I’ve always found it super cool that speedsters can move their hands at certain frequencies to the point that they can disintegrate and destroy things simply by moving their hands at that things harmonious frequency to do so
Don’t forget that a lot of them (especially in the CW’s Th Flash) seem to be able to move even just parts of their body so fast that they can phase through objects, including human bodies to attack someone’s heart directly. Very insanely powerful, as well as useful for getting around.
@@turzillaYes it does....did you read the entire thing. Speed includes vibration. Vibrating at the frequency of gaseous air allows speedsters to phase through solids.
@@ralphcaluag2403 that is the explanation that the flash has but it not actually based in science. solid objects cannot phase through other solid objects without quantum tunneling, which is something based on chance that happens at the subatomic level
The Flash vibrates fast enough to use every quantum tunneling of his body simultaneously or pass between the electrons' orbits while they aren't there though... he should break the other solids apart by doing that, but the speedforce bypasses a lot of laws of physics so...
One super power you forgot was super patience. Even though things get done almost instantly from our perspective, the speedster still has to actually do everything that they make happen by themselves. And because their mind is assumably moving at the same rate as their body so that they can keep up with themselves, it would feel to the speedster to take just as much time as it would feel like for a normal person if they were to do it. So if a speedster where to read an entire library, it may be done in a few seconds from our perspective, but to the speedster, they still had to actually read all of those books.
Perhaps they don’t get bored because their scale of time remains the same. A second to speedster may remain the same regardless of whether they are using their powers or not. What we see as the audience is time slowing down for a speedster, they may also see it that way but what you have to remember is that they are not slowing down time, time is still passing at the exact same rate. What is happening is that they are processing information at an extremely fast rate. This is just my theory as to why speedster don’t go insane doing stuff like running around the entire planet or, as you mentioned, reading an entire library.
@voloso time itself may not be slowing down, but they are still experiencing everything they are doing the same as they would with no powers, it's just happening at a faster rate. That's more my point, to us it seems like it's just, BAM, done. But they still have to do all the work. Would reading an entire dictionary really be any less tedious just because you can do it faster? For me, it's generally less about the time something boring takes to do and more about the fact that I have to do it at all.
@@Sciguy95 I understand that. I was simply coming up with my own theory as to how speedsters don’t get extremely bored with tasks like that. If speedsters experience a second as a second regardless of how fast their brains are processing information then it would explain how speedsters can stick to a singular task for such a long time.
@voloso I'm just discussing. If they experience a second the same way we do though how could they possibly keep up with themselves? Also I'm not necessarily disagreeing about how they experience the flow of time, but like I said, they would still have to experience all the work they do, so when doing exceptionally tedious tasks they would need exceptional patience, regardless of how they experience the flow of time.
Pietro wasn't dumb he was experimented on(which effected his brain) so all jokes aside he was super fast when it came to thinking. This means no offense I just like explaining what I'm thinking
The actual power name for the "Super Intelligence" that all Speedsters have is actually called "Superhuman Perception". Meaning they can perceive things faster than most beings due to their enhanced speed. Edit: And because it's not actually "Enhanced Intellect" they aren't smarter because of it. They still have a normal intellect but they can think longer, and use an almost infinite amount of time to come up with plans, or figure out what the correct thing to do in a situation is.
They makes them even more OP. They could speed up their mind to super speed without moving physically, and put everything around them in slo-mo at will. In a fight, that'd make your opponent seem like 10x slower. Flash has an ability like this, but he's able to bring other people in the slo-mo with him, so they will have the same perception and speed as him temporarily.
People always ask “Why doesn’t Flash just beat all his rouges in an instant instead of holding back and only going like 200mph” it because Flash, just like his rogues, just does it because he’s addicted to the thrill and the danger. If the rouges were to see him move at light speed and then realize that he’s holding back they’d probably be scared and stop. They’re the only ones who go out of their way to challenge Flash and he loves it
@@Furkward something he wouldn’t do intentionally, but Barry loves just saving people. He probably would’ve been a cop even if his mothers didn’t die that night.
Oddly enough they touched on the speed resistant anatomy in Marvel Ruin, which is essentially a Murphy's law level of logic applied to heros powers. Quicksilver, the first time he ever used his powers, ran about a foot at super speed and all his limbs flew off, rendering him a quadruple amputee. Very gruesome.
you forgot phasing where a Speedster moves his molecules so fast that he can go through a wall or any solid object like handcuffs and also ripp somebody s heart with their hand
Imagine having the ability to read at super speed but have really poor reading comprehension so you just have to read it over and over. “Hey did you read the book for class today?” “Yea like a million times but I still don’t get it 🙄”
I could just see Sonic The Hedgehog _having the ability_ to read it thousands of times in less than a minute, but not _having the patience_ to sit through it more than 4 or 5. 😆
Quicksilver ability to run super fast and still listen to music while it at normal pace 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Also thanks for the 3.5k like guys and girls never thought this would Be seen 😂😂😂😂😂

@@pietrocatalano4285 it pretty impressive and really when they played time in a bottle I was just laughing the whole time how he gave a security guy a wedgie and used the inertia he built to send two guards flying and made another guard hit himself 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Ethan Wilde ya i know but it's still possible to do it without, another example is those Traxxas rc cars that can drive over water, if they move to slow or aren't going fast enough when they hit the water they sink but if they go fast enough thay can hydroplane.
If anyone is curious, you'd have to run ~70 mph to run on water. Which is perfectly achievable by any speedster. But, I'm curious if other issues would arise moving "lightning fast" on water. Either way, it's possible.
I think you forgot one last thing. Being able to stop or slow down time. Because we've seen a speedster run so fast time literally stops or slows down. Don't know if that counts but just felt the need to add it. Awesome video btw
Nope that’s on their perspective like for example turn on a ceiling fan and try to focus on one blade, depending on how good your hand-eye coordination is that one blade may spin a little slower enough to see it.
Man people are so dumb. How would a speedster slow down time for EVERYONE without actually having time manipulation abilties? The reason why everything seems to stop in the tv series/movies you watch when a speedster is moving fast IS BECAUSE THE MOVIE MAKER WANTS YOU TO SEE WHAT THE CHARACTER IS DOING. other wise every speedster movie/series would look like those compilation videos of cut scenes from fighting games wherein all the action is cut out because the fights would be too fast for your brain to perceive.
Actually with the fire punches and fire trails etc. they actually explain why speedsters in the dc universe don’t have this, the speedforce creates a barrier basically or shield that shields them from friction in the air and other stuff like that so they won’t catch them or anyone else on fire
@@AwesomePyro Yep, but only true for speedsters that use the speed force. Quicksilver is millions of times slower, but significantly stronger than the DC speedsters because he has to be durable to survive. Which is all the more reason a bullet shouldn’t have killed him
I think super breath is also an extra power they have. Cuz being able to run so fast for so long without feeling like death is waiting for you right at the next corner is not easy lmao
Anyone remember the CW Season 4 suit with the “HUD”? It was technically a windshield for his eyes, they could’ve made the same for his mouth with really tiny holes in them for ventilation.
The facts that they are durable toward air condense pressure and friction. But they cannot control a force that come toward them but can reacted to it like all speedster does. Means, your fast but if your human in hide your same Deadpool that been shot in the brain.
Flash suit is not to protect him from burning but to protect what he's wearing, since the speed force protects him and anybody else while he's running.
@@TheThursty100 why would it protect his clothes- 😭 The lightning around him is the speed force protecting his BODY, that’s why when he touches someone the lightning goes around them too, but it doesn’t protect their clothes, only the body.

What about the infinite mass punch? When you move close enough to light speed your mass becomes infinite and if put into a punch... well we’ve seen the damage flash can do with it. My favorite use of it is when the league is fighting the hyper clan and wally uses it on züm.

I have a speedster too by the name X press (Xavier Cormac) can run in the speed of sound, and is able to slow down objects while the rest are moving at their natural speed e.g can slow down a car crash scene whilst everything is moving originally, and (2) can release kinetic energy from his body causing explosion
Mine is a speedster and a time manipulator too, She increases her speed by accelerating time and to prevent her from crashing, her reaction time increases aswell.
0:18 ok that part is to my knowledge totally fine and accurate if you fall with great speed into water it would feel like hitting cement and speedster move their legs so fast thats its like walking on a road
I don’t know why everyone forgets that the speed force stops the flash from turning the air around him on fire, and his skin from falling of when he runs and basically every disadvantage you have from being fast
One way you could explain a speedster not being destroyed by the sheer force of their running without saying that they are invulnerable (for story's sake) is that their muscles are able to regenerate and heal before the damage gets too bad
Another example of flight with speed is Sanji's skywalk in one piece were he kicks the air making tiny sonicbooms under his feet letting him climb up in the sky.
About quicksilver listenüng to music: Similar to listening people speak at a normal speed. He is probably used to things not moving as fast as him. In that scene, we move at the same speed he does but we don't hear the music at the same speed( because it wouldn't be as pleasing to hear it as he does). So what I'm saying is imo music is at its normal speed, he is used hearing it in slowmo and doesn't find it disturbing, if you think about it everything is on slowmo to him all the time
“You can read an entire library” “You should be able to retain that information” Those two don’t necessarily have to be true at the same time. In fact, a speedster would give up reading an entire library faster than anyone else. Whereas maybe a typical person would start reading about something they don’t understand and give up in maybe a couple of hours whereas the speedster would give up in a fraction of a second.
@@DJZander303 Unless the speed force also gives a proportional boost in attention span, I find it very unlikely that a speedster could read a book cover to cover if they don't find the book particularly interesting.

Some other powers they might have: - Super healing (Instead of months to heal broken bones it might take hours or even minutes) - Super spit (Imagine mini water bullets traveling at superspeed. They could probably bring some seeds with them too to become a high speed machine gun. Even seeds traveling at km/s could be lethal) - Fire extinguishers (with enough spit they could probably put out fires. Even with large flames by spitting on it a couple million times) - Human heat saws (moving their hand back and forth fast enough could make their hand into a heat saw this will let them cut through most materials even fragile ones such as glass) - Extreme Climate/ Temprature Resistance (Speedsters could run on molten lava since contact only lasts for less miliseconds preventing enough heat for transfering to them. Though perlonged exposure to heat will eventually raise the temprature. On cold climates, the heat from their bodies moving at extreme speeds prevents their body temprature from going down) - Increased Metabolism (Even if a speedster spent a whole year being lazy and did nothing but gain weight they could work off all that fat in a gym or just by running around for a few minutes) - Pain resistance (depending on how their powers work they could get hit and not feel then pain, cause the pain signal from their nerves haven't reached the brain yet so its like the injury is still catching up. This is how the reverse flash survived in the flashpoint paradox as his body hasn't caught up with him being dead, even though he has a hole in his head. Though it only delayed his death not prevent it) - Super Muscle Control (The Flash used this trick once on an alternate version of Batman by beating his heart so fast that he actually stopped his own heart tricking that version of Batman to release him and escape) - Precognition (barely, they see the world in slow motion and could probably predict what will happen next within the next few moments. It would be impossible to beat them in rock-paper-scissors)
It wouldn't be precognition, it would just be perception. You perceive things as moving slower, so if you see someone choosing rock, you can switch to paper at the last second since you can both see that fast and move that fast. Pain resistance, no. The brain tells the entire body what to do. If Reverse has a hole in his head how is his brain telling his body what to do if his brain is already damaged? That doesn't make any sense. There's nothing in his brain to create and generate the signals, so this actually wouldn't work at all. It's an interesting concept, but it falls incredibly short.

@@uskjabjrenfsvj4421 I'm not thinking about the comic (haven't read it, I'm a noob to the superhero genre), I'm thinking about physics. The speed above which forward acceleration exceeds the Earth's gravitational pull- ie. Escape Velocity- is Mach 32.66. Unless a speedster has a secondary power that allows them to not go flying off into space when above Escape Velocity, they would need to stay below Mach 32.66, or need a top speed of less than Mach 32.66. Bart having apparently "broken the gravity barrier" heavily implies he was going faster than Mach 32.66.
I feel obligated to point out that most people prefer to ignore the fact that N52 exists, and thus tend to treat it as less canon than unpopular fanon.
4:17 in justice society ww2 they actually show the speedsters doing that......I thought it was very interesting how they would go to punch them stop then the the air would bend towards them and they would get knocked back on there asses..... speedsters are O.P as hell
If a speedster could exist I would speculate that nearly everything they would interact with would break apart. Going from a stand still to an incredible speed would put so much added pressure on just about anything. For example if you were to hold a straight piece of copper wire in your hand and then throw your hand forward the wire would bend.
This is why I like super speed so much because it comes with so much other stuff Way better than the other basic abilities like flight, super strength, and invisibility
Speedsters are way too overpowered thank goodness they’re nerfed cause if they only needed to eat like a normal person there’s no hope if any speedster turns evil
Meanwhile instead of super intelligence Dash: fails in school and needs help from parents Quicksilver (marvel) rather catch bullets with his body than think of an alternative Quicksilver (Xmen) wastes life on videogames in basement and by all accounts, a dropout
To be fair for Dash and the Xmen Quicksilver, they are evidently both extremely bored and have nothing in their life that really lets them make use of their abilities. Boredom and lack of satisfaction with life is nasty.
I think I remember an episode of The Flash or another form of media where Barry Allen explained that he can read and learn super fast but the downside is that he can’t retain the info forever.
I always liked the idea of getting to do anything at what feels like a leisurely pace, completing tasks that need hours even days, while all around, only precieve seconds.. or at least minutes go by. Though this relied heavily on the ability to bend laws of time space and physics, to avoid exploding myself and the surrounding environment, in the process. This of course would include the, "reading a full library"...in a matter of minutes or even seconds..without turning it into paper dust..about to burst into flames -or explode outright.
3:05 objection, sorta Even with time manipulation you'd still have super strength. It's just that it doesn't appear to be super strength from the perspective of the superhero but it still remains super strength from the observer. If you can make a punch break the sound barrier you cen exert a superhuman amount of force with a punch.
Actually, running on water is scientifically possible with enough speed. It takes quite a lot of speed, much more than what a human is capable of, but there's actually an animal designed specifically to be able to do it.
Well, you wouldn't just be invulnerable, but you would be untouchable, the only one who could hit you would be another speedster, but if you start your power a second before your enemy you would have an infinity amount of time to hit the other speedster before he activate his ability
I remember an episode of the 1960s series Wild Wild West with Robert Conrad, where there was a fomula that gave superspeed for a few minutes, but they had to be carefull of friction. At the end the bad guy burned to ash (they did not show the actual burning of the body just a flame).
Just a note on the "Super-Intelligence" power concept for speedsters. You can overclock a computer to work at the speed of light but if the Operating system is buggy then all you have is a computer making the same mistakes as at regular speed... but faster. Also just because you can can speed-read the library of congress doesn't mean you would permanently retain that information. Think of how well you genuinely remember all those "Mandatory Reading Assignments" from literary classes from high school and you get an idea that In the end all you might wind up remembering are bullet-points and the basic outlines or concepts.
Watching 'The Boys', the toughness one is something that occurred to me. After all, when A-Train ran through Robin, she was demolished but he was just fine.
One example of a speedster without a lot of these extra unspoken powers is the guy from "If you're armed and at the Glenmont Metro, please shoot me." It's a fascinating story that goes over what the experience of having your perception slowed down would feel like, and, spoiler alert, it's not fun.

The actual power name for the "Super Intelligence" that all Speedsters have is actually called "Superhuman Perception". Meaning they can perceive things faster than most beings due to their enhanced speed.
Edit:
And because it's not actually "Enhanced Intellect" they aren't smarter because of it.
Which is also the reason why Dash still has the brain of a teenager despite his brain moving as fast as his body.

If the rouges were to see him move at light speed and then realize that he’s holding back they’d probably be scared and stop. How would a speedster slow down time for EVERYONE without actually having time manipulation abilties?

Some other powers they might have:
- Super healing (Instead of months to heal broken bones it might take hours or even minutes)
- Super spit (Imagine mini water bullets traveling at superspeed. They could probably bring some seeds with them too to become a high speed machine gun. Even seeds traveling at km/s could be lethal)
- Fire extinguishers (with enough spit they could probably put out fires. Even with large flames by spitting on it a couple million times)
- Human heat saws (moving their hand back and forth fast enough could make their hand into a heat saw this will let them cut through most materials even fragile ones such as glass)
- Extreme Climate/ Temprature Resistance (Speedsters could run on molten lava since contact only lasts for less miliseconds preventing enough heat for transfering to them. Though perlonged exposure to heat will eventually raise the temprature. On cold climates, the heat from their bodies moving at extreme speeds prevents their body temprature from going down)
- Increased Metabolism (Even if a speedster spent a whole year being lazy and did nothing but gain weight they could work off all that fat in a gym or just by running around for a few minutes)
- Pain resistance (depending on how their powers work they could get hit and not feel then pain, cause the pain signal from their nerves haven't reached the brain yet so its like the injury is still catching up. This is how the reverse flash survived in the flashpoint paradox as his body hasn't caught up with him being dead, even though he has a hole in his head. Though it only delayed his death not prevent it)
- Super Muscle Control (The Flash used this trick once on an alternate version of Batman by beating his heart so fast that he actually stopped his own heart tricking that version of Batman to release him and escape)
- Precognition (barely, they see the world in slow motion and could probably predict what will happen next within the next few moments. It would be impossible to beat them in rock-paper-scissors)
About the increased metabolism thing, DC Speedsters have to eat 10,000 calories a day on average.
Why did you have to mention spit
It wouldn't be precognition, it would just be perception. You perceive things as moving slower, so if you see someone choosing rock, you can switch to paper at the last second since you can both see that fast and move that fast.
Pain resistance, no. The brain tells the entire body what to do. If Reverse has a hole in his head how is his brain telling his body what to do if his brain is already damaged? That doesn't make any sense. There's nothing in his brain to create and generate the signals, so this actually wouldn't work at all. It's an interesting concept, but it falls incredibly short.
umm, i think you missed a very important thing: in order to spit like that you wouldn't need inhuman speed, you would rather need an inhumanly strong jaw
