I recently got into fishing. Yesterday, I caught my first largemouth bass by throwing in a Texas rig with a 7" dark green senko from shore. It was a bit rainy and water was not clear at all but the fish aggressively went for it. Awesome.
Congratulations now your hooked, you'll learn that a boat stands for Bust Out Another Thousand and that a boat is a hole in the water you throw your money into, you will also learn that women are not just jealous of one another, and you may even learn that divorce is caused by four letter words and its not any of the four lettered words your thinking of right now, lol, boat, bass, fish, reel, pole, line, bait, hook, etc. Etc. How big was this first bass?
@@highjenks3d bro. U either have been there or there as I type. Anyways you hit the nail perfectly. I've been having a false river tournament thrown in my face at every opportunity from months ago bc I simply entered the tournament. Even tho we had no plans. They just want us to sit home and ROT with them bc they won't get out in the heat and fish. " it's too hot" .. stop being a pussy and fish! Or stay home. Women hate everything that excludes them. It's their nature. God forbidden u find one who loves everything we love. She would be worth trillions
Going this morning. Using a 10 inch Green Pumpkin Senko worm 5/0 EWG hook. 1/4 Tungsten slider with two red beads to protect the knot. Been using a 8 inch Red Shad twister tail too. That Red Shad produces on a 3/0 EWG. The bass inhale the 3/0 hook. Never even feel the hook. Then Bam! They stay on! Good luck out there. Wear your sun screen too. Shawn.
I got my first boat 3 years ago and Immediately I knew I didn't know how to fish (on the lake). You guys have saved me thousands. I put bigger than average fish in my boat alot. I'm not smoking 10's but thank you. People don't know that being on the lake means you gotta learn the lake. I'm going to Okojobi, Iowa in september. Now I get to see if I can break a lake down in a different ecosystem all together...
Legit, watched this video just after it dropped. Went out this evening and followed the pattern. The a lipless around with little more than a couple follows. Threw a black n purple 8" ribbon tail on a Texas rig. Drug it along the bottom and doink on the 3rd cast with a 4lb largie. Thanks guys!
I know Tim is 4real about throwing giant baits but it makes me laugh so hard when I see a 19" worm or a 12" swimbait! Thanks for the Video guys! See yall on the water.
Man throwing these big worms will make you not wanna throw anything else during the summer period lol first time doing it I caught a 7 and a 8 with in 10 cast of eachother
Needed this video Tim ! Sometimes we make things to complicated.,especially fishing from the banks. Going now with just worms and jigs ! Thanks for all the Gr8t videos and knowledge going out this afternoon. (Update ) just got back from fishing today ! The Bass killed my Texas rigged worms. Went weightless, they were annihilating them ! Surface , bottom didn't matter . Too bad the storms came in cause I had to leave . Caught 5 nice Bass and lost at least 4 ! Good stuff !
Excellent video love the explanations of why and how and the quick technique tips. I recently bought a boat and have good electronics bought big worms and looking to go offshore. Very timely. Thanks
Took the Mann's jelly worm to Clearlake this weekend and absolutely demolished the bass!!! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️by the way I rigged it weightless with a 7/0 ewg hook
Worm fishing produces, bites& catches! Used 10 inch ribbon tail purple worm, other day, on a stand up jig, caught a lot of bass, but not the donkey, I was hoping for!
Omg!!! Amazing video and great tips!!! That huge worm is insane!!! 😆 Tim, what kind of shades are you wearing in this vid? Are those the Tactical Bassin shades? I really love them! Great video as always!!! 💜 #1tacticalbassinfan
I realized that fish will eat things larger than themselves when i say Ohioriveranglers pull a 22" snake out of a 21" LMB's mouth! lol Shortly after, i caught a 4" Warmouth on a 6.5" Zoom trick worm. Great lessons.
My main issue with worming this time of year, being a pond hopper all my bodies of water are inundated with that nasty slimy grass. Near impossible to fish without dragging all that slime every cast.
I hear you… at my fav local pond in the Spring, I’m throwing jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, etc and slaying them. Yesterday only thing I could throw was a toad or frog. Not that I’m complaining….Always fun to catch em on those. But yes, that green slime makes worm fishing near impossible.
thats when i downsize my weight and use a lighter wire hook, unless its super windy. it really helps your bait sit on the tops of thick algae instead of dig into it. you do have to fish slower, and its a total pain when its 90 degrees, but man it makes a world of difference.
I fish that bull worm, or the trick worm, texas rigged without a weight. Twitch, twitch, pause. The bass come unglued on it. That is one way I work around bodies of water with a slimy bottom.
The thing I like about fishing, is going out with thousands of dollars worth of gear, and a kid on a dock catches a record on a French fry. Fishing my first tourney next week. Don’t think I won’t have some French fries in the bag.
Our lakes here in Eastern KY are always beat to hell with Big ole worms but they still catch fish. But if I don’t have the crankin stick in my hand it’s always a 8” flutter spoon
Back to it. Sorry I left you when it was time to hard water fish and then in spring I'm big into walleye. Now that things settled down and the walleye and perch headed for deeper water I'm fishing damns for largemouth and smallmouth
Can you guys do a video on weight vs depth? Sometimes I honestly struggle when looking at buying weights bc there are so many options but I feel like there are 3 or 4 that are really the only ones used. By this I mean weights for swim baits in shallow water vs deep water. Would be very much appreciated!
They work awesome whacky rigged in spring time. Or rigged like the old school floating worm, in other words dont put weight on, and rig em kind of crooked. You can make them trick worms do some crazy shit. Guess that's why they call em trick worms. I hate fishing both of those ways but when that bite is on seems the more crazy a color you use the better and I'm no fool. I'll tie one on with the rest of em. Methoirlate catches tanks every year. Yellow will too. Hell if you can catch em on a bright bubblegum pink worm, they'll hit yellow ones to. My dad use to smoke me on these worms he had that smelled like bananas . Had some that was solid yellow and some that were black and yellow. Straight up weedless worm hook with the wire guard no weight on 8 pound mono, and he killed me with those things. He just ran out of what seemed like a never ending supply of them couple years ago, and he wanted me to find him some. Luckily for me I can't seem to find any lol.
I had to squint and rub my eyes at the beginning of this video 🤣 I thought, great my years of hedonism have finally caught up to me and my depth perception is the first thing to go🤣 my gawd that's an enormous chunk of plastic.
I’d like to find a channel where the host’s home reservoirs are mountain reservoirs that draw down 100’+ each year. These shallow eastern lakes surrounded by beautiful greenery are hard to relate to.
That damn Upton's custom looks like it belongs in a xxx store man!!!!!! Damn that thing is huge!!!! Lmao. I use a 15 inch worm alot but never thrown one that big. You probably ain't gotta use much if any weight at all with that thing
Great videos been watching you guys for a long time. I have a question for you. I live in Central Florida, do you ever use a shakyhead rig in the Florida waters i've always thought of it as northern waters type rig where you have a lot of rocky bottom?
Hey what bait and technique should I use as a bank fisherman who fishes a reservoir with a lot of grass on the bottom? There are some places where it’s rocky but for the most part there is grass unless you cast past it far out. Any suggestions?
Anything weedless is probably your best bet, unless you know how deep the grass starts. In that case you could use a lipped bait that dives and just run it over the top of the grass. But, honestly? A texas rig almost always works. Super simple, catches like crazy... Turn the hook into the bait to make it weedless and you wont have too much issue with grass. Its a solid choice.
That second or third clip of the bass caught, it looks at the camera as you hold it up to it and then looks away as you start moving him away. That’s funny to watch
Can you do a vid on shallow summer fishing up North. In order to fish offshore in the middle of summer in Western New York you need real good electronics.
Hey Matt, love your show and watch it whenever I can. I live at Lake Kiowa, which is a bass tournament lake but it’s pretty small compared to Texoma or Ray Roberts. I fish off my dock more than on the boat. Do you have any advice for me for summer fishing?

please don't apologize for very long, very informative videos
I love seeing that MEGA pink worm in the thumbnail! also love when you guy show how you are working the bait, not just explaining what you do!
I found one of those purple worms in my moms sock drawer....I didn't even know she fished!
Best comment ever🤣
😂😂😂🤪
BWHAHAHAHA!!!
Haha!
Lmaooo hell yea
perfect timing for the vid as always
Just in time for New York

I was waiting on this one! Thanks Matt and Tim😁

Excellent advice as always Tim thanks brother you guys are rock solid thanks again 🎣👊🎣
It was great to see Tim show the retrieves for each type of worm. Very informative video.
Awesome in-depth video on plastic worms. I don't mind the length of video as long as it's full of information.
What else can I say… Another world class vid from two of the best in the business…
I love dragging around a big worm on a Carolina rig man. So glad it’s that time again! Awesome video guys!
Honey in the Wormster!! $$$
All the colors really.
Great vid.
I know Tim is 4real about throwing giant baits but it makes me laugh so hard when I see a 19" worm or a 12" swimbait! Thanks for the Video guys! See yall on the water.
Love!! The Big worms video. Really love the Magnum Baits. I change the retrieve after 3 cast then return to pop pop lift 🤙☮😎
U guys are the best on TH-cam. Always so informative. Keep up the great work guys
Hahaha "Big Worm don't play around! You know this maaaan" - Smokey (Chris Tucker) in Friday.
Love it, patience is the key with worm fishing.
I recently got into worm fishing and have good success. This video will be very helpful. Thanks and keep them coming.
seeing matt rock the hmg in the background made my morning!
Thank you for an excellent training video on the good ol’ worm. For many of us, the sport started with a big night crawler on a hook with a bobber.
Working is by far my favorite way to fish!! Thanks for all the great tips!!
You guys should have waaaaay over a million subscribers... these tips are much appreciated and have helped a lot!
Gonna get some more confidence in worms this year! Thanks guys!
Man throwing these big worms will make you not wanna throw anything else during the summer period lol first time doing it I caught a 7 and a 8 with in 10 cast of eachother
Really like the demo part of the videos guys!
I Always learn something new from your videos!! Thanks!
Two bobber stop system work great 👏🏻👏🏻🍻
How you say hop hop is gold my friend 🤌
so love the Netbait T-mac and the 11" & 15" C-macs
Love this subject especially rite now (summer) thanks tim. God Bless and tight lines.
*Holds up small worm vs magnum worm*
Tim: "You vs. The Guy she told you not to worry about"
Lol 😂

@14:35 when matt thinks he’s snagged…. Nah just a tank! Amazing clip!!!
A 10" power worm has been my go to for years.
That's what she said
He'll ya tim ! I've been waiting for this one
I'll definitely be throwing a bigger worm! I mostly use a Texas rig. Tight Lines!
Been crushing it on the shakey head after your videos ! Love it. I still haven’t had any luck with the wobble heads ugh but I am trying
I really like V&M Bama bug lizards or worm. Great worms and action.
Another fantastic video, Tim! Thx much!
thanks Tim to share your tips
One of my favorite ways to catch em!
Awesome video! Y’all are the best!
Would love to see a night time tips video that's what I fish 90% of the time in the summer
Great as always
I'm adding shaky head to my arsenal
Worm fishing produces,bites& catches!

Great info!!!! Thanks for sharing
Going to try the 12 inch junebug on a Carolina rig this weekend. Thanks Tim.
Omg!!! Amazing video and great tips!!! That huge worm is insane!!! 😆 Tim, what kind of shades are you wearing in this vid? Are those the Tactical Bassin shades? I really love them! Great video as always!!! 💜

Great instructional!
Thanks, Tim. I don't "peg" my TX rigs. I do add bobber stop to protect the knot.
Thanks for the info!

I’d like to hear about “stitching” big worms in the winter. I don’t think a single channel has really covered this topic.
Tell me more
Same here very interested
Congrats!!!

Whoa! That's no worm! That's a small pink snake!
😂🤣😂🤣👍🏽🎣💪🏾
10” Powerbait Power Worm in Red Shad or Plum. Go to worms on Ky Lake Ledges.
There's just something magical about that red shad color.
Our lakes here in Eastern KY are always beat to hell with Big ole worms but they still catch fish. But if I don’t have the crankin stick in my hand it’s always a 8” flutter spoon

awesome video love the time and effort you guys are putting in for us

I catch tons of fish on magnum ultra vibe/ rage tail worms during the summer.
The 6th sense i believe its called the devine worm is definitely a 🏆 underwater
5 seconds into this vid and I already got my daily confirmation that I have a dirty mind.
Best videos on TH-cam!! How long do you give the reaction baits a chance before you move to worming? TIA
Do you guys long line your baits? When do you know when to long line?
Thanks Tim!. Would you ever consider throwing a florescent yellow worm? why or why not?

Night fishing video would be awesome! Or at least talk baits tips and techniques.
Look for their older vids, they have a couple on this
Would like to see new vids...
KVD sure did put on a deep cranking clinic there on Chick!
Hey Tim what do you use for a hook on that 19 inch upton's custom worm? I would love to fish it.
I was wondering the same thing lol especially if you're throwing a 9/0 or 10/0 on a slender (in comparison) 10-12 inch worm.
I had to squint and rub my eyes at the beginning of this video 🤣 I thought, great my years of hedonism have finally caught up to me and my depth perception is the first thing to go🤣 my gawd that's an enormous chunk of plastic.
Cool. Stuff

I love to worm fish at night in summer...great video... could you explain more about how to not let your fish swallow the hook ???
How often do you re-tie your braid to leader knot?
Tim really likes his 19” worm 😂
Genius
roboworm shakey head ftw.
big fat worms for the summer!! hahaha
That damn Upton's custom looks like it belongs in a xxx store man!!!!!! Damn that thing is huge!!!! Lmao. I use a 15 inch worm alot but never thrown one that big. You probably ain't gotta use much if any weight at all with that thing

I live in central Florida too, I use them all the time, great bait all around especially on shell and brush

that 19 inch worm is the only thing I fish with. I catch a couple 15 pounders every time I go out.
That second or third clip of the bass caught, it looks at the camera as you hold it up to it and then looks away as you start moving him away. That’s funny to watch
Great vid. Been fishing worms for decades. Really hammering them right now on big worms. What is your take on the Cut R Worm?
Literally just picked up some more mag ol' monsters yesterday! Perfect timing! What are y'all's thoughts on the 6th Sense Ridgeworm?
Bro the 6th sense ridgeworm is sick you can T rig it but what I do is put it in a shaky head and wobble head catch some mondos on that
Can you do a vid on shallow summer fishing up North. In order to fish offshore in the middle of summer in Western New York you need real good electronics.
Most of us up here fish docks and around cover with jigs and smaller worms in 5 feet of water
9" Curly tails are destroying it for me in West TN right now. Can't wait to head East and hit the Chic!
Hey Matt, love your show and watch it whenever I can. I live at Lake Kiowa, which is a bass tournament lake but it’s pretty small compared to Texoma or Ray Roberts. I fish off my dock more than on the boat. Do you have any advice for me for summer fishing?
check out the nick cream story. nick invented the cream worm in the fifty's. great read!
