DANNER BOOTS RULE! I was issued two pair years ago when I was in the Marine Corps and they lasted for two decades. Danners will cost you, but once you put on a pair on your feet you will instantly understand.
i'm an ex Coldstream guard and i bought some of these for a tour of northern ireland in 1992....still got em,awesome boot i now wear them on my harley....buy some!!!!
I'm getting the black version for the police academy here in Florida. I had the desert ones when I was in the army lol. Good review my friend, I'm sold 👍
I went to the Danner outlet store at the factory in Portland to get my first pair of logging boots. Best money I ever spent. Superb quality. When your working a portable mill for ten hours a day in the soaking rain and your feet are still dry at the end of the day, YOU KNOW your have a good pair of boots. Cannot recommend them highly enough if you need to get through the day without being killed by aching wet feet. My wife used to hate my Danners, said they were ‘big ugly things’ and threw them out one day ! Words were said that cannot be repeated here.
Great review ! I just received my danner east ridge for hunting and they feel so bloomin comfy. One thing is make sure you get the right size (I ordered 1 size larger in the end) as you will have to wait longer with the exchange. Danner were great throughout the process and it was all worth it . A ripper company to deal with.
The high tongue helps in waterproofing the boot. A tongue that is only attached near the bottom doesn't make a waterproof seal no matter how tightly you tie the boot. Also, the Desert Acadia has a Vibram Sierra sole, while the black version has a Vibram Kletterlift sole I believe...
Thanks for the info, I am actually finding the soles on the desert pair are outlasting the soles on my black pair… so maybe the different soles from what you said are the reason…
Danner is/always has been AMAZING when it comes to customer service and the durability of their boots. Their staff stand by them. My step-father is a police officer and I am going into the cadet program. He has had his Acadias for 10 years and they've been resoled three times and says they're still comfortable. I am going to the Danner Factory in Portland, OR on Thursday to check out how they fit on my feet. I wear sizes 14-15 and haven't had any luck finding comfortable boots. My step-father and all the guys in the department stand by them so I will give them a shot. Excellent review.
I wore these 20 years ago in law enforcement and until then i had no idea what good boots actually were. Maybe i still don't know but I think they're great
Great review. I have had a pair of the black ones for over 20 years now and I will be sending them back to Danner to have them re-soled. I was going to get a pair of the dessert model but they seem to be a bit heavier so I did not buy them.
Had the Gortex leather upper Arcadia boots, very high quality, leather that soft they hardly had to be worn in, that light It felt like I was wearing trainers, beleve mine were insulated because I remember them having i white coloured lining underneath the gortex layer, for anyone in the Forces go for the non-insulated version, nice review have a good day mate
Had a pair of these boots very comfortable, really liked them but if you have to run or walk long distances in these boots I found these boots to be too hot and make your feet sweat leaving you wet from the inside out

I know this an old video but still informative.I just scored a pair of black ones brand new off Poshmark for 100 bucks.
I work on concrete all day at general motors 10 hrs a day and I have had my danner arcadia 13 yrs and the only thing wrong is the soles are bald I am getting them recrafted for 285 bucks I hope to get another 13 yrs
lucky you have the money but imho buying a new one once the soles wear out is a waste. the boots made in the usa, stitch down construction and, and being recraftable is BIG.if you take care of the leather, 2-3 recraft and 6-10 resoles for 10-20years doesnt seem crazy too me
Great review! I've been considering investing in some Danner boots and was wondering if you could tell me how you feel the sizing runs in both length and width/comfort of toe box? I don't have very wide feet, but I am on my feet for 10-12 hours a day and like the feeling of my toes being able to splay apart and not be crowded. Thanks for any feedback. Giff
How long did you wear those black leather ones? It doesn't seem like any cracks/creases in the leather came through. Is that true or did you not wear those as long.
Thanks, great video. I like the Goodyear in outsole. And like same, Danner Acadia black, ROCKY PORTLAND . Bates DuraShocks/Defender, I suspect, Bates Durashock, Will fall off after a long time. I don't know.
You ran 10K in them fresh out of the box? Color me slightly dubious. I do like the look of the black boots though. Thinking of an insulated pair for the fall and winter months.
Yes I did, you will see when you get a pair of how comfortable they are... I don't do BS and if these boots blistered me in any way I would tell it how it is on this review.
Hmmm. They just don't look like the leather would be that soft to allow for that kind of activity out of the box. They must have fit your foot very well! I am heading over to our local boot store this morning to give them, and the 6" Patrol boot a look. Thanks for the reply!
Just be careful, Danner boots that are made in the US, have the flag on the side as pictured here on this review, the 'off-shore' made ones don't and I don't find them comfortable to slip on and simply run in like the Acadia
Nice and informative review, thank you. What about sizing and fit? Do they fit true to the size or what? Does black and desert both same size? I have Acadia HOT and looking to buy black version, shell I go same size?
i have the same pair of black one i just got them today new i love them thanks for the great vids and i made a vid of the danners not as good as yours lol
Aussies just don't appreciate good quality boots (maybe besides rm williams). There are so many good quality outdoor, Goodyear/stitchdown boots. I hate seeing guys wearing those bulky lace up construction boots for hiking etc
I own 3 pairs of Danner USA boots. I have one pair of USMC RAT GTX, one pair of USMC RAT hot weather, one pair of Quarry 8" black. I love these boots and am also looking into getting a pair of the black 8" Acadias. My girlfriend is an Aussie too! :D Rock on mate!!! Thanks mate, this is one of my first reviews, but I still wear mine to this day, just great boots...
How did the danners hold up during running? Did you feel to heavy when running?
I’ve got 2 pairs of the tan ones I love them, a bit heavy but very comfortable and durable they haven’t worn a bit in 2 years.

Excellent review.
Thanks mate, yes this was one of my first reviews on my channel, I still wear these boots to this day, they are certainly comfortable...
Well, it's a damn good review. Have you gotten them resoled or re-crafted?
No mate as I wear my desert ones in the bush and they are just as good as they were in this review, so I'm really happy with them...
Very nice! I purchased my Acadias today and they're the most comfortable boot I have owned. Thanks for the solid review again!
Sure no problem
I wore these 20 years ago in law enforcement and until then i had no idea what good boots actually were. Maybe i still don't know but I think they're great
Thanks for posting this, it really helps sell them with their high price point.

Just ordered a pair for patrol. I'm super stoked!!!!! 👮🏾♂️
How did the boots hold up? We’re they comfortable all day?
Those black leather Acadia's are really nice boots. I will buy a pair after I go through my Durashock Bates boots.
Quality boot for sure. Price has gone up to 430 dollars! Ridiculous!!!
i live in portland and just got my boots for mechanics and welding
they also offer a remanufactering of the boot

Really liked your review , I have been wearing the same danner work boots for 10 years and have a new pair of acadia gtx's on order
i had a of olympic's as well ! the same pair for 12 yrs .full leather no cordua on the sides.
Great review! I bought a pair of Danner APB's and they're brilliant - expensive but brilliant!!!

i love the Trophy™ GTX® 600G Hunting Boots but its so expensive, like 380.. but i guess those last a few years
Check out some Chippewa Snake boots. They might come in handy in Australia.
Great review on Danner Acadia Boots a clear and very helpful video, hope to see more videos soon =)

How long did they end up lasting you?

Ugh. I can't decide which of two I want to get. I have a $350 stipend for work for boots. I kind of am leaning towards the desert. Not sure though.
How do you care for the rough-out leather? You obviously can't polish them
How much do they weight the Black ones overall weight please answer
Nice and informative review, thank you. What about sizing and fit? Do they fit true to the size or what? Does black and desert both same size? I have Acadia HOT and looking to buy black version, shell I go same size?
I see those are 12 D. I was wondering what size in sneakers do u wear? Like Nike’s or whatever brand like those.
Great looking boots. I'd like to try them on for size before shopping online. Can you recommend any shops in Sydney that stock them?
Nick Strong I only know of the Tactical Shop in NSW and Platatac in Melbourne…
thanks mate
i have the same pair of black one i just got them today new i love them thanks for the great vids and i made a vid of the danners not as good as yours lol
Watch out they changed hands since 1932 !!
Hello Friend, I am fell ill by these handsome. how can I buy them? this is the best I've seen. Very impressive.
Great boots
What about freezing weather?
They have insulated versions too
affordable i don't think 340 dollars is pocket change for most people
AMAZING REVIEWS. just what i neeeded ur awesome
+mej2153 Yeah it was a bit shaky and one of my first videos LOL but still gets the information out there...
Do they fit big? I normally wear a 12 1/2 - 13?
+CWG 5359 yes, they go right up to 15 or 16 from memory
Aussies just don't appreciate good quality boots (maybe besides rm williams). There are so many good quality outdoor, Goodyear/stitchdown boots. I hate seeing guys wearing those bulky lace up construction boots for hiking etc
What's the difference between 200g insulated and regular lining? Someone please help! Are they a lot warmer or seems like extra cushioning? Thank you!
Yes, they are simply insulated for the cold. If you're in hot weather don't go for the insulated boot.
Will these support my weak ass ankles.
