    I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read th-cam.com/users/postUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

    sir
    i think you are mistaken regarding the position of lock nut/outer flange while tightening grinding wheels. In the user manual provided with the grinder it is said to use the raised side of lock nut/outer flange facing towards the disk. in case of cutting disks it is said to do the opposite(page 7). but in this video @4:13 you are suggesting to place it oppositely for grinding wheels. also is it a cutting wheel that you are mounting @4:40.can you please clarify this as i am intending to use the angular grinder on my own without any supervision

    • @science_sir
      @science_sir  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ur absolutely right..there was a mistake on @4:13. It was written wrongly "Depressed center grinding wheel" it should be " Depressed center Cutting wheel". Thanks for your clarification.

    No Safety Gloves????

    • @science_sir
      @science_sir  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      when using a bench grinder you never wear gloves.
      Simple reason is:if the glove gets caught on the grinder its going to pull your hand in. No glove on, would result in a small graze/ cut at most. As you would almost certainly pull your hand away.

    "Always remember level side is the
    bottle of the wheel". I think you mean "label", not
    "level"?
    I want to buy angle grinder for using it mainly for cutting,
    so i will use only cutting wheel. But i am also afraid of accidents. Your guide
    relating to the cutting wheel is not easy to understand. You wrote "Should
    be at 90 degree and perpendicular to work surface.." Most of the common
    man like me with limited knowledge of math will not understand these words: 90
    degree, perpendicular. It is better you show it how to do it. I watched a video of angle grinder accident.
    th-cam.com/video/r0OisyP0lUc/w-d-xo.html
    Some commenter of the video said "when using grinder, spark should fly towards to user side, not away from him. If spark is flying away from the user, wheel is fixed wrongly.. " But how to make sure that wheel is fixed correctly even after label side is down? How to know that we are holding the grinder in correct way?
