I just got one as well and love it! Just wish it had the push start but really love the Nightfall edition, the black rims and trimming. Miss my white VW convertible beetle but its been nice having a little more room and the panoramic sunroof is super nice. Fun ride!!!😃
I have a 2017 Sportage, LX with the popular package. The 2.4 engine has all the power you will ever need and when in sports mode, it actually has a lot of torque. I work for a Kia dealer and yes there will be rebates on the 2021 Sportage but not until next summer. The 2021 Sorento hit showrooms yesterday and there were great rebates but most dealers are out of the 2020 model. That should be your next review - 2021 Sorento.

I just got the Turbo engine of this car (2021) and I literally can’t believe how fast it is! It’s like a race car, I got my first speeding ticket ever and I’ve been driving for 30 years!! 😝
We bought a 2021 Sportage AWD and love it. First week we took it on a 2k trip. Great comfort ( I'm 6'4")and a joy to drive. Can't believe I put up with a 03 Tahoe for 200k.
Good review. 👍 Rear visibility is not good but not a deal killer. Fit and finish are excellent and plenty of standard safety features. Plenty of physical buttons. KIA needs to add their new 8 speed AT to their SUVs, which might up the mileage rating.
We just bought the S Blacked out S AWD. Nice AWD with locking center diff. We got about $6k off msrp. Beware they don’t come with Nav or Sirrus XM. May not have a spare tire either.
I love the Sportage! I agree that it does have a Porsche-ish look. I had a 12' Sportage....was a wonderful SUV. I was jonesing for a Tacoma, so I traded the Kia. I am thinking about buying a new Sportage to add to my fleet!
Always loved the look of the newer Sportages, my wife and I test drove and tried to buy a brand new electric yellow 2011 with 6spd manual but couldn’t get financed...😢
There was a glitch in the paint on the highway a few weeks evidently. While the paint was still wet, somebody rolled over it. To another lane, my lane assist jerked my car to the left. It was a very good thing. I had my hands-on the wheel well.
My girlfriend has a 2021 Sportage LX and it already sounds like the passenger front strut has failed. When hitting a bump it almost sounds like there’s something rattling around in the dashboard. We checked to make sure there was nothing in the door pockets or glove box that may be thumping around. that’s not the case. Are there any complaints about failed struts or recalls
Hi Kathy....I used to have a 2012 kia sportage..it was totaled when I was rear ended..I miss my kia sportage putt putt..I can write a manual for it lol..2012 only needed oil changes tire rotation
You said 2.4L? Is that the Theta family? I ask because they are the ones having all the problems. We have a 2017 and at 60,000 miles it has started using/consuming oil. I 've email Kia twice with no reply, but I've read that 1 qt. per 1000 miles is acceptable, we consumed only 1/2 at 1200 miles. Other than that , no problems. I also have a 2016 Tucson turbo, 43000 miles and not using oil. The 1.6 isn't in the Theta family, the 2.0 and 2.4 are.
6:05 the lane keep assist is better than Ford's right now. I got a sportage and drove a Focus for a couple of hundreds miles through lovely Eurpoe. The Focus is great but the lane keep assist is, IMHO, just better.
That looks nothing like a Porsche Macaroon ! You can't compare it to a CRV. Crv is very jittery and the seats are harder. The steering wheel is a hard plastic, terrible feeling. Sportage is much nicer. We choose it over a Subaru Forester.
I had an 18 Optima, they wanted to buy it back at $4k over blue book. I got a 21 Sportage AWD. A much heavier feel, steering and brakes. Less miles per gallon. Brake light in dash doesn't light, when parking brake applied?? I always wondered why Kia has put an "Oh shit!" handle on the driver's side, on both?? I got the 20yr 200k mile warranty..
New Chevrolet Trailblazer makes the same torque and gets SIX mpg more highway, and you get wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play. True, the 2.4L is a gas guzzler in Kias/Hyundais.

They have prox key and push start available in owner's manual.
