തേങ്ങ അരച്ച മീൻ കറി / Easy Fish curry with coconut( Kerala style)
Ingredients list
----------------------
Ayala /Mackerel (Any fish you can take )- 1/2 kg
Grated Coconut - 1.5 cup (1 cup is 250 ml )
Kudampuli ( kokum ) - 3 pieces ( You can use Tamarind also ( A gooseberry sized)
1/4 glass water to soak kokum ( kudampuli )
Shallots - 3 to 4
Green chilli - 3 to 4
according to your spice level
Red chilli powder - 3 tsp ( According to your spice level )
I have added 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder also. That is optional
Turmeric powder - less than 1/2 tsp
fenugreek powder - less than 1/4 tsp ( Do not add more than this )
( You can use fenu greek seeds also )
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
water - 2 glass
( 1/2 glass for grinding coconut +1.5 glass for gravy )
salt required
For seasoning - 1.5 tbsp coconut oil
Shallots - 4
Curry leaves
