Happy to be a part of the vid and was such an awesome time seeing you Ryan!! Super happy you found such an amazing piece and love the story and editing! 😊🙌
Sweet Video, Glad to have worked on the Thumbnail for such an iconic video that will go down in History. Love the Story Ryan, congrats on the grail. Mort Killed it like always
Wow, had no idea Fire & Ice was that well connected this way. Glad to see a local collector attain one of the main chase pieces in the gaming world. Congrats man, and great video btw!! See you again in the store soon!
I'll never forget waking up Christmas morning when i was about 8 and seeing Santa left me the sega genesis with sonic the hedgehog 2 bundle! One of my fondest memories!
The wildest part of all this is you only have 572 subscribers! That’s crazy. This video had everything in it. Loved it! Can see you getting more subs after this for sure. I’m one of them
This is such an emotional grail achievement unlocked. I’ve watched this video 3x today. Thank you guys so much for documenting and sharing and being such a huge part of the retro community! Amazing amazing.
Cool story. I was the one looking for the manual that you mentioned. Brandon was trying to hook me up with this one but I already had a deal in the works (which is why I was looking for a manual). I found a manual and now I have it 100% CIB! That was a great achievement for me as well since I’m not rich. Thank you for finally clearing up the story.
Amazing video! I wasn't sure what to expect and wow a sealed VGA graded Stadium Events. That's absolutely NUTS!! Congratulations Ryan on such an amazing grail.
The story on this is so incredible. Your passion for it is even more so. Thank you for sharing this with everyone. It doesn’t go unnoticed. Congratulations on that grail piece!
Amazing! Like you said, it's all about the story, and you can't get a stronger story than getting from the guy tasked with destroying them after the recall!
the story of the game, your journey in life and your game store actually out shines the monetary value of the game! it wont have the same (sentimental) value if it was acquired by any other collector. in your hands it is priceless! congrats and many more blessings to you and your game store! :)
A really incredible video. Well done to whomever made and edited this video. And I'm also glad this guy has a copy of Stadium Events. Sounds like it went to the right person.
Stories like these are so fascinating and interesting. A big part of video game collection history right there. It's been so fun to see the store grow everytime I go in. Excellent video! Hope future videos get even more traction!
I seen you on the pixiel podcast and I think you are some humble and genuine man I'm really digging your vibes Ryan if your ever in New Mexico let's grab lunch !
Hey Ryan, I just listened to you on the Pixel Podcast and loved hearing about your backstory and your business talk. You really sound like you've got your s*** together and you can really tell a great story. After listening to you there and seeing this video here, I'm thrilled to see you got Stadium Events back in your life after passing on your 4 carts. Wild! Subbed.
I relate to your family story big time. My dad scrapped some metal from a job and told me and my brother we could buy anything for $50. I got SMB3. It must have been around when it first came out because I remember we had to call around and drive fairly far to get a copy. I don't have the original copy but once I started collecting again that was one boxed item I had to pick up.
This game came in a lot of NES games two years ago at my local game store and my top loader was the NES to test. It still have the video of my NES running this holy Grail of NES games.
How in the hell does content of this quality be on a channel with less than 500 subs. Need to get this channel to 1000 so he can monetize videos like this! Subscribed. Still kicking myself for passing on a loose copy in 2002 for around $1500.
Awesome story and glad to see you posting this ... Everyone is keeping Mort active these days (rumor has it he can be bribed to do just about anything for some zankou chicken)
more common does not mean it's not rare.... Tim Atwood had 3 shipping boxes, 18 sealed copies. 2 sealed from WATA, this sealed copy from VGA. 2 copies this guy previously sold, meaning 23 sealed copies still exist.
The awesome historical pieces in this hobby are what makes the journey so cool. They create great memories and reminders of great people and experiences.
congrats. Hope it makes you happy. I hope to see it some day at a con. I own a shop too and as we watched, I joked to my employee if someone came in with it for trade I don't know what we would do lol. That's another level.
I didn’t realize you had a channel! It was great having dinner with you, mort, Kris and the gang in Phoenix. This story couldn’t have happened to a better guy!
Fire and ice games is an awesome store. I’ve never seen such large quantities of rare games, like handfuls of Chrono Trigger or Earthbound. Picked up a nice Mario Party 4 K mart cover to go with my Super Mario Sunshine K Mart cover on my last visit and can’t wait to find out what I pick up on my next. Rock on guys.
Awesome video! I'm still on the hunt for this game myself! Hoping to find at a garage sale one day! Enjoy your copy in good health and may it bring you lots of happiness.
Awesome video! I've been to your store and it's amazing! I always find what I'm looking for and very friendly staff! Can't wait to continue to grow my collection from buying at your store.

Pat Contri is going to be so mad when he sees this. He insists it wasn’t recalled and is more common then people know (he has one)

The awesome historical pieces in this hobby are what makes the journey so cool. They create great memories and reminders of great people and experiences.
The sealed collecting community needs more great content like this.
Just leave WATA mentions out. Biggest con artists out there. Pump and dump specialists.
