    Waldner is amazing because he was never the quickest, nor the most athletic, nor the hardest hitter... and yet, his feel of the ball and the touch is absolutely second to none. Amazing stuff even years after his prime.

      shenqiangshou oh contraire was quite fast you can even see in this video for a great defender like Marcos he was still able to surprise him. And power! They've interviewed a few Chinese that played him including ma lin and he was known for his power as well!!

      That's a misconception cause most people only watched compilations of Waldner's blocks.His forehand loop was very fast and spinny.Kong Lingui and Samsonov are the kind of players who win without having powerful strokes,not Waldner.

      I would rather say, he had it all. Even his topspins were very fast.

    He sped up the ball and he slowed it down, he spun and he punched. It was hard for freitas to get a read on him because he wasn't predictable. That's what a player needs now to beat the Chinese.

      выше уже написали, что в 2009 это было. по Овчарову можно понять, что это было давно, так как он тогда за Боруссию играл

      Tony - Fleyz how is the crowd horrible, they cheered alot.

    • @Onemadtony
      @Onemadtony 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The crowd only cheered for Waldner, regardless even when Freitas made a good play. Freitas get basically no appreciation all game.

    • @reinaldopessoa2603

      That what home crowds do in every sport only cheer for their players.

    • @Onemadtony

      Regardless of home crowd or not, good sports appreciate good play. Beside this tournament was not in Sweden and it was in Germany.

      Not when it close to or is finals. Yes I said home crowd they followed him there. You think a crowd cheering for Giants in Superbowl or Warriors in playoffs of France in world cup would care what the opposing team did no matter how good it was?
