  • Changing the pinion and spur gear on the Maxx today.
    Lowering the gearing a bit, giving it a little more bottom end and a little less top speed

    Might be a bit too much grease. Well done though.

      I was thinking the same thing, so much dirt and dust gets in under those covers and it's supposed to just settle down at the bottom but now it will just stay in the gears.

      @@jeronimo2152 yeah your right, it wasn't the smartest desicion I've ever made...lol
      I'm gonna pull it apart this weekend, and see how bad the grease/dirt cake is...

    I have badlands and there is a lot of play in between I also have the maxx v1 do you think this gearing will help it so it actually catches the gear right away it spins for a solid minute before my wheels start to move

    • @WastedWages402
      @WastedWages402  ปีที่แล้ว

      The gearing helps with keeping it cool and a bit more torquey ,
      but I don't know that kinda sounds like you might have a problem with the cush drive or pinion spur mesh or something?
      It does make it a bit more responsive, but If it spins before it catches I'd think something is up.

    What’s the difference in the 6449r and 6449x spur? Both show xmaxx part but I have the same maxx

    • @WastedWages402
      @WastedWages402  ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I can tell, the 6449R is the slightly wider one " wide face "

    Will u recommended this gearing for on road bashing??..and is it faster then a stock?

    • @WastedWages402
      @WastedWages402  ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly I've never been out on the road with it, I live on a county rd and just do alot of bashing.
      It is slower than stock actually, not alot but it is slower
      I went to proline badlands wich are a little bit bigger, so the higher gearing helps keep the motor/esc cooler

    So with bigger tires on stock it boggs out - If I did this gearing it would stop bogging ?

    • @WastedWages402
      @WastedWages402  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it should, I've got proline badlands and it's much better with 20 54
      A little less top speed more low end power for bashing

    How do you like this gearing?

    • @WastedWages402
      @WastedWages402  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is perfect. Not much slower on the top end, Lots of torque and crazy fast acceleration.
      My yard is all rough, hills, and forest, and I think it's perfect gearing for me
