazier!
Sneaky elbows these guy is dangerous
great video
too amazing and exciting fighter!
In a 10 month span he captured 3 lineal titles, but what people forget is he also fought 14 times besides those great title wins.
Best ever????
Yes definitely n when there was one title a division
@@mattcullors1930 At best he is number 3 all time. Ali n SRR who beat him were better. You seem to forget. It’s not what you win sometimes it’s who did you beat. Who was he beating? I seen pictures of his fight he took alot of damage. Just a few fighters who beat him. Ray Leonard hitman hearns Floyd pernell.
@@mattcullors1930 There were 2 titles per division up to 1983. Less titles are a good thing.
@@surveying482 You seem to forget that the only reason Armstrong fought SRR was because he was broke and Robinson gave him the fight just to help him out because he was one of his idols. He had already 130 fights under his belt and only fought on because of money trouble, so to mention that SRR beat Armstrong is close to meaningless. It's not just who you beat, but when you beat them. Had SRR fought Armstrong in his prime, everyone agrees, the fight would have been close, and the outcome might turn on what weight class the fight was at.
And none of the fighters you mentioned, Leonard, Hearns, Mayweather, or Whitaker, would have been able to beat Armstrong at 126, not even close. I'm not sure if any of them even fought at 126 as professionals. So it's not as simple as you put it.
Also, what fighters dealt him a lot of damage at featherweight and lightweight?
I can just Mickey's voice saying " Don't let him breathe go after him kid" 😂😂😂
Joe Frazier was a bigger version of Henry Armstrong, the original inside fighter.
Looks very similar to Frazier. It's unusual to see that kind of pressure at lighter weights, very talented guy
Armstrong was Frazier’s main inspiration just as Robinson was Ali’s idol.
I wish i could of faced him at 122 he was good he was constant pressure rip to a great fighter
Second only to Ray Robinson in my all time P4P. Armstrong is an absolute legend - few have imitated none have bettered
Armstrong was more accomplished
Armstrong was more versatile, many opponents Armstrong beat would have beaten sugar Ray in upper weight classes
@@ravinandank7809 you do realize SRR beat Armstrong. Armstrong style as relentless as it was is dangerous. Guard down coming forward he was at a disadvantage up against big punchers. Also which ATG boxers was Armstrong beating? SRR n Ali are clear as day top 2 all time. Could Henry beat ray leonard? Timmy hearns big big puncher at welterweight? hagler? Floyd? Pernell?. It’s not what you win it’s who did you beat.
@@surveying482 dude he held titles in 3 divisions at the time when only 5 divisions existed. U wouldn't get those titles by beating tomato cans. Of course he would beat tommy, Leonard, hagler. If they couldn't handle haglers pressure there's no way they could handle armstorngs pressure
@@ravinandank7809 SRR didn’t fight tomato cans he’s fought the best fighters in his prime that nobody has footage of
Top 10 most baddest handshakes of all time
very few material of one of best warriors of all time
One of a long line of great St.Louis fighters. Archie Moore,Sonny Liston,Michael Spinks to name a few.
henry armstrong was beast 💪
BEAST!
I see a LOT of similarities to Roberto Duran, I wonder if Roberto or Arcel used him as a model? Of the 2 I believe Duran to be just a touch better and probably a harder puncher but boy talk about a dream matchup in their primes at 135!
Now that's what I call a phone booth fight
I bet his fight with sugar Ray Robinson was a fight to behold 🔥
Real one.
I dont see anyone replicating his style of boxing. Very weird looking but pressure is real.
Shawn porter
Errol Spence not no porter
@@NotaRickRoll515 Errol spence, not even close. You think Armstrong fights with a high guard? LOL.
Jesus man, this guy would suck to fight, punches are one thing, but the grind man, constantly getting pushed around and drilled on. So exhausting and agonizing just to watch.
goat handshake
Anyone else see a lot of Henry Armstrong in Aaron Pryor? Also, IDK who that white guy was that took some tremendous shots from Armstrong without going down, but he was one tough SOB!! Even landed some great shots of his own!!
Dont know what clip you are talking about, but it might be Barney Ross, whom Henry won the welterweight title. He was a tremendous fighter and it is said Armstrong carried him in their fight
Tremendous 👏
wow, he never let up
hes nice and calm even when hes in range
RELENTLESS!!!!!
Homicide Hank, a miniature version of Joe Frazier
hector Salcido no joe Fraziers a bigger version of Henry Armstrong
I love watching Frazier fight. I think Joe is more effective with his crablike style. He just fought in an era where several all time greats, Ali and Foreman were dominating the heavyweight division.
@@christopherknight3942 henry fought in the ero of sugar ray, greb and many more greats
Were any of Homicide Hanks knockouts recorded? I have never seen him go anybody.
Not that I know of.
haNZAgod Kinda strange considering he had 101 recorded knockouts huh?
I guess so I suppose I've never put too much thought into it before. The film available of Armstrong is in good quality and accurately displays his best and worst qualities so I can't complain.
haNZAgod Yeah, you have a point there.
There is pressure THEN there is ARMSTRONG PRESSURE.
The Sam Eggington of his era.
Il più grande peso leggero di sempre nell'olimpo
Armstrong vs Duran would have been interesting 😀
I can tell kid Austin Schofield watched him , they look similar
they all fought like Duran.
what an IRON CHIN along with everything else.
I would love to see Duran vs Armstrong
Name of song?

What is the name of that song? Does anybody know?

Sorry if I sound dumb, but ... I always wondered ... Why they just don't counter him with uppercuts?
They tried but did not succeed.

Julio César Chávez & Roberto Duran took a lot of moves from Henry
This is where Frazier got his style from
I think this where Spence gets his pressure in fighting technique from
Dempsey roll king. 👑
