Whenever people claim Revan could beat Luke, I usually laugh. One got stomped in seconds by a massively pre prime Vitiate, the other threw hands with a literal demon.

In the second encounter on Yavin IV, Vitiate dismissed Revan as a threat. In the third encounter, he needed an entire army of Force users to take Vitiate down.

He is certainly, undeniably outmatched in power, yes, but it isn't to the level where Vitiate could just ragdoll him. And due to both luck, the power disparity not being vast, and Vitiate being Godawful at combat, Revan and the rest of his merry band actually came decently close to killing him on several occasions. At one moment the novel literally plainly spells out that the Exile COULD have killed him (despite ACTUALLY being in stomp-level territory, likely several times over) but elected not to. The entire encounter and near-death experience is why Vitiate started the Voice system to begin with.
I think that maybe Mail would fare better against Luke than Zannah would, considering the Rule of Two, which states that the sith would only grow more powerful as time went on, and Mail was a lot later than Zannah, who was Bane’s apprentice. However, one could argue that Mail never reached his full potential after his nigh-fatal fight with Obi-Wan and Zannah’s ancient Sith Sorcery/Magic could take him down. In conclusion, I think that Maul should be moved up from negative difficulty and Zannah should be moved down from low difficulty, because I think Luke would no-diff both of them. Idk just my thoughts
Maul was fully trained by TPM. But one can actually argue how much knowledge Palpatine allowed Maul to obtain? Only 2 Sith in 3000 years betrayed the Rule of Two.. Darth Gravid who would set the Sith back some 500 years and Darth Sidious who purposely undertrained all his apprentices so they could never overthrow him.

Doing something like cutting yourself off from the force would render you harmless to the effects of forc drain as mention when Marr kills the Jedi council right before they sever Surik's connection. Surik was unique because like Sion and Nihilus, she learned force drain as well which helps. The primary strategy is to last longer than he can drain, which is what happened on the Ravenger or learn to render yourself immune like Anakin. If he were cannon the answer would be reversed as Luke never leaned to counter Force drain as we know, however Anakin prior to his encounter against the Dark Reaper, and we all know there's no way Palpatine would not learn how to protect himself against such an attack. I appreciate the amount of digging I had to do provide a response, maybe they'll flesh out the ability more and make him canon so we can see how his drain really works.

@@trevinodude Even if the idea is entertained that DE Luke won the saber duel completely legitimately, it doesn't really overly matter; the entire point of that fight, and of Dark Empire, as a series, as a whole, is that NONE of them, individually, could beat Palpatine. It always had to be a teamup; in Dark Empire I's case, after being disarmed, Sidious was channeling enough Force power to flash vaporize large portions of an entire New Republic fleet and seriously threaten to destroy the entire moon below, and while doing that, was still able to focus enough power in the control room to begin to channel telekinesis and Force lightning that would have resulted in Luke being killed if he even tried getting close. The Force power gap was still gargantuan between them.

I don’t believe any of these are “neg diff” because some of these are very capable duelists, and therefore not immediately disposable by Luke, even though he is very powerful. It isn’t like he’ll snap their necks in half a second, he isn’t like that. 😂 That said, they are low diff, as they aren’t difficult for Luke, you just have to remember that he isn’t a killer, nor would he immediately force push someone into oblivion.

When Palpatine dueled Savage Oppress and Maul, there were several instances in which Savage had a 1-1 with Palpatine, and wasn’t immediately killed. Why? Because we see as a common trend in duels that the Force isn’t a tool that people immediately rely upon. Why? Maybe for plot, who knows, but we can use them as a general guideline for how two characters might be able to fight, and Luke simply wouldn’t just instant dispatch someone.

The only reason it even took place at all was because he decided it would, and it ended the moment he wanted it to, as well. And in that light...well, yes, he does 'neg diff' (God, I puke in mouth a little every time) basically everybody here bar DE Sidious, whether in duelling or the Force. Being extremely skilled is meaningless relative to the sheer disparity in Force augmentation.

Whenever people claim Revan could beat Luke, I usually laugh. One got stomped in seconds by a massively pre prime Vitiate, the other threw hands with a literal demon.

In the second encounter on Yavin IV, Vitiate dismissed Revan as a threat.
In the third encounter, he needed an entire army of Force users to take Vitiate down.

He is certainly, undeniably outmatched in power, yes, but it isn't to the level where Vitiate could just ragdoll him. And due to both luck, the power disparity not being vast, and Vitiate being Godawful at combat, Revan and the rest of his merry band actually came decently close to killing him on several occasions. At one moment the novel literally plainly spells out that the Exile COULD have killed him (despite ACTUALLY being in stomp-level territory, likely several times over) but elected not to. The entire encounter and near-death experience is why Vitiate started the Voice system to begin with.

I think that maybe Mail would fare better against Luke than Zannah would, considering the Rule of Two, which states that the sith would only grow more powerful as time went on, and Mail was a lot later than Zannah, who was Bane’s apprentice. However, one could argue that Mail never reached his full potential after his nigh-fatal fight with Obi-Wan and Zannah’s ancient Sith Sorcery/Magic could take him down. In conclusion, I think that Maul should be moved up from negative difficulty and Zannah should be moved down from low difficulty, because I think Luke would no-diff both of them. Idk just my thoughts

Only 2 Sith in 3000 years betrayed the Rule of Two.. Darth Gravid who would set the Sith back some 500 years and Darth Sidious who purposely undertrained all his apprentices so they could never overthrow him.

In some Media Maul was meant to be a true Sith Successor to Sidious, in others he was just an assassin that was to be made a pawn
Count Dooku on the other hand was trained to be powerful since he was needed to be but he also wasn’t a true successor after all he was older than Palpatine and wouldn’t ever be capable of surpassing him alone, but he was a failsafe/backup incase Anakin was too weak and he and Sidious would rule the empire together
Anakin was always endgame material and would have surpassed Sidious/DID(in some media tho personally i dislike that) during the fight in Mustafar and after he became a ghost of his former self he never had the drive to truly surpass Sidious and was handicapped by needing to relearn the basics and a new style to fit his bulky form

@@Cooperace44 could luke resist it? No one else ever could. The only reason meetra surik could deaveat nihilus is because she was another wound just like him so she was unique. She was the only actual counter to nihilus. I’m not aware of anything that states Luke could counter someone that counters all life that relies on the force.
@@kirkvanallen5202 We're talking legends here. The force wielders at this point (Luke, Sidious, Vader, etc.) were far stronger and smarter than Nilhilus. Doing something like cutting yourself off from the force would render you harmless to the effects of forc drain as mention when Marr kills the Jedi council right before they sever Surik's connection. Surik was unique because like Sion and Nihilus, she learned force drain as well which helps. The primary strategy is to last longer than he can drain, which is what happened on the Ravenger or learn to render yourself immune like Anakin. If he were cannon the answer would be reversed as Luke never leaned to counter Force drain as we know, however Anakin prior to his encounter against the Dark Reaper, and we all know there's no way Palpatine would not learn how to protect himself against such an attack. I appreciate the amount of digging I had to do provide a response, maybe they'll flesh out the ability more and make him canon so we can see how his drain really works.

He can and did ragdoll Caedus on several occasions (or, in, ugh, modern Internet parlance, 'neg diff') in LotF, though, so I fail to see the 'mid diff' aspect.
Also, no, Luke didn't beat Abeloth via Oneness. He actually lost that fight wherein he started glowing and going super Saiyan and such, I believe, because Abeloth is hilariously bullshit.

@@trevinodude Even if the idea is entertained that DE Luke won the saber duel completely legitimately, it doesn't really overly matter; the entire point of that fight, and of Dark Empire, as a series, as a whole, is that NONE of them, individually, could beat Palpatine. It always had to be a teamup; in Dark Empire I's case, after being disarmed, Sidious was channeling enough Force power to flash vaporize large portions of an entire New Republic fleet and seriously threaten to destroy the entire moon below, and while doing that, was still able to focus enough power in the control room to begin to channel telekinesis and Force lightning that would have resulted in Luke being killed if he even tried getting close. The Force power gap was still gargantuan between them.

Even at his most fantastical, ala the Unifying Force, or the finale of Dark Nest, or some of his fights against Abeloth, he simply just isn't really cohesively presented as somebody that can stomp the most powerful mortal Dark Side user to ever exist. I don’t believe any of these are “neg diff” because some of these are very capable duelists, and therefore not immediately disposable by Luke, even though he is very powerful. It isn’t like he’ll snap their necks in half a second, he isn’t like that. 😂
That said, they are low diff, as they aren’t difficult for Luke, you just have to remember that he isn’t a killer, nor would he immediately force push someone into oblivion.

When Palpatine dueled Savage Oppress and Maul, there were several instances in which Savage had a 1-1 with Palpatine, and wasn’t immediately killed. Why?
Because we see as a common trend in duels that the Force isn’t a tool that people immediately rely upon. Why? Maybe for plot, who knows, but we can use them as a general guideline for how two characters might be able to fight, and Luke simply wouldn’t just instant dispatch someone.

The only reason it even took place at all was because he decided it would, and it ended the moment he wanted it to, as well.
In general, using Sith vs other people as an example of Force abuse not being a thing is silly, silly stuff, given there are very comparatively few examples of Dark Side Users fighting muggles for precisely the reason that Force abuse (which, unlike the Jedi, they ARE willing to use and abuse as they see fit) means the fight is inherently rigged irrevocably in their favour (and thus, not very interesting for audiences other than as power fantasy or power demonstration stuff narratively), and Dark Side users vs other Force users doesn't work because Force users can obviously block and cancel out each other's telekinesis and telepathy and such, leaving duelling as being the 'meta'.
Regardless, while you are technically correct in that Luke would probably be written to struggle at least somewhat with almost all of these people, simply because that's both, A, how he is almost always written, and B, that's how his character is almost always written (to hold back always, I.E.), usually with versus shit, and especially vapid garbage like these 'videos', the characters in question are assumed to be either bloodlusted, or to be otherwise trying to go for the kill as optimally and quickly as possible, whilst still being in character, and Luke has demonstrated a full willingness to go immediately for the kill if the context is right, although rare. And in that light...well, yes, he does 'neg diff' (God, I puke in mouth a little every time) basically everybody here bar DE Sidious, whether in duelling or the Force. Being extremely skilled is meaningless relative to the sheer disparity in Force augmentation.

Abeloth was also not fully formed when Luke killed her, and since he did not kill her with the Blade of Mortis, she could not be permanently killed. Even troopers got an order to not kill Luke nor his friends, Vader never wanted to kill his son but together defeat Palpatine. The most powerful jedi master were losing and getting killed by Vader without even his lightsaber.
