I was having pain when I bend my knees in a 90 degree angle and I did this as she recommended and the pain magically went away...thank you for this great video and for your knowledge of the knee 🙏🏽
Your videos have been extremely helpful for overall arthritic and joint pain relief. I hope to defined legs again. Looking at your legs helps me keep on task. Not to mention I am getting pain relief as I strengthen my body. ❤
Thank you so much, Alyssa. I have a miniscus tear and ra. I hope this will help. Many of the other exercises flare up my knees. But yours are very helpful.
First of all I am a straight female and your the perfection of your legs make me watch your videos. The exercises you show however are perfection times a thousand. I have done sports all my life and now at 40 have patella baja something, can't use stairs for over a year. My physiotherapist is sweet but seriously, your exercises... are ... well ... I would pay to learn what you show. But you have allowed me to learn for free. Really thank you sooooooo much. I will be following and doing these exercises. They are literally amazing as I know the issues I have with movement.
Funny the legs look different to the rest? Like tanned etc? It's obvious she's proud of them. These exercises would NEVER build the muscles she has. It's ridiculous having super fit people showing elderly unfit (normally) people who haven't done proper physical exercise in years and that's why they are suffering now Most are far too late to recover.
I would love to know the full workout routine you do to strengthen and build the muscles in your legs. I do strength train and yoga but still am lacking in Muscle definition. Your legs are stunning and are clearly very strong.
I have this - caused by driving standard stick shift car & having to use my left left leg & knee to change gears Yikes! So these are great exercises - other than my great p/t helping to help my meniscus!
Thank you. I ask the orthopedic surgeon I saw what exercises I could do to strengthen my knee or should I go to therapy after he diagnose me with 2 years in the meniscus. He said no I didn’t need to do anything. Well that was 7 months ago and now my knee wants to give out on me. I am now using a walker for safety, so that I don’t fall and break something. I am so g😢to find some exercises I can do to strengthen my knees and legs. Because walking the way I do throws my hip out.
I have a bucket handle tear and the calf is getting absolutely hammered bc there is no support left in my knee with this tear. Just remember folks, you may need surgery. The longer you go without could potentially make it worse as well
Ya i had a full bucket handle tear with a completely displaced portion of the meniscus. I couldn’t straighten my knee and bending it just felt so stiff for weeks. Had no other option besides surgery with that kind of tear
@@Refillyowill i’m a week post-op today (surgery last friday AM). First couple days/nights were really rough for pain, but I avoided the oxycodone and just took tylenol and ibuprofen. Now, I can set my leg down straight (in the locked brace of course) to balance but can’t put much weight on it yet. Otherwise the pain subsided substantially by Monday evening after removing the bandaging and showering and applying new bandages. I have my post-op follow up next Friday. Too soon to really say much more. It aches a bit at times, especially at night, there’s some bruising and swelling still, and i’m relying 95% on crutches unless i’m standing still and can use my bad leg to just maintain balance. Hope that helps!
Mines doing pretty great considering. 5 weeks out of work sucked really bad. But the results have been really good for me. Back to the gym now and can run/jog just a bit here and there
That was impressive watching your thigh muscles while you sit down. I'm being told I need a right knee replacement. I'm scared of it. Is there anything else I can so to add space between my knee bones again?
Thank uuuuu...much needed since years ..I have slight horizontal miniscus tear ..I ddnt know wt to work ..was told not to bend knee more than 60 degres
I fell a trampoline park 4 years ago my kneecaps slid down the inside of my leg all the way to my ankle four times and I heard a loud pop which was my ACL Excel I miss them both up I opted out of the surgery I was 54 at the time I went to some physical therapy they said I'd never crossed my legs where heels are walking sand I bought a ladder and painted my house I can do those things they have to be clunky Hills is the only thing but I will do this because once in a while I get some fluid on there and pain. My problem is I was a gymnast for years and I'm double jointed in my knees and I have a tendency to stand with them locked that's why I got so injured when I went to grab that ball and fell and struck a piece of wood anyway thank you I will try it
Clearly her knee is Completely fine. That's why she's able to do this exercise. You can practice these exercises After your leg has Completely healed. .
Am 50 years old, playing intermediate badminton. Having severe meniscus pain. Can I play badminton for at least 3 days a week by doing this exercises simultaneously. would it help in reducing my knee pain
Thanks again for these exercises as I have a miniscus issue in my right knee. I have tried an exercise where I squat against a wall holding the position with my back upright, knees bent and hold for about 20 seconds. Is this a suitable exercise too?
Not sure if I have this problem but my knee has internal swelling and it is hard to fully bend it. I can easily extend it with no pain but there would be pain with flexion. Is this tibial shift or a meniscus issue?
What can I do to get upstairs and stand or kneel with both knees having osteoarthritis with bone spurs in both. I also have osteoarthritis and DDD in my back. I need someone to help me with stairs(I've fallen times)I'm a prisoner of my body😢oh and I also have osteoporosis mainly in the left hip.
Madam I had lateral meniscus tear.I have recently gone through 2 OT one for meniscus tear and another ACI (cartilage transplantation)due to cartilage lesions also .but still I feel the pinching during the weight shift from hill to toe .Right now i am able to bent near 120 degree and able to straight my leg also from extensive physiotherapy without any pain from last one month. but during walking still i am felling the issue once i am trying to shift my weight from hill to toe.could you kindly help 😢.
Essential exercise from Alyssa. I wonder if regularly trading out the wearing of strong, durable or, particularly, less heavy 👢 👢 or 👞👞 might avoid that wear n' tear for recuperation. Maybe try wearing sneakers daily, like well fitting Sketchers, when affordable.
I was a small college basketball player. Now I’m 72 and literally cannot jump. Not even 2 inches. 3 years of rehab from spine, hip, and knee surgeries sort of left me without a lot of walking time. I also get massive cramps in my hamstrings if I am laying down and bend my knee by pulling my heel back toward my butt. Any exercise ideas for me?
The channel has quite a few longer form videos you can look into for exercises. You can also look into my premium membership, Adventurers for Life. www.keeptheadventurealive.com/start. Hope to see you inside. What college did you play for?
If your meniscus is still healing, as in you recently injured it, DO NOT perform exercises where you have to completely straighten your leg. It likely hurts to straighten your leg completely or bend it all the way. Avoid these exercises and check with your doctor first. You could injure your meniscus further. These exercises are for when you are at the point where you can start to strengthen the muscles around it, NOT at the very beginning after you've just injured yourself.
Thank you, I needed this. I have a tear in my knee. God bless you
Glad it was helpful!

I had a lateral meniscus tear which required surgery
It's been 2 months now
And I'm allowed to walk
Can I do these exercises now

Hi not sure where to start in pain 🙃

my knees couldn't straighten (locking). how to do the exercise?
Thinking, how you developed thigh muscles.
I have meniscus tear How much days after I feel relief maam ?if I do same exercises
You have the best legs
Thanks!

this isn't true- actually many meniscus tears can heal on their own depending on the location.
