Hello Dr David. Im 43 and have knee pain from many years. But suddenly the pain aggravated and I realised that my right knee hurts more and noticed that my tibia looks misaligned. The NHS in UK fails to make a diagnosis and I'm fed up. I'm gonna continue following your exercise videos and am confident will heal my pain. Thanks a ton. 🙏

This is MIRACULOUS. I have been dealing with inner knee pain on and off, sometimes agonizing for 3 years. Began gradually, went to an orthopedic specialist first that just diagnosed IT Band irritation, gave me a knee brace (and billed the insurance $3800 for it), then sent me on my way, then visited an ortho surgeon who cursorily examined the leg and had an MRI done interpreted as "MCL and ACL sprain", 4 weeks of PT and Mobic prescribed, with limited healing. YOUTubing exercised have helped me 10 fold, with this AT THE TOP, thank you SO MUCH.

I basically blew the whole thing to shreds). Did a few reps of this exercise and finally FINALLY felt something pop back into place. I could CRY. Thank you thank you thank you

This is amazing. I injured my meniscus 8 weeks ago while skiing. For weeks I could barely walk. Eventually the pain subsided somewhat, but it never completely stopped and I’ve limping around constantly.
I went to the orthopedist and they wanted to shoot me up with steroids. They said it was a bruised meniscus and not a tear. I decided to wait on that a little longer and was going to schedule some PT. Then I came across this video and tried the routine as described.
Day 1 my knee was functioning at 80% with minimal pain. Day 2 my knee was functioning at 100%, with ZERO pain. I’ve played tennis two days in a row since trying this and Im pain free. This really works!

Doc, I’d come see you if I lived in your state, but I don’t. 😞 on my leg with my injured knee, when I stand straight up with feet forward, my knee (and leg) rotates a bit inward post injury. This makes me think I have a tibia shift … particularly given the accident of slipping on wet floor and rotating my upper part of leg inward while keeping the foot planted. And felt a pop of the inside of my leg, maybe knee…not sure of exact location - just a slight sensation, no sharp pain when it happened. Will this technique help? Should I do the Medial tibia shift or the reverse technique? I pray your technique can help…I’ve been searching for a solution for 5 months now. If you can help???! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

This tibial shift turned out to be my main knee problem. Travelled on an airplane for 15 hours. Cramped seating.
I then started to have trouble straightening my leg after bent sleeping posture through the night . It was painful. Did massage that helped how my knee felt, but no true cure. Soon, I had quad fatigue halfway up my thigh. It never bothered me to walk, but knee ached when I bent it or lifted it.
I had no hope the movements I did as directed in this video would work.
    The movements
Immediately cured the problem. I mean Immediately!!
    Thank you

I teach 1st grade, have 10 grandchildren and am very active (or was.) Serious medial pain and inability to walk. I essentially was dragging my left leg. After doing this unlock method, I felt immediate relief. I've also started the glute exercises you recommend for knee arthritis. I can actually walk now with minimal pain. I just watched you video and put your exercise into action. Instant relief. My right meniscus was operated on 8 years ago and I twisted the wrong way 5 months ago. I've been doing everything the physio told me too. I've had an MRI recently, but can't get to see the specialist for 3 months (unbelievable) so I did your exercise for a couple of minutes and I felt instant relief. I walked around the house double checking that it wasn't a placebo effect where it was all in my head. I'm going to be repeating this many times over the coming weeks, as well as implementing your other glute strengthening exercises. Thank you so much for sharing your professional knowledge in a way that is explicit but also for the common person. Much appreciated! Can't wait to see how the next few months changes for me.

I have to comment again only six hours later, and thank you profusely. I'm disabled, both knees rebuilt after being hit by a car many years ago. I couldn't understand why sometimes I would barely be able to walk, and other times I could almost run if I needed to. Recently I moved to a new apartment; after carrying heavy loads every day for just a couple of weeks, the pain was intense and I lost range of motion in my left knee; it was like someone tied a lead weight to my foot or ripping my knee apart.
I did the motions while watching the video, then went shopping at Costco, which I wasn't looking forward to because of all the walking. The pain from the movement is completely gone! Of course it still aches because this has been going on for two months, but it doesn't feel like someone stuck a knife in my knee joint, and just left it there anymore.
And now I just got home, felt the area around my knee where it's usually puffy, but the swelling is gone! It hasn't been like that in years!
I really can't thank you enough.

I am 63 yrs old, active and workout every day yet bc of age I am experiencing injuries anyway like MINISCUS tears (so frustrating!). I have been doing a lot of research for ways to heal my body without going the route of doctors who are quick to recommend surgeries to correct things like tears in my rotator cuff as well. I have had cousins and friends who automatically went that route bc they trusted a doctors advice and are now worse off bc of the surgery (well shouldn't we trust Drs advice bc they are trained and educated? Quick answer ..no) I am finding more answers for long term strengt/ recovery for my injuries through physical therapists who suggest things like this and yoga stretches. I am really happy to have found this video and can tell you that it does work! Now THIS is why I appreciate TH-cam existing! These videos are a wealth of information without having to go through the hassle of trying to find a trustworthy doctor to help solve issues such as a MINISCUS issue.

I just did this twice and I could stand up without pain. After a short walk it hurt a bit but I have had this for three weeks meow and I'm going to do it over the next few days. I was not expecting much of a result because there's a heap of really bad stuff on TH-cam. “Knee Meniscus Help”
      th-cam.com/play/PLJVIPiFvv1mZ9Vh4eRH3UlmMeqOUtB-6a.html
Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not.
We hope you found this information helpful to you. We'd love to hear how you are doing as you progress.🙌 Please take care!

This movement really helped my pain. I don’t get the pain sitting down or standing still. Only get the pain when I walk and put pressure on the knee. I also do the leg exercise by turning the foot and dragging it under me leaning forward as describe in your other video on this subject. Don’t know how to thank you for posting this video. Pain has been reduced where I can partially walk on the knee and every day that I do this, the pain gets better. Thank you for posting this! Didn’t think I would really walk again only being 64 years old and have so much going on.

I twisted my knee twelve weeks ago. I have been hoping that it would cure itself, but there had been no improvement. This instruction just popped up on my TH-cam, and the way that you described the pain fitted my symptoms, so I tried your method exactly as you described. There was an immediate relief of pain. I repeated the treatment three or four times during the day, and now in less than twenty-four hours I can feel that it is back to normal. Thank you so much for this advice.

My knee trouble started after doing the ab and aduction machines at my gym this summer. When I got on the treadmill later, I knew something was wrong. I was walking with a cane a couple of days later. An MRI revealed cartilage loss and other issues in my knee. But, they didn't hurt until I moved them with the machines.
I got the gel in my left knee. It helped, but the gel can't straighten out my knee joint. I just did these moves and I definitely got some relief. I'm 75 and a contractor. I need my knees. Thanks, doctor, I'm going to keep doing these moves.

My right knee started locking suddenly while I was at the gym doing calf muscle exercises on the machine. After moving into a house with lots of stairs, my knee began hurting a lot, and I’ve had difficulty bending it, feeling like it’s losing its strength. Four days after these symptoms started, I felt 40% relief in just 10 minutes after doing this method . Thanks a lot!

I tried this about 6 months back and it didn't help at that time, because I didn't watch the video closely enough. Turns out, I was doing it the opposite way I needed, since my knee is missaligned, poking inward instead of outward. I tried it again, doing all of the actions in the reverse direction and found more relief from this than anything else I've tried. Thank you so much! I will definately keep doing this.

I had surgery done on both knees in 2008. The knee surgery had a 20 year life. The other day, I started having stiffness and pain on the left knee with the old feeling of bone on bone coming back. I suspected something had shifted. Than I came across you exercises. Within a day, I could feel great improvement. Now that I am back on the road to recovery, with the knowledge that this area takes time to heal, I can not thank you enough for your great service. Only those who have suffered with this kind of pain, know how much we have to thank you.

I tweaked my left knee yesterday at the driving range hitting a bucket of golf balls. They had the grass roped off, making everyone hit off the matts/turf/. I rarely hit off them, and I feel my foot couldn't pivot properly thru the golf matting as it does thru grass/dirt. I tried this excercise after a day of pain and it feels much better. I only did it for a few minutes! Thanks for the video, best one out there 👌

Knee pain was causing me sleepless nights and in the morning taking 15 minutes trying to get my knee joint to painfully clunk into place. I couldn't straighten my knee at all when lying down. I had to have pain medication every day. I had stopped doing all but the necessary housework and going to work (sitting all day). I started using the advice here and I can now stand and walk with little or no pain within a maximum of 3 minutes and life is so much better. Im moving on soon to the recovery exercises and also the foot exercises which I had to stop. I highly recommend you give it a go.

This is a fabulous video and the technique makes a lot of sense. Thanks for being a great teacher! I’ve had a shifted tibia for many years. It’s part of the severe osteoarthritis. It’s shifted medially. My ortho surgeon said nothing about how this can cause a meniscus tear. Had I known I could have done work with a PT to try to prevent this. Well last week I messed up my knee big time and finally made it to urgent care for a brace and eval today. The pain is on the lateral side. Doc suspects meniscus tear. He said his wife just did the same exact thing and spent the first week in a wheelchair. The action was pushing my foot into the floor while sitting in a low chair and twisted knee due to leg out to the side as I was trying to get up to standing. Xray tomorrow. Ortho doc Friday for MRI order. I see my PT next week and will ask her about this technique you taught. I’ll try it on my “good” knee and see how it feels. The bad (worse) knee is too flared/acute right now to risk it I think.

First time hearing about tibial shift and you have my attention. This is fascinating.
I fractured mine in 1976 and remains protruded to the touch as it was shy of compound.
The exercise and explanation is well demonstrated so thank you. My condition is extreme
considering the many years of compensation that include other injuries from top to bottom,
literally. My knee is causing a new pain limiting my walking and for the first time showing inflammation.
I'm a Sub now and look forward to learning more.
