I put the Traxxas Sledge Shocks on the rear of my Maxx, with 1000cst oil in it, and the D Boots Backflip LP tyres on. It's a complete new truck. Way better handling. Nice video. All the best from Germany

Personally I found those Maxx tyres expand really easily and it makes for good air control but if the rear diff is empty or running very thin silicon the rear tyres diff out under acceleration and expand unevenly making it start drifting to the left or right and will make for uncontrollable wheelies as one wheel expands larger than the other

@@nathan2000100 personally both are very good but they aren't the same type of RC. Traxxas has in-house upgrades if/when needed. Outcast not so much but might not need them unless you're over driving it's capability.
Hi, the TSM is just gyro for steering and it works only when you go forward. At least on my rig it works so. When I want to test the gyro, I always need to pull trigger at lest a little. Anyway, it has no impact on throttle, only on steering.
And the 2@5000 wouldn't be??? just remember the more weight the more harsh it is on everything. Stop thinking runtime and take it as a cool down break for the truck

Turn the multifunction all the way clockwise to 100 for full traction control on pavement. 1/2 way is more for dirt, and all the way off for backflips and ramp jumping. Stock sledgehammer tires are great for flips and off road, but horrible for speed runs... never will handle as well as an arrma kraton or outcast, though. Bet that bulkhead is toast from that tree.. I'm running mine on a max 8 on 6s...

Le sladge hammer da scatola sono scadenti. Ho installato le luise beadlock è stata una rivelazione!! Piu maneggevole,arco di sterzata ridotto ed migliore reazione del servo sterzo ora riesco a fare cose quasi identiche del Granite arrma. Guida controllata e precisa !!grande 😊

On the second pack with my maxx v2 I tried to self right, and it snapped 2 driveshafts and mangled the other 2. I got the metal dogbones in there now, but i haven't tried it again since.
I have two 6,400 ma ivionic packs they're like 3 years old I still charge those suckers up and put them in the infraction and rip around on for us and I get like 35 minutes runtime.....
@@rcguygarage 🤣 I feel ya. I got my maxx v1 to 57 and dialed. Adjust your shock fluid. The stock is like baby oil. Running stock spur 25t saga pinion💨 I've found a little below half way (in the middle) is the sweet spot for me, around 20-30%. Your videos are truly funny as hell and 1 of a kind!
I actually had the worst luck with my V2 metal spur exploded and took forever to get all those shards out then the receiver went bad within three weeks😥. All was fixable all was well 👍

First maxx has smaller tires and heavier battery and speed is the same as outcast and that tells me thast maxx is faster and secondly you dont buy maxx for speed but for bash and stunts. And tree says everything.
An rc should be drivable without any helping hands like tsm all my rcs have the avc off or turned off completely. I like to have control on my rc and not the rc control itself for me. It feels like im not the one driving the truck. I understand tsm for 2 wd cars but on 4wds?
@@EXTREMERC416 It's not exactly designed for speed runs. Put some foams on it, lower it, and it will be more stable but it's still intended for bashing.
When that maxx v2 came out I was so pumped..........now the Arrma 4sv2 are out and I feel like I need them both.....sucks to be strung out on rc's.😁
Just picked up a maxx, first rc car in over 20 years, got the same red and black one. Got back into the hobby a few weeks ago watching videos. Love it

Tsm only works when you tap throttle triggah then wiggle the truck but if it sits for 30 seconds it turn off to not wear out the servo 👍👍

the other one is the 5000 has 60c and the 8000 100c...but wouldnt probably feel any bigger diffrence even with the max8 g2 combo.

Wen you change the multi function knob first drive a little bit than the tsc will work put it on 75 procent and it wil drive so nice
I got 52.8 with the v1 stock does have a wide Maxx and 70wt rear and 50wt front and proline trenches belted on it 3.8

The servo is trash in the regular maxx. Mine can't even handle carpet and grass.
Definitely not suited for on-road runs. Maybe some hoons would make it more stable but it still has a higher cg I think vs the outcast.
